I Tested Xbox, PS2, PS3 & Nintendo Emulators on My PS5… Here's What Worked

Sun, 11 Oct 2026 17:00:38 -0000

Can a REAL jailbroken PS5 run original Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games? I decided to find out.

I tested six different PS5 emulators, plus a bonus emulator 🤫, to see how far PlayStation 5 homebrew has actually come.

Some worked surprisingly well. Others were a complete nightmare.

I Tried to Replace My Handheld With a PS5

Fri, 02 Oct 2026 15:34:00 -0000

I left my Switch 2 at home and took a PS5 on a trip instead. The only problem: a PS5 needs power, a screen, and apparently a completely unnecessary 30-second championship to prove itself.

Check out the ARZOPA Z3FC:

🇩🇪 Germany: https://amzn.to/3TSqad2

The Z3FC is a 16-inch 2.5K portable gaming monitor with up to 180Hz refresh rate, 107% sRGB coverage, a 9.3mm-thick design and a weight of around 780g. In this video I use it with the Switch 2, PS5 and PC, test the full 180Hz mode against 60Hz and 144Hz, take the setup travelling, and find out whether replacing a handheld with an entire PS5 was actually a good idea.

The PS4 Just Got Its Biggest Jailbreak in Years

Fri, 25 Sep 2026 15:35:19 -0000

The PS4 just got one of its biggest jailbreak updates in years. Firmware 13.52 is now jailbreakable, opening up homebrew support to a huge new range of PlayStation 4 consoles.

But should you actually update your PS4 to 13.52? And does newer firmware automatically mean a better jailbreak?

If you have an old PS4 sitting around, check your firmware before updating it 👀

NEW APP - NATIVE Xbox Cloud Gaming on Nintendo Switch?! | Green-NX

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:50:00 -0000

Xbox Cloud Gaming is now running through a native homebrew client on the original Nintendo Switch — no Android, no Linux, and no PC or Xbox secretly streaming in the background.

In this video, I test Green-NX, an open-source Xbox Cloud Gaming client built specifically for Nintendo Switch homebrew.

I go through the installation and Microsoft login process, test the available streaming quality settings, check input latency and image quality, compare handheld and docked mode, monitor Switch hardware usage, and test how well it performs during actual gameplay.

Games tested include DOOM: The Dark Ages, Forza Horizon 6, Indiana Jones, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Halo.

IMPORTANT:
Green-NX does NOT run Xbox games locally using the Nintendo Switch hardware. The games are still running remotely through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Green-NX is the native Switch application responsible for authentication, receiving and decoding the video stream, processing controller inputs, audio, and displaying everything through Horizon OS.

For my testing I used:
• Original Nintendo Switch / Switch OLED
• Atmosphère custom firmware
• Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
• Green-NX
• 5 GHz Wi-Fi
• 1080p HQ streaming preset
• No CPU or GPU overclocking

I also tested performance using a mobile hotspot to see how practical Xbox Cloud Gaming can be away from a normal home Wi-Fi connection.

Green-NX is still experimental and unofficial. It is not affiliated with Microsoft or Nintendo. Cloud Gaming availability, supported games, streaming quality, subscriptions, and supported regions can vary depending on your account, location, network connection, and proximity to Microsoft's servers.

Green-NX Official Project:
https://github.com/rmrf404/green-nx

Would you actually use Xbox Cloud Gaming on a modded Nintendo Switch?

GTA V Is Running on Nintendo Switch… This Shouldn’t Exist

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:49:00 -0000

Did you Like what you saw? SUSBCRIBE!!!!!

GTA V is now running natively on the original Nintendo Switch and somehow, it actually works.

This is NOT cloud streaming, Moonlight, or an Android workaround. What you're seeing is an unofficial native GTA V port running directly on Switch hardware.

In this video, I test how well GTA V actually performs on the Switch, push the game with driving, traffic, combat and explosions, explain the technical side of how something like this is even possible, and look at the much more controversial story behind the project.

We’ll also answer the obvious question: if GTA V can run on Nintendo Switch hardware… why did Rockstar never officially release it?

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
This video is made for commentary, criticism, technical analysis and documentary/news purposes. I do not provide or distribute game files, leaked source code, installation instructions, download links, piracy sources, Discord servers, Telegram channels, or directions to obtain unauthorized copies of GTA V.

This is an examination of the project itself how it works, how it performs, and why it is such an unusual moment for the Nintendo Switch homebrew scene.

We Got PS Vita Emulation on Nintendo Switch Before GTA 6

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:49:00 -0000

PS Vita emulation is now running directly on Nintendo Switch with Vita3K-nx — so I tested some of the biggest Vita games to see how good this brand-new emulator actually is.

God of War Collection, Persona 4 Golden, Mortal Kombat, Rayman Legends, Gravity Rush, Killzone Mercenary, Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted: Golden Abyss — some already work shockingly well, while others reminded me VERY quickly that this emulator is still brand new.

This is Vita3K-nx 1.0.0, the experimental Nintendo Switch port by NaGaa95, running natively through Horizon OS.

For these tests I used an OLED Nintendo Switch with:
CPU: 1785 MHz
GPU: 921 MHz
RAM: 1600 MHz

Performance can change massively depending on the game, emulator version, settings, shaders and future updates. Vita3K-nx is still extremely early, so a game crashing in my test does NOT mean it can’t work in another build or setup.

I also couldn’t test every game people requested because some Vita game installs took 30–60 minutes each and I wanted to get this video out while the release was still fresh.

► Vita3K-nx by NaGaa95: https://github.com/NaGaa95/Vita3K-nx/releases/tag/1.0.0
► My FULL Nintendo Switch Emulation Test: https://youtu.be/sYzBKiQZ54E

If you’ve managed to get Uncharted, Killzone or Assassin’s Creed working better, let me know your settings/build in the comments.

And tell me ONE Vita game I absolutely need to test next.

Wii U, PS2 & GameCube on Switch! Emulation Is INSANE

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:49:00 -0000

Nintendo Switch emulation in 2026 is getting absolutely insane. Wii U, GameCube, Wii, PS2, Nintendo DS and even 3DS emulation are now being pushed directly through Horizon OS on the original modded Switch.

In this video we take a look at Cemu-NX, Dolphin-NX, NetherSX2-NX, DraSticDS-NX, Tico/Azahar, NaGaa95's crazy wave of ports and recompilation projects, plus the current reality behind Vita3K-NX and RPCS3-NX.

And yes... people are already experimenting with PS Vita and even PS3 projects on the Switch. But there's a BIG difference between a GitHub repository existing and an emulator actually being ready to use.

What emulator should I properly test next?

I Tested Nintendo Switch Emulation to Its LIMIT... It Got Ridiculous

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:46:00 -0000

UPDATE: Because apparently the emulation scene waits until I finish rendering, a new experimental PS Vita/Vita3K build for Switch appeared literally after I finished this video. I obviously couldn’t fairly test something that didn’t exist when I recorded it so Vita is getting tested separately.
------------------------------------------------

I Tested Nintendo Switch Emulation to Its LIMIT... It Got Ridiculous

I tested Nintendo Switch emulation directly inside Horizon OS to see how far the original Switch can actually go — from SNES, GBA, PSP and Nintendo DS all the way up to 3DS, GameCube, Wii, Wii U and PlayStation 2.

I tested emulators including Tico, DraSticDS-NX, Cemu-NX, Raika/Azahar, Dekopon, Dolphin-NX and NetherSX2-NX, with stock clocks, overclocking and even PS2 frame generation. Some results were way better than I expected… others turned the Switch into a PowerPoint presentation.

Huge respect to the developers behind these projects performance can change massively between games, emulator versions, settings and updates.

Which should I test properly next: PS2, 3DS, or Dolphin-NX vs Tico?

I gave AI one simple challenge:
Build a real Nintendo Switch homebrew application.

No GitHub projects or manually writing the app myself. Just AI, compiler errors, real Nintendo Switch hardware, and whatever happened next.

What started as a simple coding experiment quickly evolved into a multi-agent AI development system capable of writing, reviewing, compiling, debugging, and improving an actual Nintendo Switch application, literally mind blowing stuff.

By the end of this video, AI had built a fully functional homebrew app featuring a graphical interface, file browser, calculator, image previews, file management, and a hidden addon that will be revealed in the video.

People Are Going to Regret Selling These Consoles

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:45:00 -0000

Thinking about selling your old console? You might want to wait.

Console prices are rising, physical games are disappearing, digital stores are closing, and the hardware we already own may become more valuable than we realize.

From PS2, PS3 and PS4 to PS5, Nintendo Switch, 3DS and more this is why old consoles, physical games, backwards compatibility, homebrew and game preservation still matter in 2026.

PS5 Emulation Just Hit a HUGE Milestone

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:44:00 -0000

PS5 Emulation Just Hit a HUGE Milestone

For years, emulating the PlayStation 5 seemed almost impossible. But today, that’s finally starting to change.

In this video, I take a look at the current state of PS5 emulation and test it myself with my own, legally copied PlayStation 5 games. To my surprise, “Dead Cells” launches successfully and is playable, while “Lies of P” gets significantly further into the startup process before crashing during shader compilation.

We’re still a long way from perfect PS5 emulation, but this is one of the biggest milestones we’ve seen so far. Let’s take a look at what works, what doesn’t, and why this is such an exciting moment for game preservation and emulator development.

💙 If you enjoyed the video, don’t forget to hit “Like” and subscribe to the channel for more content on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and homebrew!

⚠️ Disclaimer: This video is for educational and informational purposes only. The gameplay shown was tested using my own legally purchased and dumped PlayStation 5 games. I do not condone piracy or the illegal distribution of copyrighted content.

I Tried to Beat Elden Ring Before My Switch 2 Died

Wed, 23 Sep 2026 22:41:00 -0000

Can I beat Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 before the battery dies? I pushed the Switch 2, its battery, and my Elden Ring experience as far as I could to find out.

From battery testing and ridiculous power-saving settings to racing through bosses with only a few percent left, this turned into one of the most stressful gaming challenges I’ve ever done.

If you enjoyed this style of Better Gaming video, let me know I’d love to make more ambitious gaming experiments like this.

I Jailbroke a $70 PS4... It Became a Completely Different Console

Wed, 19 Aug 2026 17:00:05 -0000

I bought a $70 PS4 and jailbroke it to see how far I could actually push the hardware in 2026.

What started with a cheap Blu-ray quickly turned into homebrew, emulation, cheats, FPS patches, save backups, FTP access, PS2 games and eventually a full Linux desktop running on the PlayStation 4. I even managed to install Steam, which is where this experiment officially went way further than I expected.

Banned Switch? Nextendo Network Brings It Back Online!

Thu, 13 Aug 2026 15:17:12 -0000

Nextendo Network can bring online multiplayer back to a modded Nintendo Switch — even if that console is banned from Nintendo's own online services. I tested Nextendo on real Switch hardware AND through Ryujinx-Nextendo on PC, and the results seriously surprised me.

In this video I'll show you what Nextendo Network actually is, how I finally got it working after running into a pile of errors, how to set up Prelude and SwitchTime, and what Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are actually like online.

IMPORTANT:
Nextendo does NOT unban your Nintendo Switch and it does NOT restore access to Nintendo Switch Online, the eShop, or Nintendo's official servers. Nextendo is a completely separate community-run online network.

🚨 PS5 Jailbreak HUGE Update: 50-Minute Wait Is GONE! [9.00–12.00] soon 13.60?

Mon, 10 Aug 2026 18:40:53 -0000

The PS5 jailbreak just got a MASSIVE speed upgrade. The new WebKit + Poopsploit jailbreak chain is now live for PS5 firmware 9.00–12.00, replacing the painfully slow P2JB route for supported consoles.

In this video I explain what changed, WebKit vs Y2JB, Poopsploit vs P2JB/Lapse, which firmwares are supported, and what 12.02–12.70 + 13.xx users need to know.

PS5 Jailbreak Just Got a HUGE Update – Much Faster Soon?! [13.60 Confirmed]

Tue, 04 Aug 2026 11:27:02 -0000

If you appreciate PS5 jailbreak news without turning a 3-minute update into a 20-minute video, a like genuinely helps these compact updates reach more people.

A new PS5 WebKit sandbox escape has been demonstrated on firmware 11.60, with reports of it also working on 12.00 and this could eventually mean a MUCH faster PS5 jailbreak process.

Right now, some PS5 jailbreak methods using P2JB can take around 45–50 minutes. If this new WebKit entry point and sandbox escape can be reliably chained with existing kernel exploits, that wait could potentially be dramatically reduced.

Important: this is current jailbreak development — NOT me saying a finished one-click 11.60/12.00 jailbreak has publicly released.

What firmware is your PS5 currently on? Drop it below — I'm especially curious how many of you are waiting on 11.60, 12.00, 12.02–12.70, or 13.xx.

🚨 Switch 2 Just Got a NEW Userland Exploit?!

Wed, 08 Jul 2026 12:05:30 -0000

Just a few days after my last hacking update, a significant new development in the field of Nintendo Switch 2 hacking has just come to light.

PlayStation security researcher Gezine has unveiled a new, firmware-independent userland exploit that reportedly works on both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2. Although this is NOT a public jailbreak or custom firmware, it is nonetheless an important milestone in ongoing security research on the Switch 2.

In this video, we cover the following topics:
• What Gezine discovered
• Why this is NOT (yet) a jailbreak
• Why exploits targeting save data were ruled out
• ARM64-ROP explained
• Firmware compatibility
• Nintendo telemetry and error logging
• What this means for the future of Switch 2 hacking

⚠️ Currently, there is NO public Switch 2 jailbreak or custom firmware available.

Subscribe to our channel to stay up to date on all the important developments in Switch 2 hacking!

Tinfoil Is Dead... Now What? Meet Cyberfoil

Thu, 02 Jul 2026 17:00:08 -0000

Tinfoil has been one of the most well-known Nintendo Switch homebrew applications for years, but development has slowed down significantly and many users have been asking me the same question:

"Why isn't Tinfoil working anymore?"

In this video, I'll explain what happened, why Tinfoil is no longer the go-to choice for many users, and introduce Cyberfoil, a new project that has been gaining attention within the Nintendo Switch homebrew community.

This is NOT a setup tutorial. Instead, it's an overview of the current state of Switch homebrew and where things may be heading next.

Nintendo Switch Modding in 2026 Is Wild

Wed, 03 Jun 2026 19:29:29 -0000

Even in 2026, your old Nintendo Switch is still secretly one of the most interesting consoles to mod.

In this video, we’ll explore why the modern Nintendo Switch homebrew scene seems more mature than ever: controller support, save backups, custom skins, overlays, game streaming, media playback, retro frontends, and advanced tools that make the original Switch seem surprisingly powerful today.

This is not a general modding tutorial, a guide to exploits, a guide to piracy, or a video about online cheating. The goal is to show what legal homebrew apps and community tools can do once set up, why people are still interested in Switch modding even in 2026, and what risks you should be aware of before you touch anything.

The apps and tools covered include Atmosphère, Hekate, MissionControl, JKSV, NXThemes Installer, Ultrahand Overlay, Moonlight-Switch, NXMP, RetroArch, and Horizon OC.

Nintendo Switch modding is no longer just about the question “Can you mod it?” The better question is: What can a modified Switch actually do in 2026?

⚠️ Important: Homebrew is not piracy. This video is intended solely for discussing legal homebrew applications, customizations, backups, and analyzing the ecosystem. No piracy, no cheating in online mode, and no bypassing paid

Fri, 12 Dec 2025 18:17:57 -0000

In this week’s console hacking news (Week 27: Dec 5 – Dec 11, 2025), we cover Nintendo’s new Switch & Switch 2 firmware 21.1.0 (and what it means for CFW users – spoiler: Atmosphère updated instantly, no breakage!). We also dive into the PlayStation scene: PS5 hackers add Kstuff support for firmware 10.00/10.01, bringing PS4 homebrew compatibility to newer PS5s, plus etaHEN 2.4B’s latest features. The PS5 “Netflix’N’Hack” exploit just got an offline upgrade using USB/M.2 storage – making PS5 user exploits easier than ever. Over on PS4, the community successfully jailbroke firmware 13.00, meaning every PS4 can now run homebrew (once the new BD-J exploit drops). We explain the latest GoldHEN update for 12.50/12.52, new one-click jailbreak Blu-ray discs, and homebrew app updates like PS4PKGInstaller v3.02. It’s a rapid-fire roundup of all things Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PS4 modding. Tune in for the highlights!

PS4 12.52 Full Jailbreak Just Dropped | Switch 2 Firmware & PS5 Exploits

Fri, 05 Dec 2025 14:45:03 -0000

It’s Week 26 of console homebrew news and there’s a ton to cover in under 5 minutes! Nintendo’s new Switch firmware 21.0.1 is out – find out why it’s a relief for CFW users (no Atmosphère breakage this time). We also highlight fresh updates to Switch tools like Hekate, JKSV, and NxNandManager for the latest firmware. On the PlayStation side, Sony dropped a PS5 update 12.40.00 aimed at plugging exploits – we’ll tell you why NOT to update if you plan to jailbreak. Plus, the PS5 scene fires back with etaHEN 2.4B (huge new features for PS5 homebrew), ItemzFlow 1.13, and an updated BD-JB ISO. Over on PS4, the new Poob kernel exploit has blossomed into a full jailbreak for 12.50/12.52 – we’ve now got GoldHEN supporting the latest PS4 firmware and even an auto-loading Blu-ray exploit disc that jailbreaks your PS4 on boot! We break down the new GoldHEN Auto-Loader AIO and a slick HenLoader mod (BD-JBreak) that make running homebrew on PS4 easier than ever. All that, plus a quick note on a Metroid Prime 4 leak and more, in this week’s rapid-fire hacking update.

Switch 2 & PS5 Hacking Update (Week 25) – NEW PS4 12.50 Jailbreak Released!

Sat, 29 Nov 2025 20:08:01 -0000

Nintendo’s latest firmware 21.0.0 broke Atmosphère CFW and homebrew apps on the Switch but fixes are already rolling out! In this week’s update, I cover how the community restored CFW and which homebrew tools got updates. Plus, what’s the status of Switch 2 hacking? 🕵️‍♂️ We discuss the lack of exploits (and why you shouldn’t lose hope).

On the PlayStation side, a new PS5 “Netflix” exploit was released, letting you jailbreak via the Netflix app – seriously! 😱 I explain how Netflix-N-Hack works and how it complements the YouTube exploit. We also look at the latest PS5 homebrew developments: an updated Y2JB AutoLoader, new fPKG Installer progress for game backups, the BD-JB ISO v1.21 packed with homebrew, and a handy Kstuff Toggle tool. PS4 isn’t left out either: GoldHEN got updated for newer firmwares and more.

It’s a jam-packed news roundup for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PS4 scenes. Whether you’re into console modding, homebrew, or just curious about the hacking world, this update will get you up to speed! 👍

I Jailbroke My PS5 and Found Something Insane

Fri, 21 Nov 2025 14:01:50 -0000

Jailbreaking My PS5 for 1 Week – PS5 Homebrew Adventure (120FPS, Retro Games & More!) #ps5jailbreak #ps5 #playstation5

In this video, I spend a full week exploring the PlayStation 5 jailbreak and homebrew scene and reveal the amazing things you can do on a jailbroken PS5. From running PS4 FPKG game backups on PS5 and playing PS2/PS1 games in 1080p, to unlocking 120 FPS in PS4 titles like Bloodborne and adding ultrawide aspect ratios, I showcase it all in a documentary-style format. I also delve into PS5 homebrew apps - using PS5 Explorer to enable an FTP server for file transfers, and Itemzflow to launch dumped PS5 games directly from a USB 3.0 drive. Watch as I set up the new Y2JB autoloader exploit via the YouTube app (making the jailbreak fire up automatically without a PC) and use .elf payloads to dump PS5 games and run custom plugins.

This video is for educational purposes and legal homebrew only – no piracy or tutorial-style hacking steps. Instead, I’m showing what’s possible and sharing my first-hand discoveries in the PS5 modding scene. If you’re curious how PS5 mods can enhance your console – whether it’s backward compatibility with retro games, performance boosts, or new utilities – this is for you. (At the time of recording, PS5 jailbreaks work on firmwares up to 7.61, with full support on 5.50 and below

⚠️ DO NOT Update to Switch 20.0.0 – Atmosphère & Homebrew Users BEWARE!

Wed, 30 Apr 2025 12:29:38 -0000

⚠️ DO NOT Update to Switch 20.0.0 – Atmosphère & Homebrew Users BEWARE!

-sound has some problems, that's my bad sorry for that!

🚨 Switch Firmware 20.0.0 is out – but DON’T UPDATE if you use Atmosphère or homebrew!

Nintendo just dropped a brand new system version, and as always, it’s not safe for modded consoles. Atmosphère is currently NOT compatible with 20.0.0, meaning your custom firmware, Tinfoil, emulators, themes, and mods WILL BREAK.

🎮 If you care about your homebrew setup:
👉 Turn off auto-updates
👉 Stay on your current firmware
👉 Wait for a safe release from the Atmosphère devs

This video breaks down what’s going on and what to do. Stay informed. Stay safe. Stay homebrewed.
