<title>Kaitlyn Conley: The Poisoning of Mary Yoder</title>
<description>A respected chiropractor dies from a rare poison. Her son's former girlfriend is convicted. Then, after seven years behind bars, the conviction is overturned.

In July 2015, sixty-year-old Mary Yoder became violently ill while working at her chiropractic practice in Whitesboro, New York. Days later, she was dead. Toxicology tests revealed a shocking cause: colchicine poisoning.

Investigators eventually focused on Kaitlyn Conley, a former employee who had dated Mary's son, Adam Yoder. An anonymous letter, a bottle of colchicine discovered in Adam's vehicle, suspicious purchase records and digital evidence would form the basis of a prosecution that divided opinion.

Kaitlyn's first trial ended with a hung jury. Her second ended in a conviction for first-degree manslaughter and a twenty-three-year prison sentence.

But Kaitlyn maintained her innocence.

In 2024, the documentary&amp;nbsp;Little Miss Innocent: Passion. Poison. Prison.&amp;nbsp;brought renewed attention to the case. Then, in January 2025, an appellate court overturned Kaitlyn's conviction over serious failures involving the search of her phone and her legal representation. She was released the following month.

In this six-chapter investigation, True Crime Now examines Mary's death, the evidence against Kaitlyn, both trials, the documentary and the legal ruling that changed everything.

Was justice served, or does the poisoning of Mary Yoder remain an unresolved mystery?

<title>Dorothy Lou Thompson: The Pet Cemetery Murders | Halloween Special Episode </title>
<description>A cemetery with a troubled past. A murder that went unsolved for decades. And witnesses who claimed the dead had returned.

On May 2nd, 1985, the body of sixty-one-year-old Dorothy Lou Thompson was discovered in the Mississippi River in Louisiana, bound with chains.

Dorothy owned a pet cemetery outside New Orleans, where a bitter dispute over the ownership of the land had been unfolding. Investigators identified a suspect, but without sufficient evidence, the case went cold.

Then, twenty-four years later, a witness came forward with an extraordinary claim. He said he knew who had killed Dorothy. And he believed her ghost had been haunting him.

In 2012, another witness emerged, claiming to have seen the murder take place.

In this four-chapter Halloween Special,&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;examines Dorothy's troubled past, the battle for her cemetery, the investigation that remained unresolved for nearly thirty years, and the disturbing accounts that eventually helped bring a killer to justice.

Did Dorothy's ghost help solve her own murder? Or did guilt and fear finally persuade the living to speak?

      <title>Natalee Holloway: The Confession</title>
<description>Eighteen years of unanswered questions. One shocking confession.

On May 30th, 2005, eighteen-year-old Natalee Holloway vanished during a high school graduation trip to Aruba.

Last seen leaving a nightclub with three young men, Natalee never returned to her hotel. Her disappearance sparked an international investigation, a desperate search by her family, and years of conflicting accounts from the man at the centre of the case: Joran van der Sloot.

Then, five years later, another young woman, Stephany Flores Ramírez, was murdered in Peru.

In October 2023, after eighteen years of uncertainty, van der Sloot finally confessed to killing Natalee. But the confession came through an extraordinary legal agreement, and Natalee's remains have never been recovered.

In this four-chapter investigation,&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;examines Natalee's final night in Aruba, the investigation that struggled to find answers, the murder of Stephany Flores, and the confession that changed everything.

The truth was finally spoken. But would Natalee ever be brought home?

<title>Sherri Papini: The Kidnapping That Never Happened</title>
<description>Twenty-two days missing. A miraculous return. And a lie that shocked America.

On November 2nd, 2016, thirty-four-year-old mother of two Sherri Papini vanished while jogging near her home in Redding, California.

Three weeks later, she reappeared on Thanksgiving morning, injured and restrained, claiming she had escaped from two women who kidnapped and tortured her.

America believed she had survived a terrifying ordeal.

But the kidnapping never happened.

In this gripping investigation,&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;uncovers the extraordinary deception that captivated a nation, the DNA evidence that exposed the truth, and the former boyfriend who held the key to Sherri's mysterious disappearance.

How did she fool investigators for years? Why did she fabricate such an elaborate story? And what was the devastating cost to her family, her community and the innocent people placed under suspicion?

Sherri Papini: The Kidnapping That Never Happened&amp;nbsp;— a four-chapter special investigation from True Crime Now.

<title>JonBenét Ramsey: The Christmas Murder | Part One</title>
<description>Christmas morning, 1996. A ransom note. A missing six-year-old girl. And a murder that would haunt America for thirty years.

On 26 December 1996, Patsy Ramsey discovered a three-page ransom note inside her family's home in Boulder, Colorado.

Her daughter, six-year-old&amp;nbsp;JonBenét Ramsey, was missing.

The note demanded precisely $118,000 for her safe return.

But hours later, JonBenét's father discovered her body in the basement of the family home.

What followed became one of the most controversial murder investigations in American history.

A compromised crime scene. A mysterious ransom note. Disputed forensic evidence. And a family placed under extraordinary public suspicion.

As detectives struggled to establish what had happened, the media frenzy grew. JonBenét's childhood beauty-pageant appearances became international headlines, while competing theories and investigative failures threatened to overshadow the search for her killer.

Nearly thirty years later, no one has been convicted of JonBenét's murder.

In&amp;nbsp;Part One of this special two-part investigation, Erica Voss returns to the events of Christmas 1996, examining the Ramsey family's final hours together, the extraordinary ransom note, the police response and the evidence recovered from the house on 15th Street.

We investigate how early decisions shaped the inquiry, why suspicion fell on the family, and how one child's murder became a global media obsession.

Who wrote the ransom note? What happened inside the Ramsey home? And did crucial investigative mistakes make an already difficult case impossible to solve?

A story of tragedy, unanswered questions and a search for justice that continues three decades later.

In Part Two: Who Killed JonBenét?&amp;nbsp; We examine the disputed DNA evidence, the grand jury's decisions, competing theories and the documentary&amp;nbsp;Casting JonBenet, asking whether modern forensic science could finally help uncover the truth.

<title>Clavicular: The Dark Side of Looksmaxxing</title>
<description>Physical perfection. Viral fame. Extreme transformations. And a criminal case that could change everything.

At just twenty years old, Braden Peters, better known online as&amp;nbsp;Clavicular, became one of the most controversial figures in the looksmaxxing movement.

A world where facial features are measured, bodies are ranked, and the pursuit of physical perfection can become an obsession.

Through provocative livestreams, extreme beauty practices and an increasingly polarising online persona, Peters attracted millions of viewers and fierce criticism.

But in September 2026, the headlines took a far more serious turn.

Peters was charged in Massachusetts with serious criminal offences arising from an alleged encounter in May 2025. He denies wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty. The allegations remain unproven, and the legal proceedings are ongoing.

In this episode of&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now, Erica Voss investigates the rise of Clavicular, the disturbing extremes of looksmaxxing culture, the controversies surrounding his online career and the criminal allegations that have brought him before a court.

We examine the evidence reported so far, the defence's response and the questions that remain unanswered.

Where does self-improvement become obsession? What responsibility comes with online influence? And what happens when a viral personality becomes the subject of a serious criminal investigation?

A story of internet fame, extreme beauty culture and the crucial distinction between public controversy and criminal guilt.

<title>Karen Read: The Murder Trial That Divided America</title>
<description>A Boston police officer found dying in the snow. A girlfriend accused of murder. And a criminal investigation that divided America.

On 29 January 2022, John O'Keefe was discovered unresponsive outside a fellow police officer's home in Canton, Massachusetts.

His girlfriend, Karen Read, was accused of striking him with her SUV and leaving him to die in freezing conditions.

But as the investigation unfolded, disturbing questions emerged.

A shattered taillight. Disputed forensic evidence. Controversial messages from a lead investigator. And allegations of a police cover-up.

Was John O'Keefe the victim of a tragic collision, or had investigators got the story terribly wrong?

In this episode of&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now, Erica Voss examines the evidence, the competing theories, two extraordinary trials and the verdict that stunned America.

In June 2025, Karen Read was acquitted of the charges connected to John's death, but convicted of operating under the influence.

With civil litigation continuing and questions surrounding John's final hours still disputed, the case remains one of America's most controversial true-crime stories.

One death. Two trials. A divided nation. And questions that refuse to disappear.

<title>Bryan Kohberger: The Idaho College Murders</title>
<description>Four university students. One house. A brutal crime that shocked America.

On 13 November 2022, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were murdered inside an off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho.

What followed was a nationwide manhunt, a trail of forensic evidence and the arrest of criminology student Bryan Kohberger.

A mysterious white Hyundai Elantra. DNA recovered from a knife sheath. Phone records. And a surviving roommate's chilling account of a masked stranger inside the house.

In July 2025, Kohberger pleaded guilty to all four murders and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. But why did he target these students? And why is he now challenging his guilty plea?

In this special episode of&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now, Erica Voss investigates the night of the murders, the evidence that led police to Kohberger, the courtroom developments and Netflix's documentary&amp;nbsp; The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare.

On 5 November 2009,&amp;nbsp;Major Nidal Malik Hasan&amp;nbsp;opened fire at&amp;nbsp;Fort Hood, Texas, killing thirteen people and wounding thirty-two others.

The massacre shocked America. But even more disturbing were the questions that followed:&amp;nbsp;Had the warning signs been ignored? Could the attack have been prevented?

In 2013, Hasan was convicted and sentenced to death. Then, in October 2026, President Donald Trump approved his execution by firing squad.

When Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth proposed&amp;nbsp;livestreaming the execution, the announcement sparked national outrage and debate. Trump subsequently cancelled the broadcast, but the execution remained scheduled.

In this four-chapter&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;investigation,&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;examines the Fort Hood massacre, the victims, the missed warnings, Hasan's trial and the extraordinary controversy surrounding his punishment.

Does the death penalty deliver justice? And should America ever broadcast an execution?

<title>Erik and Lyle Menendez: Murder or Survival?</title>
<description>Two wealthy brothers. Two parents brutally murdered in their Beverly Hills mansion. Allegations of years of sexual abuse. And a criminal case that would divide America for more than three decades.

On 20 August 1989, José and Kitty Menendez were shot dead inside their family home in Beverly Hills, California. Their sons, Lyle and Erik Menendez, initially denied responsibility before admitting to the killings.

Prosecutors argued that the brothers had murdered their parents for a multimillion-dollar inheritance. But the defence presented a very different explanation: years of alleged physical, emotional and sexual abuse, and two young men who claimed they genuinely feared for their lives.

What followed became one of the most sensational murder trials in American history. After their first trial ended with deadlocked juries, both brothers were convicted of first-degree murder in 1996 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

In this five-chapter True Crime Now investigation, journalist Erica Voss examines the Menendez family's troubled history, the shocking events of August 1989, the allegations of abuse, the evidence presented in court and the extraordinary trials that captivated the nation.

We also explore how the Netflix series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story reignited worldwide interest in the case, the emergence of additional evidence, and the legal developments that gave the brothers a renewed opportunity for freedom.

Following their resentencing in May 2025, both brothers became eligible for parole. But their applications were denied in August 2025, leaving their future uncertain and the debate about justice, rehabilitation and punishment far from over.

Were Erik and Lyle Menendez calculating killers driven by greed, or did years of alleged abuse leave them believing murder was their only means of survival? Did they receive a fair trial? And after more than three decades behind bars, should they ever be allowed to walk free?

Join us as we separate established facts from disputed allegations in one of America's most controversial true-crime cases.

<title>Charlie Kirk: The Assassination That Shook Trump's America</title>
<description>One gunshot on a university campus. A prominent political activist killed in front of thousands. A nationwide manhunt. And a murder investigation that sent shockwaves through Donald Trump's America.

On 10 September 2025,&amp;nbsp;Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA and one of President&amp;nbsp;Donald Trump's&amp;nbsp;most influential political allies, was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University.

What followed was more than a murder investigation. Kirk's assassination ignited a national debate about political violence, free speech, extremism and the increasingly bitter divisions within American politics.

In this six-chapter&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;investigation, journalist&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;examines Kirk's rise to political prominence, his close relationship with Donald Trump, the events surrounding the fatal shooting and the extraordinary manhunt that followed.

We also explore the arrest of&amp;nbsp;Tyler Robinson, the evidence presented by prosecutors, the alleged motive and the legal battle ahead. Robinson has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and faces the possibility of the death penalty if convicted.

Who was responsible for Charlie Kirk's assassination? What does the evidence reveal about the accused killer? And how did one gunshot shake the foundations of American politics?

Join us as we separate established facts from speculation in one of America's most closely watched criminal cases.

      <title>Russell Brand: The Trial Begins</title>
<description>From controversial comedian to Hollywood star, Russell Brand built a career on pushing boundaries, challenging authority and commanding the spotlight.

Now, one of Britain's most recognisable entertainers is at the centre of a major criminal trial.

Seven charges. Six women. Allegations spanning a decade.

In this episode of&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now, investigative journalist&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;examines the rise of Russell Brand, the allegations that emerged in 2023, the police investigation that followed and the criminal charges that brought him before the courts.

How did one of Britain's biggest celebrities become the focus of such a serious investigation? What happens when allegations dating back decades are tested in court? And can a jury look beyond the headlines to reach a fair verdict?

We explore the legal process, the challenges of historical allegations and the intense public scrutiny surrounding a case that has divided opinion.

Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to all seven charges and is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.&amp;nbsp; The allegations remain contested, and the outcome will be determined through the criminal justice process.

This is not the end of the story.

As the trial continues, True Crime Now will bring you further coverage in the coming week, examining developments from court and the evidence presented during proceedings.

<title>Luigi Mangione: Murder, Motive and the American Divide</title>
<description>A healthcare executive shot dead on a Manhattan pavement. A nationwide manhunt. And a suspect whose arrest ignited one of America's most controversial criminal cases.

On 4 December 2024,&amp;nbsp;Brian Thompson, the 50-year-old CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot outside a New York City hotel. Five days later, police arrested&amp;nbsp;Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate, inside a McDonald's restaurant in Pennsylvania.

What followed was more than a murder investigation. The case sparked an extraordinary national debate about America's healthcare system, corporate power, public anger and the limits of political protest.

In this six-chapter&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;investigation, journalist&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;examines the shooting, the evidence that led detectives to Mangione, his background, the alleged motive and the remarkable public reaction.

We also explore the legal battles, Mangione's August 2026 federal guilty plea, and the questions surrounding his sentencing and separate New York state prosecution.

What drove Luigi Mangione to target a healthcare executive? And why did one murder divide America so deeply?

Join us as we separate established facts from speculation in a case that continues to make headlines.

<title>Benjamin William Day: The Airbnb Kill Room | The Dexter-Inspired Murder</title>
<description>A rented Airbnb bedroom. Walls covered in plastic sheeting. And a forensic science student with a terrifying plan.

In December 2025, twenty-four-year-old&amp;nbsp;Maria Saceanu&amp;nbsp;was lured to a property in Tividale, West Midlands, where she was brutally murdered by&amp;nbsp;Benjamin William Day, a nineteen-year-old university student whose preparations bore disturbing similarities to the television series&amp;nbsp;Dexter.

But Day's carefully planned crime began to unravel when an injury to his own hand led to an extraordinary encounter with police.

In this gripping&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;investigation, journalist&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;examines the chilling preparations, the forensic evidence, the bizarre explanation Day gave officers, and his dramatic guilty plea at Wolverhampton Crown Court in October 2026.

How did a student of forensic science believe he could commit the perfect murder — and what finally exposed him?

With sentencing scheduled for December 2026, we will return to this case as further developments emerge.

<title>Rex Heuermann: The Secrets of Gilgo Beach | Part One</title>
<description>In December 2010, the discovery of human remains along a remote stretch of Ocean Parkway in Long Island, New York, exposed one of America's most disturbing serial murder investigations.

For more than a decade, the&amp;nbsp;Gilgo Beach murders&amp;nbsp;remained unsolved. Families demanded answers, investigators followed countless leads, and the identity of the suspected Long Island Serial Killer remained a mystery.

Then, in July 2023, police arrested&amp;nbsp;Rex Heuermann, a Manhattan architect and father living just miles from where the victims were discovered.

In Part One of this&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;investigation, journalist&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss&amp;nbsp;examines the victims, the disappearances, the police investigation and the forensic evidence that finally led detectives to Heuermann.

How did a suspected serial killer remain undetected for so long?

<itunes:summary>At nineteen, Elizabeth Holmes dropped out of Stanford University with a promise to revolutionise medicine.

Her company, Theranos, claimed it could perform a wide range of medical tests using just a few drops of blood. Investors poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the business, and Holmes became one of Silicon Valley's most celebrated entrepreneurs.

But behind the billion-dollar valuation, serious questions were emerging about the technology, the accuracy of its results and what Holmes knew.

In this five-chapter investigation,&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;examines the extraordinary rise and collapse of Theranos, the whistleblowers who exposed its problems, and the criminal trial that sent Elizabeth Holmes to prison.

Plus, an exclusive bonus chapter&amp;nbsp;exploring A24's upcoming documentary&amp;nbsp; You Can See Everything, and what it could reveal about the woman behind one of Silicon Valley's most notorious fraud scandals.

How did a promise to transform healthcare become a billion-dollar deception?

      <title>Lindsay Clancy: A Question of Criminal Responsibility</title>
<description>On 24 January 2023, three young children were found with fatal injuries inside their family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Their mother, Lindsay Clancy, was charged with their murders. But as the investigation unfolded, disturbing questions emerged about her mental health, the psychiatric treatment she had received, and whether she could be held criminally responsible.

In this seven-chapter investigation,&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now&amp;nbsp;examines the events leading up to the tragedy, the evidence presented in court, and the conflicting medical opinions that divided a jury.

With the first trial ending in a mistrial, the case remains unresolved.

Was this a deliberate crime, or the consequence of a severe psychiatric illness?

<title>Lucy Letby: Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt?</title>
<description>Between 2015 and 2016, a series of unexpected deaths and sudden collapses occurred on the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Years later, former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others.

The convictions became one of the most widely discussed criminal cases in modern British history. Yet the questions surrounding the evidence, the investigation and the hospital's response have continued long after the trials concluded.

In this episode of&amp;nbsp;True Crime Now, we examine the events that led to Letby's arrest, the evidence presented by the prosecution, the challenges raised by medical and scientific experts, and the concerns about hospital management and safeguarding examined by the Thirlwall Inquiry.

What did hospital staff know, and when? How did the prosecution establish its case? And why do questions about the convictions continue to attract public and professional scrutiny?

Presented by investigative journalist&amp;nbsp;Erica Voss, this documentary offers a measured examination of the case, its legal complexities and the people whose lives have been permanently affected.

Content warning:&amp;nbsp; This episode contains discussion of infant deaths, serious medical harm and murder.
