Consumer packaged goods, or CPG, are the products we buy over and over again like food, beverages, cosmetics, cleaning supplies and other household products. In addition to being consumable, those products are often manufactured domestically, are heavy and cannot be miniaturized which makes freight and logistics costs especially critical. I’m launching a weekly The Stockout podcast to expand upon the CPG supply chain issues discussed in the newsletter. The podcast will cover the major issues in the industry, such as mergers and new product introductions, but what will set it apart will come from leveraging the logistics data from the FreightWaves SONAR platform and the expertise of the FreightWaves community.
