<title>ANDREA BOLLEY: Ageism, Art, Drake &amp; Becoming the "6MOM" - MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA EP. 16</title>
<description>This week Marsha welcomes Canadian painter and her beloved dance partner, Andrea Bolley on the podcast to tell the story behind Drake naming her “6MOM” and how she became known to be “the artist who can’t stop dancing” at some of the hottest clubs in Toronto and Hollywood.

Marsha and Andrea reflect on hitting the town together and dancing all night long. From Harriet’s to Delilah’s, and of course, to Poppy's– Andrea tells Marsha that she was discouraged from going out to dance at nightclubs by some of her closest friends and family members because of her age.

Andrea goes on to tell Marsha about her love for music, nightlife, and what it was like meeting Drake, Snoop Dogg, Director X, and Sean Paul for the first time.

Marsha and Andrea discuss ageism, social standards, and how to keep moving (and dancing) to keep your soul alive no matter what age you are.

<title>ZACK BIA: Curating Culture for The Next Generation of Music MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA EP. 15</title>
<description>DJ and Hollywood’s most mysterious face, Zack Bia joins Marsha on the podcast for a chat about how the two of them found themselves in the nightlife industry, and how they eventually became partners of the H.Wood Group, a luxury nightlife venue and restaurant business in Hollywood.

Zack puts the rumors to rest and tells Marsha about the legendary night he met rapper Fetty Wap, and the work it *actually* took to build relationships and party with some of the hottest celebrities in LA. He also shares his upbringing and how he learned to carry himself in the industry at such a young age.

Joined by a special guest, Marsha and Zack reflect on finding a family at the H.Wood Group, and learning the ends and outs of the nightlife business– hosting parties, DJing, booking talent, and more. Marsha and Zack discuss the dedication, wit, and patience it takes to become a socialite and make it in the nightlife industry.

<description>Call your bestie and grab a drink because Excuse My Friend podcast hosts, Heartlyn Rae sits down with Marsha for the funniest chit-chat on dating apps, relationship goals, nudes, crazy ex’s and a fun trivia game of “red flag or deal breaker” to figure out your dating standards and how to catch yourself before you start committing to a complete douchebag.

Heartlyn Rae puts Marsha in the hot seat and asks about her love language and how she finds balance in relationships. In return, Marsha opens up about being trans and how fetishization gets projected in the LGBTQ community.

<title>GABRIELLA HALIKAS &amp; AELXA JAY: “Not Tonight— Too Plus-Sized to Get In?” MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA EP. 11</title>
<description>Sometimes even the most famous celebrities get denied entrance to the club. But not because of this. Marsha invites curve models Gabriella Halikas and Alexa Jay on the podcast to tell their story about the night they were denied entrance to a popular night lounge in Hollywood for being plus-sized. And ultimately, how their night out on the town turned out to be one of the most humiliating moments of their lives.

Gabriella and Alexa spill the tea about what happened that night and call out The Highlight Room and the bouncer who denied them entrance.

Marsha and the girls get real about nightlife culture in Hollywood, size discrimination, and the confidence it takes for ANY woman to get glammed up, step out, and speak up for what’s right.

<description>Marsha sits down with her best friend and fashion designer, August Getty for a live conversation on friendship, sobriety, and navigating gender fluidity in and outside of the fashion world.

August opens up about his collection Tinnitus, calling it one of his “darkest” collections yet, and how it helped him redefine his relationship with creativity and sobriety.

Marsha opens up about transitioning and educating hecklers in public about being trans, and finding balance through masculinity and femininity.

The two deep dive in a conversation about personal strength, what their friendship means to them, and how they’ve championed each other throughout the years.

<description>Celebrity trainer and broadway dancer, Isaac Boots joins Marsha on the podcast to discuss how he built his online fitness community, TORCH’D, during what seemed like some of the darkest days of the pandemic.

From Mama Mia to West Side Story. Isaac tells Marsha that TORCH’D was originally a rehearsal warm up he created that turned into one of the most wanted workout routines for celebrity clients like Brooke Shields, Kelly Rippa, Gwyneth Paltrow, Faye Dunnaway, Arianna Grande, and more.

<title>BONNIE MCKEE: Manifesting Your Dream After Hitting Rock Bottom - MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA Ep. 8</title>
<description>Though we’ve thought about what we want to be when we grow up, we’re not nearly as reflective about who we are now. Marsha sits down with her friend, singer-songwriter Bonnie Mckee to talk about what it meant to manifest her dreams as a teenage pop-star living in Hollywood, and ultimately, becoming one of the biggest co-writers for some of our favorite pop artists to this day– Katy Perry, Brittany Spears, Jason Derulo, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera (the list goes on).

Bonnie explains to Marsha that it wasn’t easy becoming a pop-star at age 16 after all. Shortly after her first album release, Bonnie tells Marsha she was lonely, broke, eventually dropped from her label, and struggled to work through a serious addiction to crystal meth.

Marsha and Bonnie discuss the business of songwriting, and how Bonnie figured out how to rebuild her life after hitting rock bottom. Bonnie also tells the story behind how she met, and eventually co-wrote some of the biggest hits for Katy Perry (“California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Last Friday Night”,and “Roar”).

The two conclude with a discussion on sobriety, and Bonnie shares her new endeavor as a director and actress, in her new short film “April Kills The Vibe.” Bonnie also tells Marsha about her new music dropping in 2023.

Somaya takes Marsha through some of her most traumatic life events. From growing up in a gang to losing her son. Somaya gets real about the effects of living in survival mode, and how she learned to cut ties with toxic people and habits in order to find her way out of the hood, and fully step into her purpose.

Somaya explains to Marsha where she is today in her healing journey– as an artist, entrepreneur, Afro-Latina, and more. Somaya shares how she’s tapping into her sense of self-love and compassion more each day.

<title>MELORA HARDIN: On Sexual Abuse &amp; Transforming Trauma - MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA EP. 6</title>
<description>TW: This episode contains discussions of sexual assault and trauma.

Today's episode theme is "Shame can't live in the dark." Emmy nominated actor and director, Melora Hardin, tells Marsha about her new docuseries, “Thunder, Hunter &amp; Me,” and what she learned about healing, aging, and human connection.

Melora takes Marsha through some of her greatest career moments yet. From “The Office” to “Love, Classified,” Melora knows exactly what it takes to make a great film and compelling characters– however, it wasn’t until Melora met Hunter, a 50-something year old woman who opened up to her about her childhood abuse, that she made a deeper connection with the power of storytelling and how personal transformation *actually* works.

Melora explains why “doing the work” and learning how to heal in your adult life is so important.

<title>LOGAN BROWNING: Hollywood Needs More Black Women Creatives - MARSHA! MARSHA! MARSHA! Ep. 5</title>
<description>Actress Logan Browning (known for her starring role as Samantha in "Dear White People") tells Marsha about what it was like growing up as a child actor, moving to LA without her parents, and how she’s learning to navigate Hollywood as a Black female content creator.

Unlike most kids her age, Logan started her acting career at age 14. She remembers this being one of the loneliest times in her life. [2:44] Marsha opens up about having a lonely childhood as well, and not knowing where to belong. The two share an intimate moment about how scary finding acceptance and belonging can be. [14:56]

Logan talks about becoming a Black female director and honing in on the stories that feel true to the culture. She breaks down the narratives she finds in modern films that make her weary. [29:04]

Marsha asks Logan how she thinks we can teach young people to see a future for themselves, especially as current school curriculum history books certainly don't include everyone. Yet, Logan and Marsha conclude there’s a new history being taught everyday.

<title>CHRIS COLFER: BEWARE of Suppressing Your Magic — from GLEE to a Bestselling Author - MARSHA! MARSHA! MARSHA! Ep. 4</title>
<description>Marsha sits down with actor, author, and Golden Globe winner, Chris Colfer, to talk about queer representation in the media – more specifically, how his lead role on GLEE helped pave the way for the younger LGBTQIA+ community to see themselves on TV – and what it means to protect yourself from bullies, both on and off the screen.

The two start their conversation with high school; Chris tells Marsha that as a teen he was bullied a lot, and that there wasn’t a safe space to identify as gay. This reality followed Chris as he re-lived his high school experience all over again on the hit musical TV show, GLEE [21:04]

Chris goes on to talk about visibility and the impact of writing books for queer youth. He now has published over 15 novels and says some are in countries where being gay is still illegal. Chris knows this is a HUGE responsibility, but as a writer, he wants queer kids everywhere around the world to feel seen [38:52]

Marsha and Chris conclude the episode by calling out the need for more queer writers, directors, and actors. Without representation, there will be no future in uplifting the next generation of storytellers [1:12:35]

<title>BOZOMA SAINT JOHN: Keep Breaking Glass Ceilings - MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA EP. 2</title>
<description>This episode is about fighting for your rights, fighting to be treated right, and fighting for your position. Not only having your own voice, but also having people advocate for you. Hall of Fame Marketing Executive, Bozoma Saint John, dives straight in with Marsha on this heartfelt and powerful conversation.
Boz talks about where her fire comes from within her soul—as a child, constantly having to speak up for herself. Moving from Ghana to Colorado Springs at 12 years old, she talks about the narrative that organizations like UNICEF and World Aid were telling everybody, “that African children were worth one penny.”
Marsha rewinds the clock to 2016 bringing Boz back to her memories of presenting at Apple's yearly World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). At the time, Apple was facing major criticism in how male and white their presenters have been in the past. From her anxiety leading up to the event to her fashion and music choices, Boz gives us the real peek behind the curtain. in tearing down this glass ceiling — and by the way, Boz will tell you there isn’t just one glass ceiling, they keep on coming and you have to keep on breaking them.
The conversation then travels into the dark side of success. When you get to “the top”, there’s the weight of carrying everyone under your wing, and as you grow that weight gets heavier too.
They wrap up their conversation touching on the “failure of trying to fit in.” As these two badass career women will tell you, “we need to be ourselves or it’s not going to work.

<title>GIGI GORGEOUS GETTY: Life's Short; BE YOU, LOUDLY - MARSHA! MARSHA! MARSHA! Ep. 1</title>
<description>Marsha dives into conversation with the fabulous Youtube star, actress and model, Gigi Gorgeous. They get into their journeys of transitioning into the amazing women they are today. Marsha and Gigi begin by talking about meeting in Los Angeles at H.Wood’s club, Bootsy Bellows ten years ago — as Gigi says, it’s been “a decade, bitch!”
The two get into their own childhood stories of wearing dresses and high heels, and stories about parents nurturing (or not nurturing) their kids’ exploration of gender; it’s 2022, are parents actually still getting angry about pronouns and fighting a child to not wear a dress?
Gigi talks about coming out to her parents as gay and later to her family, as trans after her mom passed away. The grief cycle was all too real and life is too short to not live as you are.
Marsha reveals Gigi’s role in being truly the Champion Cheerleader of her name changing from Markus to Marsha on their recent trip to Mexico.
Marsha asks Gigi if she thinks people around her have accepted her transitioning due to her being famous and successful. As Marsha says, “It shouldn’t matter what you do or how people perceive you… but in our society, unfortunately it does matter.”; “If I worked at Taco Bell pursuing my dream as a writer, would people still accept me for who I am?”
They wrap their conversation in talking about the importance of “unlearning” in our society and the weight of representation. Being who we are loudly, so others see themselves in us; being seen and being who we want to be.
