How Predators Turned Him Into a Violent Criminal | Glodi Wabelua

Can a convicted human trafficker also be a victim of the system? In this gripping episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Glodi for an exclusive long-form interview tracking his journey from a vulnerable 14-year-old run-away to a landmark Modern Slavery Act conviction.

At just 14 years old, facing extreme isolation and homelessness, Glodi was targeted and recruited by an organized criminal network into the dangerous world of UK County Lines drug dealing. Shipped away from London to a stash house in Hastings, his search for safety quickly devolved into a cycle of brutal violence, narrow escapes, and severe institutionalization.

From surviving a near-fatal knife ambush in Portsmouth that left him permanently scarred, to being woken up by a morning police raid facing unprecedented human trafficking charges under the Modern Slavery Act, Glodi shares the unfiltered reality of a life behind bars.

Now a personal trainer, podcaster, and youth mentor, Glodi breaks his silence to pull back the curtain on the trauma of prison, the reality of living with severe PTSD and anxiety, and why he is desperate to stop the next generation of vulnerable young boys from glorifying street life.

Killer Of My Four Children Could Be Released

What happens when a controlling partner cuts off all contact and completely vanishes with your children? In this devastating episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Michael Tranter, a grieving father breaking his silence for the first time in a long-form video interview to uncover the dark reality behind one of Britain's most shocking family massacres.

In 1995, Michael arrived at his ex-partner Lesley’s house for a weekend visit, only to discover she and his four young children: Sarah Jane, Anne Marie, Stephen Paul, and Craig Jonathan; had vanished overnight without a trace. In an era before social media and mobile phones, they completely fell off the face of the earth. For five agonizing years, Michael frantically searched for his kids, unaware that Lesley had remarried a highly manipulative, controlling man named Lee Ford.

The horrifying truth finally unraveled in October 2000. Following a missing person's report, a grim police forensic search exposed a monstrous crime hidden on a Cornwall property. Lee Ford had brutally murdered his wife and systematically drugged and strangled his four stepchildren, hiding their bodies under a pile of logs in a woodshed and buried deep inside a potato field.

Now, with Lee Ford approaching parole eligibility and the very real threat of him walking free, Michael shares his ongoing torment, the catastrophic failures of social services safeguarding, and the public petition fighting to keep an evil predator behind bars for life.

Every Parent's Worst Nightmare

Imagine your child stepping outside for a pizza and never returning. In this heartbreaking episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Nikki Knight, mother of 15-year-old Mason Rist, for her first long-form video interview exposing the reality behind the brutal Bristol double murder that shocked the nation.

On Saturday 27th January 2024, an ordinary night in South Bristol turned into an absolute nightmare. After leaving a gaming session at a mates house to walk down the road for food with his friend Max Dixon, 15 year old Mason was ambushed in a horrific case of mistaken identity. Captured entirely on a home security system, a group of teenage attackers wielding banned zombie killer knives and machetes ended two young lives in just 33 seconds.

The frantic police investigation quickly tracked the Audi Q2 getaway car, leading to the arrest of 45 year old driver Anthony Snook and four local teenagers from a rival neighborhood.

Now, months after the trial concluded with life sentences and historic convictions, Nikki breaks her silence. She opens up about the trauma of facing the court, the severe lack of social services safeguarding, and the ongoing torment of watching the killers shamelessly brag and post rap videos from inside their prison cells.Nicki has set up a charity in Mason’s name to support young people who need help. You can find information of the trust here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1329117404794585

Britain's Most Evil Dad: "Mask Slipped And Monster Came Out"

Claire Throssell’s story is one of unimaginable loss, survival and a fight for change.

In this episode of Key Witness Aftermath, Daisy Maskell talks with Claire Throssell, the mother of Jack and Paul Sykes, to discuss the abuse she suffered during her marriage to Darren Sykes, the warning signs that were missed, the failures she says took place within the family court system, and the devastating events of October 2014.

Claire speaks about the years of coercive control and domestic abuse, the moment she left the family home to protect her children, and the court decision that allowed unsupervised contact with their father. She also shares what happened on the day of the fire, the bravery of her sons Jack and Paul, and how their legacy has driven her campaign to change the law around parental involvement and child safety.

This is a difficult but important conversation about domestic abuse, family court, unsafe contact, coercive control, familicide, grief, justice and the long aftermath that continues once the headlines fade.

Key Witness Aftermath is a true crime interview series exploring the human stories behind real cases, told through the voices of those closest to them.

Blackpool Guest House Murder: Sasha's Sister Breaks Silence

What happens when a teenage girl vanishes on her first day of work? In this profound episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Gemma - the sister of 16-year-old Sasha Marsden - who shares details of the horrifying Blackpool guest house murder that shook the UK.

On 31 January 2013, 16-year-old childcare student Sasha Marsden arrived at a seafront guest house in Blackpool for her first shift as a cleaner. When her parents pulled up to collect her at the end of the day, she was gone. Her employer claimed she had already left - but the devastating truth was unfolding in a narrow alleyway nearby, where a burning body was discovered hidden in plain sight.

What followed was a frantic police investigation that traced Facebook messages to 23-year-old caretaker David "Demon" Minto. After a forensic sweep exposed a massive cleanup job using luminol, investigators uncovered a chilling web of lies, missing evidence, and a blunted kitchen knife that finally nailed a predator.

Ten years later, Gemma breaks her silence to talk about the trauma of the trial, the failures of the justice system in protecting young women, and the solemn promise she made at her little sister's graveside.

Libby Squire Murder Case: What Headlines Didn't Tell You

What would you say to the person who took your daughter's life? In this exclusive sit down, Lisa Squire, mother of Libby Squire, shares the heart-shattering reality of the crime that shook the UK, and reads a letter she wrote to killer Pawel Relowicz.

On 31 January 2019, 21 year old philosophy student Libby Squire disappeared after a night out in Hull. What followed was one of the largest missing person searches in Humberside Police history, ending in the devastating discovery of Libby’s body in the Humber Estuary weeks later.
In this episode, Daisy Maskell sits down with Lisa Squire for an intimate conversation about grief, justice, and the fight for change. Lisa talks us through the harrowing timeline of Libby’s disappearance, the investigation into serial sex offender Pawel Relowicz, and the shocking gaps in the legal system regarding non-contact sexual offences.
The most powerful moment comes as Lisa reads out the private letter she wrote to Libby’s killer. An emotional address that has never been shared with the public until now.

Compassionate Friends are a wonderful charity that help bereaved parents - https://www.tcf.org.uk/
'It Does Matter' was set up alongside Thames Valley Police as a campaign following Libby’s murder but has now become a charity with Lisa as a trustee - https://www.itdoesmatter.org.uk/
