March 2026

This month’s FEGC podcast features two very special guests and friends of Fried Egg Golf: Jack and Amanda Davis. We met Jack and Amanda when they were working up at Essex County Club north of Boston. These days, Jack is the Director of Golf at Merion Golf Club and Amanda is the Event and Field Merchandising Manager for Holderness & Bourne. While these two have amazing professional histories, they have equally fascinating personal travel stories and have traveled all over the world. They join this month to talk about their many journeys to Africa, time spent in New Zealand, golf stories from the UK and Ireland, and then dive into their time around Boston and Philadelphia. No matter whether you are looking to visit one of these places or are just looking to hear stories from interesting people, you’ll get something out of this conversation. Thank you for your continued support of Fried Egg Golf Club and we’ll be back next week with another edition!

February 2026

Fatcork founder and friend of the program Bryan Maletis joined Garrett on this month's FEGC Virtual Hangout for a wide-ranging golf and wine discussion. Off the top, the two pop a couple of Pinot Noirs and discuss what they like about the different wines they'll be consuming during the talk. Garrett, an Oregon native, dives into what local wines and distributors he enjoys, and Bryan talks about some of the higher end Pinot Noirs that are worth splurging for. After a few sips, the pair dive into minimal vs. maximal intervention winemaking, and how those techniques are applicable to golf course architecture. To end the episode, they answer a ton of member questions, including questions on the next wine region that will gain notoriety, what golf & wine combo bucket list trips they want to take, and what you should be looking for on a label when buying wine from your local store. Thanks to Bryan for his time and thank you to you all for your support of Fried Egg Golf Club! And if you'd like to watch this recording, you can find the full video available in the clubhouse of FEGC.
