<description>This is the podcast I wish I had 8 years ago, when my beautiful daughter Harper Grace was born still. I have spent the last 8 years devoted to healing, and these are the 15 things I wish I had a playbook for. My hope is that you take what serves you and leave what doesn't, but that in these words, as I share our story, you can find hope and healing. If you would like to get involved with our organization or donate to our cause, you can visit us at www.stillmama.org.</description>

<title>06: How Many Children do You Have?</title>
<description>The dreaded question "How many children do you have" is one that was the hardest for me to figure out how to answer.

In this episode I share with you how my answer has changed over the years and why. I suggest having some canned responses (and practice them!), but more than anything, you never have to share your story before you are ready to.

You can keep your heart protected. We dive into all this in today's episode.

I would love to connect with you - here's how you can find me online.

<title>04: What to Say and What Not to Say to Grieving Parents</title>
<description>We all want to know what we should say to a family grieving a baby, and certainly what not to say. But the thing is, if you haven't experienced it, you truly do not know what is best.

In this episode, I'll tell you what truly is comforting and what makes our blood boil. These aren't just my thoughts, I polled my social media and got some great feedback on what not to say.

If you are grieving, you will feel comforted and even giggle at the way I describe these, and if you are a friend or family member, this is a great resource for you.

<title>03: Why Did This Happen to Us? </title>
<description>The question "why" was by far the biggest question I had. I just couldn't understand why something so tragic had to happen to us. What had we done wrong in life to warrant this? What could we have done differently? What lessons were we supposed to learn from this, because surely this is a torturous way to learn a soul lesson?

Finally, I gave up asking why when I realized that finding an answer wouldn't ease the pain, and that asking why was a distraction from me feeling all of the pain. And then I came up with a few reasons I could live with even though I know I will NEVER actually know why. These were helpful and in this episode, I share them with you and encourage you to answer this question for yourself as well.

I would love to connect with you - here's how you can find me online.

<title>02: Talking to Children About Death</title>
<description>It was one thing to navigate my grief as an adult, but then having to tell my 3 1/2-year-old son that his baby sister had died compounded my grief. I wasn't prepared to have that conversation or any death conversation with him. I wasn't given any helpful resources in the hospital and I really wish I had someone to guide me through that.

This episode is what I wish I would have known 8 years ago about how to have that conversation, and I share with you how it actually went down. What we said, how we said it, and how we continue to navigate the questions we get from all of our children about Harper.

I hope this helps you navigate these hard-hitting questions from little enquiring minds.

      <title>01: Sharing Our Stories</title>
<description>Welcome to the podcast, Mama. I am happy our paths have crossed because I have been thinking about ways to help your healing journey and I decided that if we were to talk 15 times on the phone, these are the 15 conversations we would have. And since life is busy, the podcast was the best way to get these to you.

The first thing we would do is share our stories, so episode 1 is my story. I hope through listening to my journey you will feel less isolated and alone. I hope in this podcast you will take what serves you and leave what doesn't, and that above all else, your healing journey is a little easier because I have shared my story.

      <title>A Time for Hope &amp; Healing | Coming Soon</title>
<description>This is the podcast I wish I had 8 years ago, when my beautiful daughter Harper Grace was born still. I have spent the last 8 years devoted to healing, and these are the 15 things I wish I had a playbook for. My hope is that you take what serves you and leave what doesn't, but that in these words, as I share our story, you can find hope and healing.
