In terms of arms taking the mound, Mike Clevinger stands out as coming at a nice price with good peripherals in a solid matchup. He can dial up the K’s and is one of the bigger money line favorites against the lowly Orioles. The guys also discuss getting Hyun-Jin Ryu at a discount in Coors and whether that’s too risky, Jacob deGrom in a tough matchup against the Braves and Jose Berrios against the White Sox. We’ve got a full day of baseball for FanDuel and DraftKings and the DFSR crew is here to break down the evening slate of games. They discuss some of the pitching options and a trio of pitchers who aren’t exactly throwing like preseason projections had them (both good and bad). They talk about Patrick Corbin against the Marlins, Matthew Boyd’s staggering K numbers compared to his career averages and whether Jake Odorizzi can sustain his big improvements this season. They also touch on Framer Valdez briefly who’s a big favorite against the Pirates. Then they move on to stacks and look at the higher run total in Philadelphia between the Mets and Phillies. Friday MLB DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 6/21/19

It’s a big Friday in baseball and the DFSR crew has you covered for FanDuel and DraftKings MLB picks. The guys look at the plethora of ace-level pitchers going on Friday and work to come to a consensus on where to lean in cash games as compared to GPPs. Chris Sale is the obvious big money target as a -340 opening favorite at home against the Blue Jays. Sale has been dominant over the last two months, recording double-digit strikeouts in nine of his last eleven games. They also look at Aaron Nola coming somewhat cheaper on DraftKings against the Miami Marlins. But there’s also talk of Trevor Bauer and his pitch counts, Walker Bueller’s recent run and even Stephen Strasburg against the Braves. For offensive stacks, the guys look at a super high total in Texas between the White Sox and Rangers, plus possibly the Giants against Taylor Clarke. Friday's Best DFS Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/17/19

They strike out 27% of the time and have the league’s worst wOBA against righties. Scherzer’s peripherals are similar but he has a much worse matchup against the Cubs. It’s a double slate of MLB game for Thursday with a bunch starting at 1PM EST and then a shorter five-game slate in the evening. The theme of the day is the chalk pitchers on each slate. For the afternoon it’s clearly Max Scherzer even up against a tougher Diamondbacks’ offense. Max is an overwhelming money line favorite going in and clearly the best talent going today. You can also pair him with John Lackey on DraftKings in the starting pitcher two slot. Lackey is in a solid matchup against the Phillies and coming cheaper than Scherzer. For the evening slate it’s basically Adam Wainwright or bust in cash games as he represents the clear choice. The drop off in talent after him is pretty stark. For stacks the guys discuss the Nationals coming a little more on the expensive end, the Astros against AJ Griffin, and both side of the A’s/ Twins game.
