For years, these soccer champs have gone unrecognized, but that just changed on February 27th, 2025 when they were formally honored by the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame. But… there is only one McBride.

During her six years as a student-athlete at SLU, Bri earned a multitude of individual honors - from Defensive Player of the Year, to All Conference recognition, to their 25th Anniversary team and more. All of her individual efforts helped her Billiken team towards some of their best records, including five A-10 tournament titles, four A-10 regular-season crowns, five NCAA tournaments, and SLU's school-record 15 shutouts and 0.45 goals against average that ranked third in the nation. NOW, Bri is focused on soccer life after playing, currently as a SLU Assistant Coach, reminding us that “soccer is a game of seconds” and when it comes to an athlete’s self-advocacy, “don’t take their voice from them."

Casey finally found her sweet spot in club and intramural soccer in college at Missouri State University. Sidney found success with JB Marine soccer club, moving on to play for the University of Missouri - St. Louis where she was named to its 2010-19 All-Decade Team. Sidney was able to continue with the game playing for the Women's Premier Soccer League team, Fire & Ice Soccer Club, winning the championship in 2017. With mentors in the game encouraging her to continue, Sidney signed a contract in Australia and has been playing pro there ever since. After being a four-year starter at Arkansas-Little Rock, he set his sights on coaching through the college D1 level and attained his B-license. Head Coach at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Derek has been leading the Women’s team since 2008. But, she’d eventually find a team, proceed to play competitively, and TWICE win the National Women’s Over-30 division of the USSF Open Cup, coached by her mentor, Bob Kehoe, SLU and USMNT. Like so many in soccer, Debbie did the grind - educating students at STL’s Ritenour, while getting her Coaching A license, and building the winning program at Lindenwood University (that started with “Help Wanted” signs looking for players) - she earned NAIA “Coach of the Year” and was honored in LU’s very first Sports Hall of Fame inductee class.

Thole is STILL Mizzou's career record holder for points (151) and goals (61), and was the first soccer player inducted into MU's Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame. Known by peers as a WAY-too-humble, gifted, hard-working athlete, Nikki talks the soccer journey with her parents supporting her all the way to professional ball in England.
