Reconnecting with Childhood Friends

Reconnecting with childhood friends can feel both comforting and strangely unfamiliar. It’s like meeting someone who remembers a version of you the world slowly forgot. In this episode, we explore how old friendships help us rediscover forgotten parts of ourselves and remind us that meaningful connections can evolve beautifully over time.

The Excitement of Flying backwards

In this episode, I explore the idea of “flying backwards” as a powerful mindset shift, encouraging you to step back, zoom out, and view life’s challenges with greater perspective. By learning to reflect on your journey instead of constantly rushing forward, you’ll discover practical ways to reduce stress, recognize growth, and navigate everyday life with more clarity and calm.

Slow Down and Look at your Reflection

Self-reflection is one of the most underrated tools for self-development. Although it’s so much easier to escape into a reality show on TV, we rarely learn about ourselves through that experience. Instead, if we focus on ourselves, the way we focus on reality shows, we unearth our own strengths, our flaws, our behaviors and our beliefs, and give ourselves the opportunity to think through what we want to change to get a step closer to the person we want to become.
In this episode, I bring to light this very same thought process.

In this episode, I talk about way to help yourself when you seem to be surrounded by more snakes than ladders.

When Strengths become Weaknesses

We are all proud of our strengths and spend most of our lives enhancing and sharpening them to perfection. However, there’s a flip side to fixating on and to solely identifying ourselves with our strengths. On that flip side, the very strength that set us apart, becomes our biggest weakness.
In this episode, I attempt to shine some light on how our strengths can become our weaknesses, if left unchecked. I hope this helps lift our horse blinders so we can truly focus on self-development and continue to thrive.

Our comfort zones are just that… COMFORTABLE. To truly grow and experience life, we need to step outside our comfort zones to learn about how we react to and deal with uncomfortable situations. That information shines light on not only how we deal with stress, but also how we learn from it and further develop ourselves.
In this episode, I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone so you can create the right environment for personal growth.

In today’s episode, I share some thoughts on how you can identify where your fear of rejection stems from and then consciously work towards creating a mindset that enables you to embrace rejection.

It’s always easier to give help rather than to ask for it.
This episode was triggered by a thoughtful Sunday afternoon conversation with my lovely friends. We spoke about why it’s so hard to ask for help and had deep insights about how our past experiences have unknowingly shaped our behaviors towards this basic need for humans to live as social beings.

We’ve all heard that money is a necessary evil that we can’t live without. Most of us grow up knowing that we need money to survive and spend most of our early adult lives putting structures into place so we have repeatable income.
In this episode, I challenge you to think through your relationship with money; is it giving you the wellbeing you expect it to, or is it doing just the opposite?

Diversity equals brilliance. Diversity fosters innovation. Diversity nurtures empathy. Diversity teaches us to be tolerant and open-minded.
Inclusion creates an environment where everyone is empowered to be their authentic selves. They feel respected and valued for being who they are.
In this episode, I share how accepting diversity and including different types of people in your inner world can truly make you a global citizen; someone who not only survives but instead thrives in todays’ global workplace. Reach out to me at kavita@innersensecoaching.com with thoughts about this episode.

Living life consciously is a huge step. One that most of us avoid taking in our lifetime. By asking ourselves WHY we do something, we learn more about our inner worlds and the untold rules that guide us. In this episode, I attempt to help you think about the word NO, specifically the emotions it brings up for you when you need to use it. Then I help you flip that around so you’re able to use it in a way that benefits you personally and also benefits those around you.

What are your Obstacles ?

Whether they are external or internal, obstacles prevent us from moving forward. While external obstacles are tangible and can be dealt with in a systematic way, internal obstacles are often the ones that prevent us from accomplishing our personal goals.
In this episode, I share some ideas on how you can identify and shine light on your internal obstacles, so you know how to best address them. I hope my thoughts encourage you to understand your personal internal obstacles, so you can tackle them and continue to thrive.

Myth of Work-life Balance

Work and life go hand-in-hand. The more we focus on understanding how we relate to our work, the better we understand how to best create a balance in our lives that is perfect for us. This balance is different for everyone.
In this episode, I attempt to debunk a few myths around work-life balance that I have lived though, in different phases of my career. I hope my experience propels you forward so you can consciously identify your perfect day-to-day and in turn, life-balance.

Are you Listening to the Person in the Mirror?

Breakthroughs come when we have the time and space to see the wood for the trees. The more time we make to reflect and pay attention to our words, our thoughts and our actions, the better we understand ourselves and our needs. Once we understand and address our needs, we are better able to help the people around us.
In this episode, I talk through the WHY and the HOW of listening to the person you see in the mirror. I hope my words encourage you to listen to yourself so you know how to best help that person in the mirror.

Interruptions, Are They Welcome?

Being interrupted by external and internal stimuli has become a way of life for most of us. Consciously paying attention to your interruptions will automatically make you more aware of them and that’s the first step towards regaining control of your time.
In this episode, I share my thoughts around typical and atypical types of interruptions. Once we figure out what kinds of interruptions interfere with our day, we can consciously make a plan to address them. A little bit of planning goes a long way in controlling interruptions.
I hope this episode helps you identify and address your interruptions, so you can better help yourself moving forward.
