Adam’s been busy hunting down all the League Cups and Challenges in his area and reports back on the results. Somehow someway Adam finds a never before seen Delibird card (no really!) and it came all the way from Peru!

We finish the show with the craze that every New Zealander has been talking about, Pokemon TCG Pocket! Justin and Lane give a full depth review about the ins and outs of the game and their experience with the app. Very promising start for Pocket and we can’t wait to see where it goes. Not everyone is happy about it though as Adam Mcgrumpypants tries to rain on their parade and just wants to play real cards and TCG live.

70,000 trainers descend upon Gotham (NYC) and they’re all there to see Adam. Ok maybe that’s a bit of a stretch but Adam was a notable trainer at Go Fest NYC and we discuss how it went! There was a podcast meetup for the New York state of Grind. While in New York, Adam and Justin got to play in person Pokemon TCG matches! Chien Pao vs United Wings, what could go wrong?

New York was full of surprises as Adam got the Lorcana starter decks early from the Times Square Disney store! The early days of Lorcana are reminding us of the Pokemon Card shortage craze of 2021. 

We go on a tangent about card quality and comparing Darkness Ablaze to Obsidian Flames. Are the cards more flimsy or are they more sturdy? Printing quality seems to be all over the place. 

Path to the Peak is a MUST WATCH show for trainers of all ages. Young kids will enjoy the animation style and action in the show. Adults will appreciate the nostalgic references throughout. We discussed what we enjoyed about the first 2 episodes.

IRON BUNDLE IS REVEALED. Will Iron Bundle (future robot version of Delibird) take over the meta as we know it?? Pokemon World’s in Japan revealed a new mechanic (future vs ancient) and an old mechanic (Ace Spec). We speculate how this mechanic will be similar to battle styles from the 2021 sets. 

Iron Bundle wasn’t the only broken card revealed. Scream Tail (ancient jigglypuff) looks to add even more firepower to Gardevoir. Roaring Moon ex (ancient Salamence) has 2 broken attacks and hits for relevant weakness. The illustration rares continue in this upcoming Paradox Rift set with absolutely beautiful cards. Iron Valiant ex (future Gallade) has a crazy ability. 

Adam takes us in the way back machine to discuss Ace Spec cards back in the day and how they were played. We review them and speculate on what the new versions will look like. 

Detective Pikachu Returns! There’s a new Pokemon game on the horizon and Justin really wants that promo card. Will there be another special set dedicated to Detective Pikachu?

Finally we end on the Pokemon World’s tournament results. We both lost sleep watching this tournament at weird hours of the day. We dive into the meta and are surprised how Mew was able to pull it off. Adam is excited about Andrew Mahone’s Miraidon list that placed in top 32. Next stop for World’s 2024 is Hawaii!
