<title>Black Sunday: What Broke Me Built Me</title>
<description>There are moments in life that divide everything into before and after.

For this man, it was a Sunday.

A day marked by betrayal, heartbreak, and the collapse of the life he thought he knew. After discovering his wife’s affair, everything unraveled—his marriage, identity, confidence, and sense of purpose.

But what felt like the end became the beginning of something deeper.

In this raw episode of Fully Anonymous, we walk through the pain of infidelity, the reality of brokenness, and the unexpected way God stepped into the darkest season of one man’s life—not just to restore hope, but to confront the wounds, pride, and emptiness that had been buried for years.

This isn’t just a story about losing a marriage.
It’s a story about finding God in the wreckage.

If you’ve ever experienced betrayal, loss, divorce, or a season where life completely fell apart… this conversation will remind you that God still rebuilds broken men.

Instead of running, numbing, or blaming… God stepped in.

You’re not alone. And this isn’t the end of your story.

<title>The Secret Life of a Christian Leader: When Your Public Faith Doesn’t Match Your Private Life</title>
<description>Many Christian leaders live two lives.

One that everyone sees…
And one they’re terrified anyone will discover.

In this episode of Fully Anonymous, we unpack the silent battle many pastors, ministry leaders, and Christian men face when their public reputation is strong but their private life is falling apart.

You’ll hear the anonymous story of a respected leader who looked successful on the outside—but inside was trapped in secrecy, shame, and destructive habits.

This conversation exposes the lie that “If people knew the real me, I’d lose everything.”

Instead, we explore the biblical truth that confession is the doorway to freedom, not destruction.

You’ll learn:

• Why secrecy gives addiction power
• Why Christian leaders feel the most pressure to hide
• The spiritual danger of protecting your image
• How confession dismantles shame
• The practical first step toward real freedom

Darkness survives in secrecy.

But the moment truth enters the room, shame begins to lose its power.

If you're tired of living two lives… this episode is your wake-up call.

      <title>He Made $100K a Month… and Almost Lost His Family</title>
<description>A lot of men in the church are struggling in silence; and they’ll never raise their hand, never walk to the front, and never admit what’s really going on. In this episode, you’ll hear why this anonymous mission was started to help pastors, elders, and church leaders identify the hidden pain inside their congregation, especially the men who want freedom but won’t speak up. Then the baton gets passed to Ron Cool, a men’s ministry leader with New Path Ministry, who shares his real story of being addicted to success, addicted to money, and building an identity around hustle; until it nearly destroyed his marriage and family. If you’re a Christian man trying to lead your home, a husband who feels stuck, or a wife watching your husband drift, this conversation will give you language, hope, and a simple framework for priorities: God first, marriage second, family third. This is for men’s ministry, church leadership, and anyone who wants real transformation without public shame, forced confessions, or performative recovery culture.

<title>When Life Falls Apart, This Is What God Is Doing</title>
<description>If your life feels like it’s falling apart—marriage stress, anxiety, addiction, burnout, career collapse, or that quiet feeling of “I don’t know who I am anymore”—this message is for you. Many people assume disruption means failure or punishment, but what if the breaking is actually God’s invitation to rebuild your identity? In this episode, we go deep into the journey of “I AM” identity—how God establishes you through a process, not a moment. You’ll learn why shaking seasons expose the false self, why men often resist change until something breaks, and how dependencies (success, trophies, money, substances, comfort, religiosity, image control) can quietly become the foundation of your self-worth. This is a raw conversation about the dark night of the soul, detaching from people, places, and things, and re-attaching to what God says about you. If you’ve been stuck in survival mode, repeating the same cycles, or ignoring the “check engine light” of pain—this is your wake-up call toward healing, freedom, and becoming who you were designed to be.

Why disruption is often God’s activity, not rejection or punishment

How identity gets attached to careers, success, roles, and relationships

The hidden danger of dependencies (including “good” addictions like achievement)

Why men don’t change until something breaks: awareness + motivation

How pain works like a check engine light—what it’s trying to reveal

The “phoenix from the ashes” pattern: breaking → formation → restoration

How the Prodigal Son explains your breakdown season and return to the Father

Why transparency is strength: honesty &gt; image control

How to begin the shift from the false self to the new creation

00:00 Intro01:10 The identity journey is a process03:05 Disruption: “There’s got to be more”06:10 Dependencies &amp; why detaching feels like death10:05 Marcus’ story: success but losing himself13:30 Personal story: 2008–2009 collapse and identity loss18:10 Why men don’t change until something breaks22:05 God reveals brokenness to heal it (not to destroy you)26:10 Kintsugi: restoring cracks with gold30:00 The false self vs the new self34:10 Prodigal Son: the party is over39:20 Pain as God’s message (check engine light)43:10 Mary &amp; Joseph: scandal, disruption, and God birthing purpose48:10 Lies that keep men stuck (image, control, performance)

      <title>You’re Not Rebelling… You’re Asleep (Here’s How to Wake Up)</title>
<description>If you’ve stopped thinking about God… you might not be rebelling—you might be spiritually asleep. This episode kicks off a “journey of the mind” from living on autopilot to learning how to think with God. We talk about the pre-contemplation stage—when God is out of sight, out of mind—and why distraction, busyness, entertainment, and numb routines can feel like peace while your soul quietly aches.

You’ll hear why God doesn’t scold sleepers—He sends wake-up calls, often disguised as your life: health scares, relationship strain, financial pressure, inner emptiness, holy dissatisfaction. Through the story of Jonah, we explore how storms can be mercy, not just consequences—an unrelenting kindness that won’t let you drift into forgetfulness. If you’re tired of going through the motions, if you sense “something’s missing,” or if you’re ready to wake up to purpose, eternity, legacy, and real spiritual awareness—this is for you.

The difference between spiritual sleep vs. conscious rebellion

Why “ignorant bliss” keeps you stuck (even in church)

How autopilot living makes you miss what matters

Why disruption is often the doorway to transformation

Jonah’s storm: conviction, avoidance, and mercy

Ephesians 5:14 explained: Wake up sleeper

<title>From Striving to Surrender: Stepping Into Divine Embodiment</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/From-Striving-to-Surrender-Stepping-Into-Divine-Embodiment-e393ju9</link>
<description>What if the next stage of your spiritual growth isn’t about doing more for God—but becoming more like Him?In this final session of Next Level, we explore the most profound and transformative dimension of discipleship: divine embodiment. This isn’t just about being a better Christian—it’s about becoming a vessel of God's heart, mind, and hands in the world. Host [insert host name] offers a deeply honest and soul-stirring invitation into union with God that goes far beyond intellectual belief.
You’ll trace the spiritual journey from God working for us, then in us, then through us… to this ultimate stage: God inhabiting us. What does it look like to carry His presence, to live from His love, and to act with His purpose? Through powerful metaphors, biblical insights, and a memorable parable of the potter and the clay, this episode opens a vision for what it means to truly reflect the glory of Christ in everyday life.
5 Key Takeaways:

Divine embodiment is living from God's heart, mind, and hands—not from ego or striving.

Authenticity, love, and gratitude are essential for spiritual transformation.

Surrender isn’t weakness—it’s the gateway to true peace, power, and purpose.

We must stop seeing God as “out there” and begin communing with His Spirit within.

Focus fuels embodiment: what you fix your gaze on determines the life you live.

Quote from the episode:“It’s insanity to strive for God’s approval when He has already given it. The invitation is to embody what’s already true.”
Call to Action:Take five minutes today to journal: Where am I striving, and where can I surrender? Then share this episode with someone hungry for a deeper walk with God. And don’t forget to subscribe—we’re just getting started.

<title>From ‘Me’ to Mission: Embracing the Service Mindset That Transforms Everything</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/From-Me-to-Mission-Embracing-the-Service-Mindset-That-Transforms-Everything-e393jn6</link>
<description>Are you stuck in self-centered striving—or ready to live for something greater?
In this powerful sixth session, we dive deep into the transformational shift that occurs when a man moves from self-focus to servant-hearted living. If you’ve ever felt like your pursuit of success left you empty or wondered why achievement alone doesn’t satisfy, this episode is your call to rise. Because stepping into service isn't a downgrade—it's a divine upgrade.
You’ll discover how adopting a service mindset marks a key milestone in a disciple’s maturity. It’s the bridge between personal growth and eternal impact. This mindset doesn't just benefit others—it redefines your purpose, your relationships, and your legacy. You’ll hear how service starts at home—with your wife, your kids, your inner world—and flows outward into the community, the church, and ultimately, the Kingdom.
We unpack the life of Nehemiah, the wisdom of Esther, and the humble example of Jesus to show how real greatness comes through service. Plus, you’ll meet James—a successful executive facing the tension between profit and purpose. His story might just mirror yours.
5 Takeaways:

Service begins at home—and maturity starts with showing up for your family.

You can’t serve from an empty cup. Fill yourself first to pour out effectively.

Greatness isn’t about applause; it’s about impact.

Every gift you have was given to serve others—start using them that way.

God modeled servant leadership—now it’s your turn.

"The fruit isn’t for the tree. Your gifts aren’t for you—they're for others to eat and be nourished."
→ Journal this week: Where am I serving? Who am I uplifting? What fruit am I offering the world? Then subscribe, share this episode with a brother, and keep walking the path of purpose.

<title>Flow State: How to Become a Conduit for God’s Power</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Flow-State-How-to-Become-a-Conduit-for-Gods-Power-e393jdj</link>
<description>Are you still waiting on God to do something for you—when He’s ready to move through you?
In this powerful session, we step into a life-altering mindset shift: from being vessels shaped by fire to becoming conduits—active channels of God’s love, creativity, and power. If you’ve ever felt stuck, burned out, or like you're giving from an empty cup, this episode is your invitation into a higher flow of purpose and connection. You weren’t created to merely survive; you were made to carry divine impact.
This episode explores what it means to embody “conduit consciousness”—living as a vessel through which God works, speaks, and heals. We unpack the natural movement from dependence to maturity, from receiving to giving, from self-focus to God-flow. Through examples like Ananias and the Apostle Paul, Jesus with the woman at the well, and stories of modern-day artists and teachers, we see how powerfully God uses ordinary people who surrender control and embrace their role as channels for His Spirit. You’ll discover how the fruit of the Spirit is not forced but flows when you stay connected to the source.
5 Key Takeaways:

A conduit mindset means shifting from “God, what are You doing to me?” to “God, what are You doing throughme?”

Burnout is a signal—you’ve been operating in your own strength. Reconnection to God revives the flow.

Creativity is a river, not a reservoir. When you hoard inspiration or delay action, the flow stops.

Obedience opens ripple effects. Like Ananias, your yes to God can change someone else's destiny.

Fruitfulness comes from connection. You don’t have to force love, patience, or self-control—stay rooted, and the fruit grows.

“I don’t want to die with songs still in me, or books still in me. I want to give it all—let every gift and talent God has placed within me manifest outwardly to bless others.”
Your call to action:Take time today to journal: Where am I clenching instead of channeling? Where can I release control and step into God’s flow? Then—share this episode with a friend who’s ready to stop striving and start flowing.
Subscribe, reflect, and let’s keep growing together.

<title>From Stuck to Unstoppable: Embrace the Creator Mindset</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/From-Stuck-to-Unstoppable-Embrace-the-Creator-Mindset-e393j93</link>
<description>What if life isn't happening to you—but through you?
In this power-packed fourth session, we explore a transformational mindset shift that every disciple of Jesus must embrace: moving from passive living and victimhood to a co-creative partnership with God. Many believers stop at responsibility, but this episode challenges you to go further—to step into your God-given nature as a creator.
This episode is a call to rise into spiritual maturity. It’s not enough to escape sin or survive suffering—we are called to create. Drawing from the imagery of the Potter and the clay, you’ll see how life’s challenges, delays, and difficulties are not punishments, but divine pressure shaping you into a vessel of purpose. With Scripture, raw honesty, and bold conviction, the host walks you through the levels of transformation—from gathering the raw clay of your life to being fired in the kiln of God’s refining love.
You’ll also hear why sedation is the enemy of creation, how spiritual fathers must nurture what they birth, and why reframing your suffering may be the very thing that unlocks your next level.
5 Key Takeaways:

Responsibility without power leads to guilt; creation brings purpose.

God is still creating—and He made you to create with Him.

Pressure, pain, and waiting are tools of divine shaping.

You must prepare for the thing you’re praying for—God blesses movement.

Your greatest message may be hidden in your deepest mess.

“If we don’t embody our nature to create, we will sedate.”
🔥 Call to Action: Don’t just be a listener—be a doer. Reflect in your journal: What am I making with my life right now? Then share this episode with a brother who needs to rise into his Creator mindset. Subscribe to stay with us on this journey of transformation.

<title>Ownership Consciousness: The Next Level of Discipleship</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Ownership-Consciousness-The-Next-Level-of-Discipleship-e393j2q</link>
<description>Are you stuck in a cycle of blame, fear, or frustration—wondering why your life doesn’t reflect the freedom Jesus promised? This episode tackles the life-changing shift that moves you from survival mode to spiritual ownership. If you’re ready to stop circling the same mountains and start walking in power and clarity, this one’s for you.
📖 EPISODE SUMMARY:In this pivotal third session of the series, we dive deep into ownership consciousness—the mindset that bridges the gap between “life is happening to me” and “life is happening for me.” This episode teaches how personal responsibility is not just a self-help buzzword but a biblical mandate for discipleship and transformation. You’ll learn how your reactions, beliefs, and choices shape your reality and why embracing this truth is essential for spiritual growth.
We unpack the biblical law of sowing and reaping and explore how to evaluate the seeds in your life—what’s growing that shouldn’t be, and what needs planting to yield Godly fruit. Through practical frameworks, biblical examples like Joshua and the Prodigal Son, and the honest struggles of real-life “James” and “Sam,” you’ll be equipped to step out of passivity and into the empowered life God desires for you.
🔑 KEY TAKEAWAYS:

Ownership starts with recognizing your God-given domain—and owning it.

Your life outcomes reflect the seeds you've been sowing. Change the seed, change the fruit.

The “let” Scriptures (let peace rule, let your light shine) reveal the power of permission in spiritual growth.

Responsibility does not oppose God’s sovereignty—it activates it through faith.

Fear and resistance are normal at this level, but growth demands we “do it scared.”

💬 QUOTE:"You haven’t looked in the mirror and said, ‘I caused and allowed this—so now I will stop causing and allowing this.’ That’s new territory."
👉 CALL TO ACTION:Take 5 minutes today to reflect: What one bold, small step will you take in the next 24 hours to act in ownership—even if you do it scared? Then share this episode with a friend who’s ready to rise to the next level. And don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss the rest of this transformational series.

<title>Get Off the Mat: Moving from Victim to Victor in Christ</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Get-Off-the-Mat-Moving-from-Victim-to-Victor-in-Christ-e393its</link>
<description>Stuck in cycles of blame, resentment, and “nothing ever changes”? This episode tackles the victim mindset—the heart-level belief that life only happens to you—and shows you how Jesus invites you to stand up, take responsibility, and walk in real power.
In this conversation, we draw a clear line between being victimized (real wounds and real trauma) and living with a victim mindset (a belief that keeps you powerless long after the event). We unpack how early pain can condition us—like the chained elephant or the abused dog—into learned helplessness, even though we now have the strength to break free. Then we turn to Scripture. From Cain’s choice (Gen. 4) to the man at Bethesda (John 5:1–9), from Israel’s complaints in the wilderness (Ex. 16) to Elijah’s despair and Joseph’s resilience, we see the same question echo: Do you want to get well?
You’ll hear practical ways to rebuild holy agency—simple, doable steps that prove to your heart, “By God’s grace, I can choose.” We expose how culture (and even low-level religion) can seduce us into passivity and blame, then show a better way: taking ownership, reframing pain with God, and stepping into the next level where life begins to happen for you and through you.
Key Takeaways

The difference between being victimized and carrying a victim mindset—and why confusing the two keeps you stuck.

How conditioning creates learned helplessness—and how small, chosen wins rebuild spiritual and personal efficacy.

Jesus’ question, “Do you want to get well?” calls for action, not excuses; healing begins when responsibility returns.

Signs of victim consciousness: constant complaining, identity labels, external blame; how to replace them with truth and responsibility.

Biblical models—Israel, Elijah, Joseph—show the path from powerless to purposeful: from “life is happening to me” to “I can do all things through Christ.”

Quote to Remember
“Jesus doesn’t validate our excuses. He says, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk.’ In other words: cool story—now stand up.”
Call to ActionTake 10 minutes today to journal your answers to three questions: Where do I feel powerless? What limiting belief sits under that feeling? What one small, concrete step will I take with God today to move forward?

<title>Leaving Ego Behind: The First Step to Spiritual Maturity</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Leaving-Ego-Behind-The-First-Step-to-Spiritual-Maturity-e393ik0</link>
<description>🔍 Are you stuck in survival mode—constantly proving your worth, chasing validation, and guarding your image?
Many believers find themselves circling the same struggles, not because they don’t love God, but because they haven’t left the first level of spiritual growth: the flesh-and-ego stage. In this kickoff session of our new series, we uncover what’s really keeping us from spiritual maturity—and how to move forward.
This episode lays the foundation for going to the next level in your walk with Christ.
You’ll learn how God designed spiritual growth to be a progressive journey—one where each level brings new challenges but also new transformation. We begin at the “self” level, where fear, pride, insecurity, and comparison dominate. Through biblical stories like Cain and Abel and the Tower of Babel, we see how self-centered living—driven by fear and fueled by ego—leads to stagnation and spiritual hollowness.
But the good news? God hasn’t left us stuck. This episode maps out the process of growth, exposing the traps of ego and pointing the way to freedom through surrender. We reflect on how Christ calls us beyond ego, into identity rooted in Him—not in performance, achievement, or approval.
🛠️ 5 Key Takeaways:

Spiritual maturity begins by recognizing and crucifying the ego.

The “flesh state” is driven by fear, comparison, and the need for validation.

Ego keeps us stuck in survival mode—focused on image over substance.

Scripture doesn’t tell us to improve ego; it tells us to kill it (Galatians 2:20).

True identity is found in Christ, not in what we accomplish or own.

💬 “Many modalities try to improve the ego—but God says it must die.”

<title>Confront What is False with Honesty</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Confront-What-is-False-with-Honesty-e38ffh9</link>
<description>All right, back at it. We’re talking about transformation; coming out of falsehood, lies, and everything connected to them; into walking in truth, living in truth, embodying truth, and becoming the most authentic, real version of yourself.
To do this, we must confront what is false with honesty. That means we must stop lying and recognize the areas where the flesh still reigns in our lives. Before going further, let me define what I mean by flesh. It’s a biblical term, not one you’ll often find in psychology. In psychology, you might see parallels with “false self” or “old self.” Paul speaks of this when he tells us to put off the old self and put on the new.
The flesh, then, is our fearful, inherent nature; what Scripture sometimes calls iniquities; things passed down generationally. Even modern brain science confirms trauma and pain ripple across generations, influencing families for at least a hundred years. So, the flesh is the fear-based inheritance we all share, which is why Scripture declares that all men are liars, just as it says all have sinned.
The second aspect of the flesh is conditioning. We are raised by people operating out of their own false selves, and we absorb their coping strategies. These condition us with behaviors that often cause pain. So, the flesh is both nature and nurture, and transformation requires confronting both.
Paul points this out when addressing the early churches. He observed divisions, strife, and lack of love, calling these symptoms of carnality. He asked, “Are you not carnal and walking as mere men?” His gospel was about union with divine life, transcending fleshly immaturity to walk in love. Yet the believers he addressed showed stunted growth.
And this is where we all begin. Nobody becomes a Christian and instantly has it all together. We start immature, learning how to walk in love. Early faith is shaky, inconsistent, and often full of hiding and pretending. Paul rebuked some believers by saying, “By this time, you ought to be teachers, but you still need someone to teach you the elementary principles again.” They were stuck in prolonged infancy, not maturing in love.

      <title>Out of Self-Deception</title>
      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Out-of-Self-Deception-e38ff1l</link>
<description>All right, so we’re diving back into our series Stop Lying. The ultimate goal is to get us walking in raw, real authenticity. But the gap between lies and falsehood on one side, and truth, rawness, and authenticity on the other, is a very large gap. Simply saying stop lying doesn’t help us bridge that gap or guide us through the process.
So let’s look at a story in the Bible that lays this out from the very beginning. This passage is foundational, and it helps us see how the process unfolded in creation so we can better understand what we ourselves have gone through, what we are going through, and what others are experiencing as well.
At creation, when man was formed, he was initiated into secure attachment. In Genesis chapter 3, Adam and Eve lived in joyful, secure attachment with God. They were connected. They were in relationship. They were in alignment with Him. Genesis chapter 2 says, “They were naked and not ashamed.” Naked and not ashamed communicates full vulnerability, full transparency, and complete authenticity. Nothing is more raw and real than being naked and yet unashamed.
In that state, they were fully known, fully seen, and fully safe. To be naked and not ashamed is a place of ultimate strength and security. Everything was functioning as it should; alignment, attachment, connection. They were in a deep relationship with God. They were connected to His presence. They were connected to one another without rift or conflict. Their attachment was complete and secure.
They also understood where they came from. They knew their origin and their source. That mattered because origin defines identity. If we believe we originate from chance, from goo, or from animals, our identity is shaped accordingly. But the Bible establishes from the beginning that we were created by God. From origin springs identity. Just as water derived from a pure mountain spring is refreshing, life-giving, and valuable, so identity is shaped by its source.

      <link>https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theheartofmentorship/episodes/Safe-Honest-Christ-Centered-Healing-e38dvt3</link>
<description>I was six years old the first time I learned that truth could be dangerous. My father’s voice thundered through the walls, and I knew the sound meant someone was about to pay for honesty. That night, it was me. I had told him I broke the lamp in the living room. I thought telling the truth was what good boys did. Instead, I tasted the sting of his belt and the silence of a cold bed. Something inside me broke. From that day on, I learned to hide, to cover, to lie. Not because I wanted to be bad, but because I wanted to survive. Decades later, as a grown man sitting in a pew, I still carried that boy inside me, longing for a place where truth wouldn’t hurt, where honesty didn’t mean rejection, where love was stronger than fear.
