The meat this week is Elsie's birth story! Rach and Josh relive the 28-hour marathon experience of welcoming their daughter into the world. Spoiler: absolutely nothing went to plan. The induction was truly tested Rach's sanity, but it was absolutely all worth it in the end. There was no part of her birth plan that actually happened, so shout out to her doula Christy for keeping the ship afloat. Toward the end of the episode we get into some questions you submitted about parenthood and the past 3 weeks that have been a total whirlwind. We get into our mental health, bodily functions, how we've navigated parenthood as partners, and much more.

The girls reflect on their 2014 NYE from Hell, introduce Rach's former nemesis, "Frank", and have a lot of laughs before they get into talking about the growth their relationship has taken within the last year after a real 5 year STRUGGLE. Inflation... egg costs are on the RISE, and Rach goes on quite a long egg-rant #egggirlsriseup?? Abortion bans, War in Ukraine, and a bunch of other bullshit really helps solidify that 2022 was not all it was cracked up to be. Rach gives her pop culture predictions for 2023 (is she becoming more relevant??) Some of them *might* be manifesting... we ALL need a new Olivia Rodrigo album in 2023, okay?! Jess brings us home with some of her hopes for this year, and positive changes she wants to make. Rach... well she's just hoping to survive in her first year of motherhood. Overall this is a pretty lighthearted episode that will hopefully put you in the right mood to make 2023 a wonderful year for CHANGE.

Our topic this week is a heavy one, and one we want everyone to approach cautiously and when you are in the right headspace - your mental health is the most important! This episode is really long, but is filled with honest conversations specifically regarding losing loved ones to suicide. Meg tells the story of losing her best friend, her heartache with that, and the wisdom she is able to provide is truly unmatched. Rach opens up about her struggles with self-harm, suicide and depression. And Jess shares some heartbreaking news that happened in her family over our break between season 1 and 2. There are plenty of tears shed this episode, so make sure you are in a safe space to listen and absorb.
