Plastic Is Not Waste, It Is A Resource | Bisleri On India's EPR Journey

Plastic does not have to end up in a landfill or the ocean. Given properly for recycling, it becomes a resource with real value.

In this episode, Mr. K. Ganesh, Director of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs at Bisleri International, joins host Hrishikesh Kannan to explain Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in simple terms. He walks us through how India built one of the world's most comprehensive plastic waste frameworks over the last ten years, how Bisleri became a plastic neutral company in 2021 by collecting more plastic than it uses, and why the biggest change still needed is behavioural, starting with segregating waste at home.

An encouraging look at where India stands today and how each of us can be part of the solution.
