<title>Brain Inflammation: The Warning Signs Most People Ignore | Dr Datis Kharrazian</title>
<description>What if brain fog, poor concentration or feeling mentally “slower” isn’t simply a normal part of getting older?

In this episode, Julia is joined by Dr Datis Kharrazian to look at the fascinating world of brain inflammation... what causes it, how it can affect memory, mood, balance and cognitive function, and the warning signs many of us may be overlooking.

They talk about everything from previous head injuries and poor sleep to blood sugar, muscle mass, environmental toxins and the air inside our own homes. Dr Datis also explains why movement is so important for protecting the brain, why protein matters as we age, and some of the everyday lifestyle changes that may help reduce inflammation and support long-term brain health.

This conversation was recorded at the Integrative &amp; Personalised Medicine Congress in London.

<title>Sugar Is Ageing You | Dr Robert Lustig</title>
<description>How much sugar are we really consuming, and what might it be doing inside our bodies long before illness appears?

In this episode, Julia is joined by Doctor and Professor Robert Lustig, one of the world’s most outspoken voices on sugar and metabolic health.

Robert explains why he believes we have focused too heavily on calories and body weight while overlooking the way different foods are processed by the body. Plus, the difference between glucose and fructose, why whole fruit and fruit juice can affect us differently, insulin, blood pressure, ultra-processed food, artificial sweeteners and why sugary drinks are the first thing Robert would remove from our diets.

<title>Could Persistent Reflux Lead to Cancer? | Dr Monisha Bhanote</title>
<description>What if looking after ourselves began with looking after our cells?

In the first episode of The Julia Bradbury Podcast, Julia sits down with Dr Monisha Bhanote, a physician, cytopathologist and “cell detective”, to talk about what may be happening inside the body long before illness makes itself known.

Dr Bhanote shares how pathologists examine cells for signs of disease, why different forms of cancer require different approaches, and how persistent acid reflux can sometimes lead to changes in the lining of the oesophagus. She also tells the extraordinary story of being struck on the head by a golf ball travelling at around 150mph!

The Julia Bradbury Podcast was recorded at the Integrative &amp; Personalised Medicine Congress and is in partnership with Randox Health.
