How are we already through 6 weeks in the NFL season?! That means 1/3 of the season is done already!!

Lots has happened this season already, including plenty of surprises. Eagles are 6-0 and the ONLY undefeated team in the NFL. Who saw that coming? Tom Brady yelled at his teammates. Jets made a Cheese Sauce in Green Bay. The first trade of the season took place and another one is possibly in the works?

Seahawks were back at home taking on the Kyler Murray led Arizona Cardinals. In a match that everyone was expecting a lot of offensive fireworks, turned into a defensive battle with 1 offensive TD scored all game. Kenneth Walker III proved why the Seahawks drafted him in the 2nd round. Coby Bryant forced his 4th fumble of the season. Not to be outdone Tariq Woolen had his 4th INT on the season. Putting his name firmly in the DROY conversation.

The Ravens headed to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Football Giants. After taking an early game lead, John Harbaugh saw his players crumble late yet again. Is Lamar Jackson trying to do too much? Do the Ravens need to trade for a WR? Are the Ravens the definition of crazy? One of their players may think so…

Week 5 in the NFL is in the books and the Ball Hawks have some things to say.

The first head has rolled, the Panthers have given Matt Rhule the axe. Meanwhile, in Washington Brian Robinson made his return that Many Men didn’t expect him to make so early.

The Ravens were in PRIME TIME Sunday night vs the Bengals. After getting out to a 10-0 lead early it fell apart in the middle. But not before Justin “Goat” Tucker had a chance to win it all from 43 yards out.

Those Seahawks from Seattle got themselves into a battle in the bayou vs the Saints! Another back and forth contest where defense didn’t seem to matter to either team. Unfortunately New Orleans got one more stop than Seattle but it was a valiant effort.

Some superstar wide receivers were also on the move. Davante Adams is now back to catching passes from his college teammate, Derek Carr, with the Las Vegas Raiders. And in the first year of Patrick Mahomes' monster contract they had to put down their Cheetah. Tyreek Hill is taking his talents to South Beach and is playing for the Miami Dolphins.

Free agency has started with lots of players finding new houses. Who is winning free agency so far?

The Ravens have brought in some new faces and some returning faces as well. Are there more players they should be targeting? Find out what Steve has to say.

The Los Angeles (LA) Rams, head to the Bay Area to face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Wait, this game is being played at SoFi Stadium in LA? But why are there so many 49ers fans there? Does LA even care about the Rams? Matthew Stafford didn't have a great game but Cooper Kupp reminded everyone why he is in the MVP conversation. Chris and Steve of the Ball Hawks Podcast, part of the Dean Blundell Network, are back! Recapping what turned out to be the greatest weekend in the NFL of ALL-TIME! Where do we even start?! Our heads are spinning after the NFL Divisional Playoffs.

The weekend opened with the #1 seed in the AFC, Tennessee Titans, playing host to the Cincinnati Bengals. Who's to blame for the loss? Ryan Tannehill? Mike Vrabel? Taylor Lewan? The Bengals didn't play perfect, allowing Joe Burrow to be sacked 9 times, but they pulled it off. Should teams be worried about these Bengals?

Saturday evening we saw the NFC's #1 seed, Green Bay Packers, play host to the San Francisco 49ers in a cold, snowy Lambeau Field. Both defenses played championship-level football. Both offenses left a lot to be desired. What does Aaron Rodgers do now? Retire? Demand a trade? Lots of questions looming this off-season for the Packers. Meanwhile, the 49ers and Jimmy Garoppolo are off to the NFC Championship, who would have thought?

Sunday afternoon we saw defending Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Los Angeles(LA) Rams. Could Matthew Stafford pick up his 2nd career playoff win after getting his first last week? Was this going to be the week that Meh Stafford showed up? Tom Brady has his own retirement rumors swirling now as well. Is this it for the GOAT?

Just when we thought we had seen it all and nothing was going to top the first 3 games of the Divisional Round. Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs said, "Hold my beer." The Chiefs and Bills went toe-to-toe, needing OT, to settle an instant classic. Should the Bills have squib-kicked it after taking the lead? Did they play too soft on defense at the end? Can anybody stop Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs right now? The NFL needs to change their Overtime rules right?

The NFL Wild Card round is in the books and we are off to the Divisional round. The Wild Card wasn't that "Super" regardless of how the league tried to market it. This week should make up for what was a lackluster first round with 4 enticing matchups.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play host to Matthew Stafford and the LA Rams. Tampa's offense has multiple injuries, including phenomenal OL, Tristan Wirfs. Can Brady lead the Bucs to back-to-back NFC Championship games? Or will Aaron Donald and Von Miller wreak havoc in that Buccaneers backfield?

The Green Bay Packers enjoyed the week off during the first round. However this week, Aaron Rodgers and co. will be playing host to the San Francisco 49ers. Rodgers is 0-3 vs his hometown Niners in the playoffs. The last time they met 2 years ago San Francisco won in the NFC Championship game. Will he have David Bakhtiari protecting his blindside this game? Or will Deebo Samuel carry his team to another playoff victory?

On the AFC side, the #1 seed, Tennessee Titans will be welcoming back the King for their first-round matchup vs the Cincinnati Bengals. All signs are pointing to Derrick Henry making his return in the double-blues for the first time since week 8. Henry, combined with a healthy Julio Jones & AJ Brown will make for a potent Titans offense. BUT, if there's one team that is built for a shoot-out it's those New Kids On The Block, Cincinnati Bengals! Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase are proving to be a deadly combo already in their 1st NFL season together. Can the kids keep it rolling and pick up a win on the road? Or will King Henry beat them into submission and send them to the gallows?

The marquee matchup of the NFL Divisional Round HAS the Buffalo Bills vs the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense has woken from the dead and seems to be firing on all cylinders right now. Julio Jones is going to be a Tennessee Titan! The guys are back in the studio to discuss whether this makes the Titans a legitimate Super Bowl contender this year, or are they, pretenders? You will hear everything from whether athletes should be forced into mandatory media obligations, to what type of ice cream reigns supreme! We cover it all!

We started this episode by talking about whether or not athletes should have to do mandatory press conferences and media obligations (6:42). Last week tennis star, Naomi Osaka pulled out of the French Open to protect, and work on her mental health, instead of doing her media obligations. The guys discuss whether athletes should have to or not.

Talks shift to the conclusion of the Julio Jones saga (16:44). Does this make them an instant contender? Are they still missing pieces to get them there? Find out the Ball Hawks analysis and why Steve wants to take a Twitter hiatus whenever his team is in the running for a player.

The guys then discuss some too early NFL MVP odds (31:02). Who would they take? Who is their favorite non QB favorite to take the crown. Lots of discussions about what has happened historically.

We then moved to the news that is at the forefront of NFL talks. Did Julio Jones know he was on national television when Shannon Sharpe called him and put him on speaker phone (8:40)? Where will Julio get traded to? What is his value? Will he be a Raven? Seahawk? Titan? Patriot? 49er?

The main attraction of the episode features Steve and Chris going through their WAY too early W-L predictions for each of their teams (Ravens predictions 18:25 and Seahawks predictions 30:55) . Run DK Run and #RunChrisRun

We are back on the mic's Sunday and want to wish all the moms out there a very happy Mother's Day, especially our own mom's and our wives, who are the rocks of our family's!

We start the episode by talking about our #RunChrisRun event that spiraled well out of control into something that was a lot of fun. A slow week in NFL news but topics were, Frank Ragnow's record setting center extension, Eagles claiming Kerryon Johnson and Brandon Beane's recent comments that sparked debate about whether guys should be cut due to their vaccination status. **Disclaimer, we reveal why we did not touch on the Aaron Rodgers news- this is coming with a guest next week**

The guys sat down with former Baltimore Ravens editor, creator of Man of the Crowd Podcast and the Late for Work feature on baltimoreravens.com, Sarah Ellison. Give her a follow on Twitter @sarahgellison. Sarah was gracious enough to do an ENTIRE episode with the guys and this is one all fans will want to hear. We started by asking about her time at BYU and how that led into an internship with the Baltimore Ravens, due to a certain Head Coach of the Ravens at the time. With a lot of hard work and some timely luck, Sarah landed a job with the organization she calls first class. Sarah went into a plethora of reasons why she thinks the Ravens embody that title. She also treated us to a story about the secrecy of the Ravens and how that really showed itself when the Ravens moved back into the first round in 2018 and drafted Lamar Jackson. We also got into recent news about Orlando Brown Jr being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. We talked about trade value and how can you assess a trade in the immediacy or? The guys also picked Sarah's brain about the recent Bucky Brooks comments about the how the Ravens could select Ohio State's Justin Fields in the first round this Thursday at the First Round of the NFL Draft in Cleveland. She had a VERY interesting response! Finally, it wouldn't be an episode of the Ball Hawks Podcast without a Third Down segment. Steve reveals how his wife surprised him during Easter dinner to confirm she, in fact, listened to Episode 4's birthday shoutout to her. Football talks kickoff with the NFL's expanded regular season (10:05). Is it a good thing? Bad? The guys try to shine some light on some potential silver linings and what that means for players. Talks then moved to the recent news of Tyler Lockett's big extension (33:05). Chris is obviously excited about it, while Steve's fantasy football draft blunder of Lockett gets him to play a little devil's advocate. Is it a good contract? Are there concerns? The guys went through their first round mock draft, picks 1-16 (61:21). Find out why Chris was so upset with Steve's "rules" for this first part of their mock drafts. A couple shockers in there with one member revealing that he had Kyle Pitts falling to number 15!!! "With all due respect" was brought in many times to deal with that fiasco. Another installment of the Third Down segment (81:17) this week brings matchups of stadium food! West Browns and Down feat. Ted Wong

The guys were back in studio to drop the 4th episode featuring a very special guest and our very first guest on the show- Ted Wong of the PP1 Podcast. He has also made an appearance on The LarschCast show on Sportsnet 650. You can follow him on Twitter @Tee3ree and follow his hockey podcast @ThePP1Podcast Ted is a good friend of ours and a huge Cleveland Browns fan. He joined us to chat everything NFL and give us the latest on the Browns state of affairs.

The show kicked off with a conversation about Steve's recent Twitter spat with Jacksonville Jaguar minority owner, Tony Khan. Lots of good laughs to kick off the episode.

The fellas kick start football talks with recent Free Agency news (11:26) of the Ravens landing Sammy Watkins, Seahawks re-signing Carlos Dunlap, followed by Ted giving us all the Browns FA moves up to this point.

Talks shift to the NFL Draft and the trades (30:35) that shocked the football landscape between the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins. Then shortly after the Dolphins trading again with the Philadelphia Eagles. The guys then put Ted in the hot seat to give viewers an idea of what the Browns draft needs are and what they could be targeting in the first two rounds (49:01).

The second installment of The Third Down Segment (61:25) where Chris hit Steve and Ted with some football movie characters. The audience is in for a not so close battle filled with Steve unveiling a shocking secret about his football movie IQ. Hint: it doesn't end well for a particular host. We're all still laughing from some of these matchups.

The weekly Shoutout Crown is awarded (88:35) to a group of folks taking the podcasting leap. Chris, Adam, Liz and Jessica from The Third Line Podcast have been supporting our podcast since we started and we are pumped for this group to get their launch. Things get started (2:33) with the news of the big Kenny Golladay contract. Talks turn to (9:20) of are the New York Football Giants for real in the NFC LEAST. Second wave of free agency talks begin with wide receivers (22:08) and move into some other free agents who are left looking for teams. The FIRST segment called the Third Down is introduced (31:37) this episode from Chris about who was the greatest member of the All Name Team of the NFL. The guys wrap up talks about the new TV contract (47:10) for the NFL an what that means for teams moving forward.

Free Agency Frenzy

The guys from the Ball Hawks Podcast are back with their second episode! It was a busy week in the NFL and the guys are here to discuss everything free agency had to offer in the first few days. Discussions start with the Taysom Hill contract. What it is, what it is not, and some of the realities of new types of contracts we are seeing. Good discussion on whether the NFL salary cap is a myth or is it a real thing. Sorry tinfoil hat peeps, you might be disappointed with this part. Steve and Chris talk about an uncharacteristic start to free agency by Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Each guy gives their 2 least favorite contracts given out and 2 of their favorite contracts thus far. Chris decided to take the easy route on this part- what else is new! Finally, they dove into the State of Ravens/Seahawks. The sky was falling but they're here to talk you back into positive vibes. Why the outlook might not be as bad as the fanbase thinks! What was supposed to be episode 0 turned into episode 1. The guys talked about backwards names- Owen Daniels or Daniels Owen? Deep dive into the recent Russell Wilson situation. Chris goes into what it would take for the Seahawks to trade away Russell Wilson, focusing on the teams from Russ' list (Bears, Raiders, Saints). Steve brings up Dak Prescott's contract and how it impacts Lamar negotiations in the future. Chris was bitter about the lack of compensatory picks coming the Seahawks way- the same cannot be said for Steve and the Ravens, including a 3rd rounder for a coach. The guys ended with a brief recap of each team's state of affairs, including personal wish lists for free agency.
