I wish I were one of those cool, calm, collected people who never get bothered, but truthfully, I’ve always been an anxious wreck walking into the exam hall.

Whether you’re about to sit your first exam, final exam, GCSE, A-Level, university exam, or you’re listening back and remembering exactly how it felt, this episode is here to remind you that whatever happens, you are going to be okay.

What Moving Away in My Early Twenties Taught Me About Myself

Returning to London always makes me think of the 22-year-old version of me who moved there with no real plan, no clear sense of who she was, and no idea how life in her twenties was supposed to look. Every time I revisit, I’m reminded of how brave I was back then. How doing the thing that scares you — even when it costs you comfort, certainty, or familiarity — is often the most important step in growing into who you’re meant to be. This chapter of my life taught me that trusting yourself, especially in your twenties, can change everything.

It’s probably no surprise that I quit my old job and ended up doing something totally different. I always said that by month three of unemployment, I’d take anything—and when that time came, working in a café felt like an unexpected but exciting change.

At first, it was just a way to pay rent. But what I didn’t realise was how much this job would shift my entire relationship with stress, work, and self-worth. Six weeks in, I finally feel like I can see a job as just a job—not life or death, not my identity, not the end of the world. I'm learning how to separate who I am from what I achieve. And that’s something I’ve struggled with for a long time.
