Tom and Pat are joined again by Seve Kukielka to talk about his impressive current run of tournaments as well as his course (Gloucester Aces) hosting the upcoming World Adventure Golf Tour Final. Seve talks a bit about what hosting an event of this size means and some of what the locals are looking forward to doing with an international crowd in town. They also get into how he has been able to keep a high level of play the past few years, as well as his experiences on a variety of minigolf surfaces.

After that our hosts discuss a few of the international trips they have on their calendar for 2026 as they continue to try to grow their reach into different aspects of the sport worldwide.

#101 - 2025 AMA Season Wrap-Up with the AMA Players Meeting

Tom and Pat, along with AMA organizers Bryan Akers, Mick Cullen and Kyle Cutshaw, hosted a virtual players meeting for AMA members on December 3, 2025. This episode is the audio version of that call.

The players meeting covered a variety of topics, first acknowledging the overall Top 10 and then all of the regional Top 10s. There was a dive into a variety of other successes talked about during the meeting including women and juniors, consistent podium finishes, all of the AMA winners and recognizing the individuals who went overseas for the World Adventure Golf Tour Final and the World Adventure Golf Masters. Before heading to some Q&A, they turned their attention to the upcoming 2026 season and the majority of already confirmed events. Tom and Pat managed to wrangle two of the most infamous names in UK minigolf, though we use the term "wrangle" loosely. Ted "Big Top" McIver and Tim "Ace Man" Davies have been around the world of minigolf for 25+ years and collaborated on the seminal tome "Nutters with Putters". We somehow managed to get them to talk about their history, their views on some courses in the UK, the current state of UK minigolf and drop some hints for coming attractions. This was all intertwined with a plethora of stories from the past and bickering about details the way only two long-time friends can do. What we didn't know is that they hadn't talked to each other in 10 years! There's plenty more surprises dropped like that throughout the interview and we hope to have these two blokes on again sometime.

Tom & Pat grind their way through recaps of an assortment of tournaments happening around the world at the end of August and as we head into September. Then they take some time to talk with Kyle Cutshaw, owner of Mossy Creek Mini Golf and the tournament director of the Tennessee Open as well as many other tournaments at the course. Kyle provides some insight on how they developed a competitive minigolf community in Jefferson City, TN and how that grew into hosting events like the USPMGA U.S.Open and the largest field ever for the TN Open in 2024. Then they recap the event and some of surprising storylines that came out of it.

Marc recently won the World Crazy Golf Championship marking his 4th win of this tournament since 2018. A Big World Adventure Golf Masters Review and other tournaments across the world

Tom and Pat are back in the "studio" remembering how to podcast after catching up on sleep from the World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM). They dive deep into WAGM (4:15) giving a quick overview of the tournament in total and then talking about Tom's experience as a rookie there. This leads to all sorts of discussion about the international style of play at these tournaments and where they see ways the US game can improve and grow at that level.

It was then time to touch on the results of a handful of recent events like the World Crazy Golf Championship (57:50), the AMA 1st Rosebud Open {1:03:30}, the AMA Salty Seagull tournament (1:05:52), the PPA National Invitational (1:08:05) and a recent Putting World event (1:10:03). They find their way again by the end of the episode to wrap up looking at some upcoming events in June/July (1:11:00). This episode may have gotten wondering at times but there was a lot going on since they chatted last!

Interview with Dave Vayda & Caleb Smith + WAG Tour Final, AMA Events and more!

Tom and Pat kick off the show with a look at the WMF's World Adventure Golf (WAG) Tour final, which sets the stage for our interviewees (3:50). With the AMA (and minigolf in general) season now in full gear they looked at two recent tournaments in NJ and MN (15:24) and then ran through a bunch of US and international results (28:15).

After all the updates, it was time to bring on Dave Vayda and Caleb Smith from Connecticut who made the WAG Tour final based on their placement in the Matterhorn International Pro-Am in 2023 (36:50). Pat has been working with both as they prepped for the final and the interview was just after they returned form the Czech Republic. For both, it was their first international competition. They chatted about the difficulty of the tournament, the amazing atmosphere around the tournament by players and organizers and just the overall experience of the trip.

2023: A Massive Year of Minigolf

2023 AMA Player's Meeting Live Recording

We had a Q & A section and at the top of the episode, Tom explains what we included from that session. There were a lot of specific questions about the details of an upcoming tournament in January that didn't feel as relevant to a larger audience as the other some of the other broader questions about the AMA. Red Hot Minigolf August - Part 1

Our hosts start off looking at two AMA events that both happened the first weekend of August with the Red Putter in Wisconsin and the Maine Open at Tabers in Maine. From there it's a trip over (again) to Uppsala, Sweden and a lengthy discussion of the 2023 Minigolf World Championships General Class given Pat's time over there in the run up to the tournament. That discussion covers a lot about the differences between international championships at the highest level and what we might be used to in the US for tournaments. Finally, the guys come back to the States to cover the PPA National Championships and the most recent big money Putting World event. That's where it was wrapped up for Part 1.

Interview With Three Time WPL Champ Joey Graybeal

We were live (again)! Tom and Pat went back to the virtual airwaves of Facebook live on July 26, 2023 for this episode to finally have their friend Joey Graybeal on the podcast. At the time of recording he was coming off a third straight World Putting League (WPL) victory, this time a straight up match against the first WPL victor Gary Hester. They chat about the WPL, Joey's history with minigolf and Putt-Putt, his achievements (so many!) in those sports and a few things about how he approachs tournaments. Joey also has a lot of great stories and love of his fellow putters that he shares throughout the episode.

After their chat with Joey, the guys hit on a couple of recent tournaments including the WMF WAG Tour stop in the UK (the British Open) and give another rundown of the pile of tournaments coming up in August.

A Whole Lot of Burning (Hot) Minigolf Tournaments!

Our hosts kick off the episode looking at the recent World Putting League events and the heat thrown by Joey Greybeal in that series currently. Summer Spectacular Live w/ Vanette Block of Team USA

We are live (or we were at least)! Tom and Pat took to the virtual airwaves of Facebook live for this episode to chat about a slew of major events happening in June. They were joined by Team USA's own (and World Champion) Vanette Block who just landed from her trip to the World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM) in Austria. They spent a lot of time discussing that tournament, the style of play and the comraderie these international events have. Vanette stays on to also chat with Tom about his trip to the World Crazy Golf Championship (Crazies), which we had previewed in the last episode with our guest Seve.

They take a short interlude to talk about the recent Odetah Mini Golf (OMG) Classic in Connecticut along with a special appearance by Pat as a whale. Then the team wraps the episode up talking about the World Putting League's third event happening in Myrtle Beach on June 26th. Finally, Tom fires his way through a bunch of other events, most of which he will be playing, in late June and early July including the AMA events the M.C. Mini Masters and Putter League Championship.

It's a long episode but with so many wonderful tournaments to talk about it is hard not to be excited and chatty about the summer in the minigolf world!

Hot Minigolf Spring - Tournaments from Around the US and a Report from Sweden

This episode is jam-packed with tournament talk from the jump! They kick it off with some 4/20 putting and digging into the 2nd World Putting League event which they teased on the previous episode. They stayed in Myrtle Beach to talk about the U.S. Open but then slid over to Texas to discuss the newest AMA event, the Texas Minigolf Championship. Pat then listened on with a little bit of minigolf jealousy as Tom talked about his recent trip to Sweden which concluded with him playing the first event of the 2023 CityGolf tour. So You Want to Organize a Mini Golf Tournament? Tips, tricks and more

Before talking about organizing, the guys recap many moving parts in the competitive putting world. They chatted briefly about the new WMF World Adventure Golf Tour, which you can find more about in their recent live broadcast. Sticking with some worldwide putting, they looked at the make-up of Team USA and threw down a fundraising challenge to the USPMGA. Later in the episode they'd talk about what they know, or don't know, about the upcoming World Putting League event on April 20th but before that it was some AMA talk with changing dates of one tournament and adding the Texas Minigolf Championship at Longview Greens to the slate for April.

Teeing off with the 2023 AMA Schedule!

Then it is onto our discussion with Olivia Prokopová, one of the greats of the US putting world. The last time they had chatted with her was right after her winning the USPMGA Master's for the 4th time, tying her for the most Master's tournaments won. When you combine that with 5 US Opens and no one has a better winning percentage in the 25+ years of USPMGA major tournaments. We talk about a variety of topics with her, from her favorite courses to play, how she approaches minigolf when "off the clock", things she'd like to see for professional miniature golf in the future and some of her remaining goals for tournaments. We also end up with some serious talk about a period in her career that presented some challenges and having to overcome them.

2022 USPMGA Master's Recap

For the second year in a row, our hosts had the chance to participate in the USPMGA Master's held in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, SC. The tournament was October 6-8, 2022. They talk about their experiences playing the 3 courses (Island course at Aloha South, Pineapple course at Aloha North and Hawaiian Rumble), how they played overall and the overall standings (including how they fared after 12 rounds). They also spent a good amount of time looking at the positives to come out of the tournament this year (relationships, course condition, etc) as well as some constructive critizism on where they think the tournament can elevate it's game (more information needed, rules clarity, etc).

2022 AMA Season Recap - An AMAzing year!

After 9 tournaments over nearly 9 months of competitive putting, the first American Minigolf Alliance (AMA) season comes to an end and Tom and Pat celebrate the success of the season. Before that, though, they recap the slate of 4 September AMA tournaments that ranged from Maine to Connecticut to Missouri to Minnesota. Those tournaments created some great drama and the season winner came down to the final two - Matterhorn International Pro-Am and the Miniest Mini Golf Open.

It all culminated in Mick Cullen taking the top prize after a 1st at the Miniest Mini Golf Open and a 2nd at the M.C. Mini Masters. He was able to squeak ahead of Justin Seymour and Matt Liles who put on some great putting clinics in the Northeast this year and share 2nd place to round out the podium. Pat & Tom cover the whole top 15 as well as looking at some stats over membership and participant levels, as well as looking at their own performances within the AMA.

Tom and Pat kick off the episode with some great news - Holey Moley Season 5 (7:00) is now casting and it looks like they will be filming internationally! That's great news for our future podcasting prostpects and exciting news for TV in general. Month of Mini Golf Competition | August 2022 Tournament Recaps

Tom and Pat deep dive into the results of four popular US tournaments that happened in August: The Red Putter, Maine Open, O-Street $1,000 and Farmington Miniature Golf. Between them, they putted in 3 of the 4 (Maine being the only exception) and talked about not only thier personal accomplishments but the success of the tournaments as a whole. They gushed over the variety of styles seen in the courses and the tournament formats. Tom even begrudingly gave Pat his due on winning Farmington. Turning Up the Heat | Mini Golf Tournament Talk Summer 2022

Mini Masters (June - Illinois/Wisconsin), the 4th O-Street $1,000 tournament (August - New Jersey), the 6th Matterhorn International Pro-Am (September - Connecticut) and the 3rd Miniest Open (September - Minnesota).

They also discussed the unfortunate postponment of the International Mini Golf Summit in Dripping Springs, TX. They briefly talk about what happened and look forward to the future as well as share a few more thoughts on the fun of the Challenge course.

2021 Mt. Atlanticus Mighty Minotaur Recap

The Master's wasn't the only tournament in Myrtle Beach early in October, our hosts, together Aaron "El Presidente" Kaminkski of O-Street Mini Golf joined forces with the Mt. Atlanticus course to present the first Mighty Minotaur Mini Golf Tournament. It was a qualifying round style tournament with the Top 8 scores playing a final 9 hole dash to the cash.

We knock out the discussion pretty quick with our two guests this episode. We were joined by friend of the pod and the tournament winner Mark "The Highlighter" Novicki known best for his colorful choice of clothing as well as his good putting.
