<description>Christy Carlson Romano and Brendan Rooney are in love. They're married. And they're WEIRD AF. You might be thinking, "No, they're not, they're just trying to be cute." Oh yeah? Would a normal person spend their entire life savings on a psychic crystal to attract "true love"? Or smell the food on their fork, right before they're about to take a bite, even in public, every single time? Or keep an ongoing list of every person who has ever wronged them, "just in case"?

One's a former child star, which is not a job title but a diagnosis, and the other's a military veteran, who was repeatedly told by superiors that he was "too intense"... for the Marine Corps, which is like being told you're too wet for the ocean. They've spent their whole lives pretending to be normal. This is where they stop. No format, nothing off limits. And for all of you, like us, who've ever felt "different," welcome home.

New episodes every week, ya weirdos.</description>

      <title>3 - Pet Bricks, Crabnappers &amp; Christy's Replica Head on eBay </title>
<description>Weirdos #3 comes to you live from bed. Christy and Brendan report on a week where the news is weird, the crab is stolen, and a stranger on eBay owns a cast of Christy's severed head.

This week: a mafia-themed charity party with real armed guards checking under the cars, a 12-hour UT football day that Brendan is still recovering from, and a kids' Halloween party outfit that made every husband in the room very uncomfortable. Then the comedy show line from hell, an Uber driver's AI techno playlist that should be studied by scientists, and the time Brendan drove for Uber and his very first passenger was Kanye West. Christy brings the weird news: 3,000 pounds of snow crab stolen out of a truck, a Florida man who drove to the police station on his rims, China's pet brick trend, a man who swallowed $760,000 in Tiffany earrings, and a cop who moved into a dead man's house to "prevent squatters." Plus Rose, Bud, Thorn and a guided meditation for anyone stuck behind a slow driver.

      <title>2 - Fed Ex Zombies, In-N-Out Dealers &amp; Psychic Coyotes </title>
<description>A spider spent the whole episode trying to climb into Brendan's ketchup costume. It almost made it.

Welcome back to Weirdos with Christy Carlson Romano and Brendan Rooney. We're married, we're business partners, and this week we're sitting on our front stoop dressed as ketchup and mustard for no reason at all.

This week, in a Brendetta, the young workers at Federal Express just stare at Brendan like zombies. Somebody is dealing In-N-Out on Facebook Marketplace, and we settle In-N-Out vs. Whataburger (sorry, Texas). Brendan explains how coyotes talk to each other psychically. A woman steals a 12-foot skeleton from Home Depot right next door to the police station, and the cops track her down with a drone. Maine holds a wife carrying championship, a 99-year-old wing walker breaks the record and her 97-year-old rival wants revenge, and in another Brendetta, cyclists crawl down the middle of the road at five miles an hour and get Queen blasted at them.

Every week Christy sends a letter for millennials trying to hold it all together: identity, beauty, burnout, healing, marriage, motherhood, attempted adulthood, the things she actually uses, and all the intrusive thoughts in between. No ads and no algorithm, just honest, funny, slightly feral writing that lands in your inbox. Recent letters cover the loneliness epidemic, what nobody tells you about writing a memoir, and what it costs women to build something in public. Every Weirdos episode is posted there too, so you can watch the full show and read along in one place. Come for the weirdness. Stay to see how much weirder it gets.

      <title>1 - Irish Goodbyes, Naked Florida Art, and Roasting a Freshman’s Face</title>
<description>A college freshman told Brendan his car was hideous. Brendan did not take the high road.

Welcome to the first episode of Weirdos with Christy Carlson Romano and Brendan Rooney. We’re married, we’re business partners, and this week we’re in a hot tub wearing shirts so YouTube doesn’t flag us.

This week we settle whether it’s “cuss” or “curse” (and who on earth says “swear”). Florida Man gets caught naked in a park and tells the cops it’s an art exhibit, then changes his story. Brendan explains why he has to fall asleep with the TV on. He also makes the case for the Irish goodbye. And in a Brendetta, a stranger insults his car and gets “so is your face.”

<itunes:summary>A college freshman told Brendan his car was hideous.

New episodes every Tuesday. Subscribe and turn on notifications, you weirdos.

Christy’s book, Once Upon a Trainwreck, is out now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GPK49FBV/

      <title>WEIRDOS Trailer</title>
<description>WEIRDOS is a new weekly podcast from me, Christy Carlson Romano, and my husband, resident nut, Brendan Rooney. No filter, no idea what we’re doing. Just the two of us saying the things most couples only say in the car on the way home from a party.

This week we getin a hot tub with two microphones and zero plan. Somehow it turned into a Titanic reenactment, a very romantic puddle, and Brendan begging me to never speak again.

If you get it, you get it. If you don’t, you don’t.

🎙️ The first episode drops TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 20 at 9AM ET, right here on this channel and everywhere you get podcasts.
