This is our nightmare. Kidding, kidding. The 2023 Postseason is giving us flashbacks to the 2022 Postseason, sweeping the Wildcard and now splitting two games in ATL. We start by reminiscing about Game1 and how everything was clicking for the ballclub. Then we discuss the disgusting ATL fans throwing beer on the field and also complaining about the new playoff format punishing their team by giving them a week of rest. Loser mentality right there. Suck it, Braves. We end with the unfortunate talk of the Game2 blunders and how it was in hand. A few questionable decisions by the Skipper, but it could have worked out if not for one pitch...and a couple costly errors. Nonetheless, we split in ATL, which was the plan all along. And luckily, the Phillies have the advantage coming home to Philly tied 1-1 as well as the pitching matchups since the Braves still have no idea who is going in Game3. While the Phillies will have their Co-Ace, Nola, and when Strider's turn comes back around, we all know what will happen since he doesn't like the fans or crowd noise anywhere he plays. Yeah, we were hard on them, but it only made them better. They embraced the city and the city embraced them. Droning here, but it had to be said. Anyway, this one starts off with talking about last week's trades and our thoughts on the new guys. Turns out, the Phillies made some decent moves. Especially seeing what Michael Lorenzen brings to the rotation, which should be moving to a 6-man rotation. At least until playoffs. And a great Philly-type guy who had his cell phone fall out of his pocket sliding into third. Nothing more Philly than than right? They made the floors so clean even Howie Mandel would eat off their floors. Yeah, it was bad. Even in the wake of our MV3's return. Not good all around. Anyway...this one is all negative vibes other than Bryce being back 160 days after Tommy John Surgery and Brandon mowing his grass today. Good times. We also discuss the BS that is the MLB and Rob Manfraud with the Phillies having to put in a request for Bryce to get a standing O without receiving a strike called against him for a pitch timer violation and also a request for extra time to put his brace on when he's on base. The MLB DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PLAYER SAFETY. Brandon also watched all these games, so Brandon is currently banned until the Phillies lose another one. We also talk a little about the power rankings and the other bright spot in all that is Phillies baseball with our fantasy team being 4-0 and in 1st place. And of course Dad Jokes. Luckily, they escaped with the series win today with an all -out performance by Trea Turner, Marsh and Walker. Needless to say, there are a lot of inconsistencies and things that this team needs badly right now. Hopefully, the offense can come alive and pitching can calm down sooner than later.
