<description>This podcast gives you a front row seat to inside conversations between Ramin Karimloo and his guests.
In the world of theatrical performers, Ramin Karimloo is known as one of the most formidable talents in the industry. Heralded for his portrayal of leading roles Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Karimloo is a musical force unlike any other. In fact, it was his unbridled reputation that led to his performance in the recent Oscar tribute to Les Misérables.

<title>Hanging with Andrew Kober (yes, for a yet another episode!)</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>He started season 3 so Ramin found it fitting for him to end season 3 too and thus welcome Andrew Kober back yet again. In this episode, they dive into some incredibly moving topics such as Kober's funny looking electric scooter, Andrew's amazing new workshop that he can't talk about, about how he couldn't survive more than a few days if stranded on a desert island, but most importantly how to pronounce "Cabaret"... you know, real life-changing topics. There's also some intros and questions provided by ChatGPT. Thanks, AI.

Be sure to follow Andrew on IG via @andrewkober and find more info about The Hang via bpn.fm/TheHang.

      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>This smooth talker hails from South Africa, where he dove deep into the musical theater world. He may be best known for his role as the Phantom in several productions of The Phantom of the Opera, including the world tour. He also played Che in the international tour of Evita, and is otherwise just an all around great guy. He and Ramin share a few words of advice for each other before ending on the much anticipated, soon-to-open reimagined version of Phantom coming to Italy this summer.

      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Alan Markley and Sergio Ortega are Ramin's bandmates who comprise "Ramin Karimloo and The Broadgrass Band". Broadgrass's unique trademark is an earthy sound which organically developed over time. Ramin and the band breathed some Bluegrass into Broadway and brought some Broadway to Bluegrass. The bridge between was the stories told in the music. Now, they have found their groove and their passion.
Make sure to listen to the end to hear a live performance from Alan Markley.

      <title>Hanging with Laird Mackintosh</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Little did he know, but Ramin often warms up to music sung by Laird Mackintosh. Ramin used to stage door in Canada and met Laird a long time ago when, by chance, Laird asked Ramin to hang after a show!
Laird made his Broadway debut in 2011 in the role of George Banks in Mary Poppins at the New Amsterdam Theater in New York City and 2013 he played John Utterson in the Broadway production of Wildhorn's Jekyll and Hyde. Mackintosh began his career as a dancer in the National Ballet of Canada (1990-1992). He studied at L'Ecole Superieure de Danse du Quebec (Montreal), American Ballet Theatre's School of Classical Ballet in New York City and The National Ballet School in Toronto. In 1993 he joined the Toronto (LivEnt) production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera in the role of Porter/Marksman and subsequently went on to play the leading role of Raoul for three years and also to understudy the role of the Phantom. He performed with Toronto's Opera Atelier between 1997 and 2002. In 2002, Mackintosh joined the company of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival appearing as Freddy Eynesford-Hill in My Fair Lady. He remained with the company for eight seasons, playing many leading roles. He has also played Robert in The Drowsy Chaperone (Vancouver), Phil Davis in White Christmas (Halifax), Prince Charming in Ross Petty's Cinderella (Toronto), Gustl in The Land of Smiles and Algernon Moncrieff in Earnest, the Importance of Being (Toronto Operetta Theatre).
In August 2013, Mackintosh joined the Broadway cast of The Phantom of the Opera as Monsieur André and an understudy for the Phantom. On May 5, 2014, he performed a one-week limited engagement as the Phantom between Hugh Panaro's departure and Norm Lewis' arrival. He concluded his limited run as the Phantom on May 12, and then continued to play Monsieur André until September of 2019. In December of 2019, he joined the U.S. tour of My Fair Lady in the role of Henry Higgins, and most recently rejoined the Broadway cast to help finish out the current Broadway run before the show closes.

      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Rach was born and raised in a military town on the east coast of North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Art and Vocal Performance from UNC Chapel Hill, where her professional career began with PlayMakers Repertory Company. After graduation she made the move to New York, and in May of 2019 graduated with her Master of Fine Arts in Acting degree from The New School for Drama. Since graduating she has had the chance to perform Off-Broadway in shows like 'Rabbit Hole', and with companies like Engarde Arts. She has also worked with many talented filmmakers in shorts and features. Rachael is also a writer, and it is one of the great loves of her life. She now has her first comedy pilot, 'Between Us,' in the works with a talented cast including a grammy nominated artist, and WKRP in Cincinnati's Tim Reid. Her pilot was just selected as a finalist in the Vancouver International Women In Film Festival taking place this March.
Moving to this city six years ago was the best decision she's ever made. Since graduating with her masters, she has picked up a bomb-ass team, and found her niche writing whatever the fu*k she wants. She has surrounded herself with an amazing tribe of creators, and gets to play pretend for a living. Turns out, she was made to be a New Yorker, but will always keep a little bit of that southern accent.
What it all boils down to: "I want to do good plays and drink good wine with good people."

<title>Hanging with Will Swenson (and Andrew Kober!?)</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>It's the return of #KoberLoo! This episode is a special threesome hang with Will Swenson, Andrew Kober, and Ramin.
Will Swenson is currently starring as Neil Diamond (Then) in A Beautiful Noise, on Broadway. He is known as one of Broadway’s most versatile leading men and has been seen on Broadway in roles across a wide character spectrum. Will received critical acclaim for his performance as the subversive hippie Berger in the 2009 revival of Hair for which he received Tony, Drama Desk and Drama League Nominations. He went on to perform the role in London’s West End as well. He starred as Inspector Javert in the 2014 revival of Les Miserables, which gave him the (mis)fortune of becoming bestieas with Ramin and Andrew. He played the conflicted drag queen Tick in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, (Drama League Nomination). In Waitress Will performed opposite the show’s creator Sara Bareilles. Other Broadway: Disaster!, Lestat, Brooklyn: The Musical, and his sentimental favorite 110 in the Shade: the production where he met his wife, actress Audra McDonald.
Will played Philo Barnum in the movie musical “The Greatest Showman”, and can be seen in the feature films “This is Where I Leave You”, “The Kitchen” and “The Switch”. Will spent a season on the Netflix series “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” as the evil Professor Carcosa. He played opposite his wife in the Covid/Zombie thriller series “The Bite”. He has guest-starred on “Law &amp; Order (SVU &amp; CSI)”, “The Good Wife”, “No Tomorrow”, and “The Code.” He played Henry Donnenfeld on the Netflix crime drama series “Hit and Run”, and later this year will be seen as the father of the Vampire clan The Fairmont’s in the new Netflix drama “First Kill”. Some of Will’s earliest memories involve listening to his Dad’s 8-track copy of “Hot August Night”. Will can’t remember not having most of Neil Diamond’s songs permanently imprinted on his brain. And he’s super happy about that.
Oh, and Neil Diamond gave Will one of his guitars. An actual Neil Diamond guitar. WHAT!?

      <title>Hanging with Andrew Kober (again)</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Andrew Kober is (still) an American actor who has worked in many musicals, most recently in the phenomenal Beetlejuice, the Musical (check out season 1 for my first interview with Andrew). After closing Beetlejuice, he spends most of his time at home wondering how Rob McClure commutes from Philadelphia to NYC to perform all the time, or playing with his new drone that his wife bought him. He's got an incredible new project he's working on that is not The Notebook (don't worry, he never tells us because he signed a NDA), and is ultimately afraid of how high up I live in the cast housing provided by the Funny Girl production.

      <title>Hanging with Jeanine De Bique</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Today we are hanging with Jeanine De Bique. Described as a "revelation” and “breath-taking from start to finish” (NRC, Netherlands), Trinidadian soprano Jeanine De Bique is recognized as an artist of “dramatic presence and versatility” (Washington Post, USA) with a “voice full of fire and cream in equal measure” (musicomh.com). Ms De Bique holds a Master degree from the Manhattan School of Music. In this Hang we talk about ‘staying ready’ and having a mind-set that keeps your focus on your goals. Like the ‘little train that could’ that would say ‘I think I can, I think I can’ until you can say to yourself ‘I know I can, I know I can’. I’m fascinated and inspired by Jeanine in equal measure. Without a doubt one of the most incredible singers on planet earth today. Jeanine certainly does have ‘the gift’ but she has also grafted to get to where she is today. Jeanine’s continued work ethic to ‘stay ready’ and not resting on any laurels is a blueprint anyone can use in whatever they work towards.
For one to one vocal tuition with Jeanine you can email her at jeaninelessons@gmail.com. www.jeaninedebique.com

      <title>Hanging with Tim Rogan</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Today we are hanging with my buddy, American actor, Tim Rogan.
Tim is one hell of a guy. He has a big heart and is always looking at the positive side of things. He is a great testament to putting your energy into what you can control and letting go of what you can not.
It’s been really exciting to see how Tim has develop his craft over the last few years and started to accumulate credits on his resume that already goes between the stage and camera. But it’s not surprising either. Tim has grit. His focus and determination is second to none but inspiring for us all to see and hear. The work he puts in and his self accountability is something I draw on from time to time when I need to push myself. Truly motivating.

      <title>Hanging with The Dives</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Today we are Hanging with one of my favorite bands, and whose members happen to be three of my favorite people, The Dives. The Dives are Mike, Jimmy and Sergio.
In this Hang, we look how the Band have had to adapt to our restricted times and figure out ways to still grow, create and plan as a band. We look ahead at what 2021 will have in store for them and how they will navigate these times with new material and content.
They are ever evolving and moving with the times and trends but at the core, they are true to who they are as musicians and artists. You will definitely get a sense of what it is that I love about this Band and these three guys. Not only do they have great music, live shows and online content, they are always ... Always good for spreading joy and love. I am never not laughing when I’m around these three.

      <title>Hanging with Rachel John</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Rachel is a British Actress who has played roles in Memphis, The Bodyguard and originated the role of Angelica in the west end production of Hamilton. Rachel and I also got to work together on concert versions of Godspell and recently we did a version of Songs For a New World which we all recorded remotely from our own homes. In this Hang we talk about how we have found our confidence with being comfortable in who we are when we present ourselves for a casting. Checking in with our close connections that help keep our eyes on the prize. We talk about how faith and church played a great part in Rachel finding her voice.

<description>Emily Squibb is a British actress. Emily has certainly been able to get through these tough times with a focus, as goal and a determination. I found that really inspiring and encouraging knowing how Emily had to figure out how she was to navigate herself during these times, not be idle and also not have her future be in the hands of the events of this year. This pandemic as slammed our industry. Emily wasn’t going to be defeated. I’m really proud of her and glad we found some time to hang, catch up and share.

<title>Hanging with Andrew Kober (Part 2)</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Andrew Kober is an American actor who has working in many musicals. In this episode Andrew and I finally catch up as it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other and we talk about spending time at home during the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown. We discuss where Andrew’s love of musical theatre began and how he found that ‘theatre-geek’ in him. Andrew is a really interesting man and is one of the funniest guys I know. I was intrigued about Andrew’s thoughts on how he referred to himself as a craftsman rather than an artist.

      <title>Hanging with Lucie Jones</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Lucie Jones is a Welsh born singer, actress and model. We have been friends since we both we part of the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserables. Lucie has starred in several shows after starting her career out as a finalist on the X-Factor. Why I wanted to hang with my friend, Lucie, was to mainly talk about her solo concert which was recorded for an upcoming live album that will is due for release. When we recorded this Lucie was starring as Jenna in Waitress and was due to go back to finish the run. Sadly that wasn't to be as the Coronavirus pandemic was in full effect about a week after this. However, I am looking forward to Lucie releasing her 'Live at The Adelphi Theatre' album this year.

<description>Eliza Jackson born and bred in Sydney, Australia but now is based in London, UK. Trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts and has worked extensively as a singer, actress and writer. In this episode we look how she developed her critically acclaimed one woman show 'The Voice Behind The Stars', about Marni Nixon. We learn how her incredible Mother encouraged her to write when Eliza was dealing with a life-threatening illness. The courage to just try. The belief of her convictions and following through with what she started. I was so impressed and inspired by Eliza.

      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Simon Bailey has been a great friend of mine for many years now. He's had an incredible amount of experience on the stage. Simon was one of the founding members of Teatro, the world's fastest selling musical theatre super-group. We talk about his time with the group, his time as an actor on stage and also dealing with new chapters in his life. Simon is as charismatic as they come and he's an absolute diamond of a man. Loved hanging with Simon.

<description>Part 2 - Hadley Fraser has carved himself a prolific and diverse career. From actor, musician to writer. From stage to screen. We have known each other for close to 20 years now. We could chat for hours about anything and everything. I'm a fan of Hadley and I'm very grateful our paths have crossed several times professional. But above all, I'm grateful he is my friend and we've know each other for such a long period of time. It's always great to hang with Hadley.

      <title>Hanging with Lambert Jackson Productions</title>
      <link>https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/the-hang-with-ramin-karimloo/</link>
<description>Lambert Jackson is a new, exciting and passionate producing duo. Jamie Lambert and Eliza Jackson hang with and we talk about how they began producing. We talk about what's important to them as producers and what they feel they want to bring to our industry with regards to diversity and finding new talent. In a short amount of time they have already produced stunning one performances, a musical based on the life of American Soprano Marni Dixon, the UK premier of Doctor Zhivago and we are about to work together on The Secret Garden. (Some of this will be dated as it was recorded before the Corona Virus and my trip to Japan for Chess).
