Kelsey Nicole: The Danza Project S2 EP01

You have yet to see this side of Kelsey Nicole. In her first sit-down interview since Tory Lanez’s trial, Kelsey Nicole gets real about what happened on that fateful night that captured the world’s attention and led to the fallout between her and her former best friend Megan Thee Stallion. First, Kelsey provides a glimpse into her background, from small-town Texas, where she developed her hustler instincts. Raised by a single mother with two sisters, she naturally assumed a maternal role, which shaped her grind. However, it was her dad that ultimately introduced her to the entertainment industry. As a rapper himself, Kelsey began going from Victoria, TX, to Houston, where she began getting deeply engrained in the rap game and, ultimately, launching K Management. After her father passed away, she looked at her tenure in hip-hop as a means of carrying his legacy. Though music took her to Houston, Kelsey actually became acquainted with Megan Thee Stallion during a summer course at Prairie View A&M University. The two bonded with one another, developing a relationship that would take them to the heights of success and unveil the ugly side of fame. Kelsey first heard Megan Thee Stallion freestyling at a kickback in college, when she was blown away. With the musical background she inherited from her father, Kelsey Nicole recorded Megan Thee Stallion and uploaded the video to YouTube, marking the beginning of a volatile journey. On a technicality, Kelsey Nicole found Megan Thee Stallion, a fact that even the rapper’s late mother thanked her for. Despite their chemistry, things ultimately took a turn for the worse in July 2020. In an episode of alcohol and betrayal, Megan Thee Stallion was left with bullet shrapnel after a gun went off. Whether Megan was actually shot or not remains a contentious point, one that rappers like Drake and Nicki Minaj have turned into a punchline. However, in the midst of Tory Lanez’s trial, Kelsey Nicole became a vital witness in the case, and her testimony undoubtedly played a significant role in how the case played out. In the aftermath of the shooting, we’ve seen Kelsey Nicole release a diss track, “Bussin Back,” in response to the fallout she had with Megan Thee Stallion. Loyalty undoubtedly plays a role in thriving in this industry, though Bonds has experienced how that can be the crux of success in this business. Bonds joined us for the latest episode of The Danza Project for a no-holds-bars interview. As the questions surrounding Diddy continue to pile on, Bonds provides an eye-opening insight into who the mogul really is. Bonds dishes on his experiences working with Diddy from 2003-2012, divulging details surrounding what was going on behind the scenes at Bad Boy and the downfall of his relationship with the hip-hop billionaire.
