Final division preview in the bag and with that we are set for the upcoming NHL season.

The Pacific Division earns the final honors and on the side, you'll also hear my final trophy and standings predictions without forgetting the moment you guys have been waiting for - my official 2024 cup jinx edition. "Expect the unexpected."

Lots of hours were spent crafting these four season preview episodes so I truly hope that they brought you some value and worked as miniature catapults for the upcoming NHL campaign. We've already covered the Atlantic and Central Divisions in prior weeks which means that today we'll have the Metropolitan Division on the plate to finish off the Eastern Conference before diving into the last remaining division the Pacific, which will be on the cards next week. Metro's power sctructure felt quite a shift during last year's regular season which has completely changed the outlook of the division itself where former veteran powerhouses Pittsburgh and Washington have become the underdogs facing a tough hill to climb when aiming to return back to postseason hockey after 1-year hiatus.

Few teams were handed a platter full of tough love and I also got to give my honest opinion on the Mike Babcock situation so, listener disgression is adviced and if there's any Isles fans out there, let me know what's your take on your team's current outlook 'cause I've lost my patient with the leadership of your team and you are about to hear that in today's episode.

Final prospect-watch episde inbound.

Last week we covered the brightest young stars from around the World and this week, we are going to focus on the talents playing in the top three North American pro-leagues - the Cheese Toast Hockey League, the Jungle and the Show.

Episode will also cover the current playoff picture and the teams still remaining on the hunt for their ticket to the post-season, point leaders of this year's campaign and couple other miscellaneous topics such as McDusty's laughable season, players with 100 point checkmarks and few milestones that were reached within the past week.

Focus is going to be on the so-called rookies (mostly Calder eligible players or players that haven't spent much time in the NHL yet) but few honourable mentions will be thrown around so, don't be surprised to see few names that stick out from the crowd.

The recording got corrupted for some reason and the Blackhawks prospects went missing in that exact moment so, to conclude my points: Studs - Lukas Reichel: excellent szn - 51GP - 25 + 23 in the AHL & 23GP 7+8 in the NHL = Future 1st line forward, Cole Guttman 39 GP - 30 Pts in the AHL + 14GP 4+2 in the NHL = NHL ice time next year + Honourable mentions: Alex Vlasic, Isaak Phillips & Alec Regula = possible top 6 dmen for the Hawks.

Wyatt Johnston slipped through my fingers as well but, to put it simply: great season as their 3rd line center and a future top 6 offensive catalyst for the Stars!

Blockbuster season has begun, so I think it should be wise to check out the current marketplace before teams really go nuts before the shot clock runs out.

This week we will focus on the current NHL playoff picture; teams in the running as well as their biggest needs ahead of this year's trade deadline. We will go through the top North American Junior Leagues (Canada: WHL, OHL & QMJHL, the US: USHL & NCAA) as well as the top leagues in Europe (DEL, NLA, Extraliga, Allsvenskan, SHL & Liiga) while also checking out the Swedish and Finnish top junior levels. Few Russian prospects have also impressed in the early season, so those guys will get their moments as well, but the main focus will be in the leagues mentioned above.

Ready for some free agency coverage from the mighty NHL?

Well, even if you aren't here it is. And sorry for lying straight from the get-go. The aim was set but the execution went sideways, but hopefully you won't be bothered by the episode length.

As you can see from the title - 2/2 main objectives accomplished for the off-season: last week - full trade coverage and this week we will cover all the major signings that have gone down so far + the trades that didn't get any attention last week (pretty big blockbuster went down couple weeks ago, so you can expect to hear about that in this week's episode).

Lots of names and figures inbound so you might as well turn this episode into a drinking game of your choice and if you want to get hammered, I would advise you to take a shot each time I'm mentioning AAV, cap hit or deal but the choice is totally yours bud.

NHL off-season officially underway and that shows in the episode length as well.

Because of multiple requests the part 2 of the mental healt series is now finally out!

In today's episode, I'm going to go deeper into my own mind and describe to you the hardships I faced mentally before deciding to call it quits in 2017. In addition to that, we are going to go through the teams that are currently enjoying their mimosas somewhere in the Caribbean and by that, I mean teams that made the playoffs, but found themselves watching the finals elsewhere. Similar run-through is inboud than the one few weeks back, where we first look at their post-season performance and then go through their regular season execution.

Bring out the champagne, 'cause today we are going to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of this podcast. Big thank you belongs to you my dear listener as well, since you've stuck with me and by that, have supported this journey more than you can imagine.

It's been an exiting year filled with new challenges and lots more to come, but I'm eager to see what the future holds and I really hope that you will be a part of it as well. This is only the beginning and I can promise you that great things are ahead for us in the future. 40th Episode - Young Guns of 2022

Annual draft preview is on the horizon and boy did it take longer than I expected.

Top entry draft prospects are under the review - strenghts, weaknesses and possible future upsides included. Mock draft is coming closer to the actual draft so stay tuned for that on a later date.

These are always fun to make and it was good to catch up to pace, when it comes to current rankings around the different scouting agencies.

And as a Habs fan, this is going to be the highlight of the year 2022 for one specific reason... and quick first round glimpse is also included in the episode, while the main attractions are going to be the young guns of the 2022 draft class.

28th Episode - U20 Tire Fire & Olympic Farce

Cancelled - well, that won't stop me. I had this episode ready to go before the whole circus was closed and if you know me, I won't miss the chance to talk about the brightest young talents showcasing their skills in the best junior hockey tournament in the world. Extremely disappointed about the decision, but now we just have to live with it. Same thing with the Olympic participation, so those two topics will be on display today as I also give my analysis on the top prospects. Quick touch up on the UFC 269 events as well, but for the most part - we will focus on the current hockey shenanigans.

Oh BABY! Another cherry popped and this time, you get to know - with whom. Despite probably anticipating a guest from the hockey scene, this guest kicks balls for a livin' , but knows something about hockey too. My good friend Ilmari Niskanen joins us from Scotland as we discuss topics surrounding his own career, overall differences in top European leagues, training, his love for the New Jersey Devils and lastly he gets to be the first guinea-pig on my stable guest episode questionare, so you have to stay until the end to find out, how he eventually handles it.

Very different episode from the previous ones and the quality unfortunately isn't quite up to normal standards because of the software we were using, but don't get scared at the start - it gets better after the first few minutes. I didn't plan on having this one-sided discussion, but the guy is pure bread Savonian and could speak by himself for days on end, even if no-one was there to listen. So, at least you get to hear what he has to say and let me tell you - he used his turns to his advantage. So, if you are already tired of my voice, this episode should suit you quite nicely.

Lots of laughter and precise analysis upcoming, so light up a candle and make yourself comfortable, 'cause your are going to enjoy this one!
