<title>The Disappearance of Leah Roberts: The Road Trip That Never Ended</title>
<description>In March of 2000, a 23-year-old college student named Leah Roberts packed her belongings into her Jeep and left North Carolina behind.

She had no set destination. No clear plan. Just a map, a sense of adventure, and a deep fascination with the writings of Jack Kerouac.

But two weeks later, Leah’s Jeep was discovered at the bottom of a remote embankment in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State.

The vehicle had clearly been crashed. The windshield was shattered. Personal belongings were scattered around the scene. And Leah Roberts was nowhere to be found.

Investigators would soon discover strange clues surrounding the crash—details that raised more questions than answers. Was it an accident? Did Leah wander off into the wilderness? Or did someone else find her first?

More than two decades later, no one knows what truly happened to Leah Roberts.

      <title>The Disappearance of Brian Shaffer</title>
<description>#38 - Imagine walking into a crowded bar with your friends late at night… surrounded by hundreds of people, music blasting, drinks flowing, and security cameras everywhere.

Now imagine walking back toward the entrance just minutes before closing time.

And then… somehow disappearing without a trace.

That’s exactly what happened to 27-year-old Brian Shaffer.

On March 31st, 2006, Brian, a medical student at Ohio State University, went out for a night of drinks with friends in Columbus, Ohio to celebrate the start of spring break. Surveillance cameras captured him entering a popular campus bar called the Ugly Tuna Saloona.

But those same cameras never captured him leaving.

His friends eventually walked out. Every other patron that night was accounted for.

Everyone… except Brian.

Nearly two decades later, investigators still don’t know how a man could seemingly vanish from a crowded bar in the middle of a busy college district.

Did Brian leave the bar undetected somehow? Did he run away from his life?Or did something far more sinister happen that night?

Today, we’re looking at the mysterious disappearance of Brian Shaffer and the question that still remains unanswered.

What happened to him… and who might know the truth?

      <title>Karina Holmer</title>
<description>Sometimes the most disturbing cases begin with a simple night out.

A young woman goes dancing with friends. She laughs, drinks, maybe stays out a little too late. And then… she disappears.

But what happened next in this case would shock an entire city.

In June of 1996, a man searching through a dumpster in Boston made a horrifying discovery: inside a trash bag was the upper half of a woman’s body. Her killer had strangled her, cut her in half, and discarded her like garbage. The rest of her body was never found.

That victim was 20-year-old Karina Holmer, a young woman from Sweden who had come to the United States only months earlier to work as an au pair and experience life in a new country.

She had dreams of travel, independence, and adventure.

Instead, her story ended in one of Boston’s most brutal and baffling unsolved murders.

Karina was last seen in the early morning hours of June 22nd, 1996, leaving a nightclub in downtown Boston after a night out with friends. What happened after that moment remains a mystery.

Nearly three decades later, investigators still don’t know who killed her.

Someone out there knows exactly what happened to Karina Holmer.

And today, we’re going to try to find them.

      <title>Springfield Three</title>
<description>#36 - In the early morning hours of June 7th, 1992, something happened inside a quiet home in Springfield, Missouri.

When friends arrived at the house later that day, they expected to find two recent high school graduates getting ready for a day at the water park. Instead, they found something deeply unsettling.

The three women who had been inside the house the night before were gone.

Their cars were still parked outside. Their purses and personal belongings were still inside. The family dog was wandering around the home.

Nothing appeared to be stolen. There were no obvious signs of a struggle.

But 47-year-old Sherrill Levitt, her 19-year-old daughter Suzanne Streeter, and Suzanne’s best friend Stacy McCall had seemingly vanished without a trace.

Three women… gone from the same home in the middle of the night.

No witnesses. No confirmed suspects. And more than three decades later, no answers.

This case would soon become known as one of the most baffling unsolved disappearances in American history.

This is the story of the Springfield Three.

<p>The three women who had been inside the house the night before were gone.</p>
<p>Their cars were still parked outside. Their purses and personal belongings were still inside. The family dog was wandering around the home.</p>
<p>Nothing appeared to be stolen. There were no obvious signs of a struggle.</p>
<p>But 47-year-old Sherrill Levitt, her 19-year-old daughter Suzanne Streeter, and Suzanne’s best friend Stacy McCall had seemingly vanished without a trace.</p>
<p>Three women… gone from the same home in the middle of the night.</p>
<p>No witnesses. No confirmed suspects. And more than three decades later, no answers.</p>
<p>This case would soon become known as one of the most baffling unsolved disappearances in American history.</p>
<p>This is the story of the Springfield Three.</p>

      <title>Lindsay Buziak</title>
<description>#35 - Imagine getting a phone call from someone looking to buy a million-dollar home. For most real estate agents, that would be the opportunity of a lifetime. A huge commission. A career-making sale.

But something about this call felt… off.

The woman on the phone spoke with an unusual accent. She wouldn’t say exactly how she got the agent’s personal number. And when the agent asked questions, the caller seemed strangely vague.

Still, the showing was scheduled. A beautiful home. A quiet cul-de-sac.Late afternoon on a winter evening.

At 5:30 p.m., the young agent arrived and greeted the couple, who said they wanted to see the house. They walked inside together.

Twenty minutes later… she was dead.

The killers vanished without leaving behind DNA, fingerprints, or any clear motive. No robbery. No sexual assault. Just a brutal stabbing inside an empty house.

Who were the mysterious buyers? Why did they choose her? And how do two people plan a murder so carefully… only to disappear without a trace?

Today, we’re diving into the unsolved murder of Lindsay Buziak — a case that continues to haunt investigators, her family, and an entire community.

<title>Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone Jr.</title>
<description>#34 - On the night of February 19th, 2005, 34-year-old Danielle Imbo and 35-year-old Richard Petrone Jr. spent the evening with friends at a bar on South Street in Philadelphia. Just before midnight, they left together, planning to drive back to Danielle’s home in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

But they never made it.

Danielle and Richard vanished that night without a trace. And somehow, the pickup truck they were driving disappeared too.

Despite the fact that they were last seen leaving one of the busiest nightlife areas in the city, no witnesses have ever come forward to explain what happened next. No confirmed sightings. No physical evidence. No answers.

For investigators, the case quickly became one of the most baffling disappearances in the region.

Because it’s not just two people who vanished.

It’s two people… and a truck.

And to this day, no one knows where any of them went.

This is the disappearance of Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone Jr.

      <title>Michael and April Holton </title>
<description>On the morning of September 11, 2016, Michael and April Holton were found shot inside their home in Eclectic, Alabama—just eleven minutes after a sheriff’s deputy had visited the house. Michael, a beloved former mayor and firefighter, was dead at the scene. April died the next morning. Their eldest son, 17-year-old Madison, was the only other person inside the home.

Was this a murder-suicide fueled by a painful separation… or something far more complicated?

In this episode, we break down the tense timeline, the forensic inconsistencies, the shifting theories, and why the charges against Madison were ultimately dropped. Nearly a decade later, no one has been convicted. And the truth of what happened in those eleven minutes remains one of Alabama’s most haunting mysteries.

If you have information about the deaths of Michael and April Holton, contact the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers of Central Alabama.

      <title>Asha Degree</title>

      <title>Amber Berbiglia </title>
<description>Twenty-three-year-old Amber Berbiglia spent a normal Friday running errands around Myrtle Beach—paying a bill, getting gas, a quick haircut—before she was due at work. She never arrived. Hours later, Amber was found beneath the Robert Edge Parkway overpass; her car was still running, her phone within reach. The autopsy revealed she’d been beaten and strangled. No robbery. No sexual assault. No clear motive.

In this episode, we trace Amber’s final movements, unpack the confusing surveillance footage (including the unidentified person later seen in her car), and examine the conflicting reports about DNA—asking whether modern tools like M-Vac, advanced sequencing, or forensic genetic genealogy could finally break this case. We also explore the leading theories: random attack, someone she knew, an abduction gone wrong, or predatory stalking.

If you have any information about what happened to Amber on May 3, 2013, contact Myrtle Beach/North Myrtle Beach Police or Crime Stoppers. Amber deserves justice.

      <title>Kerry Graham and Francine Trimble</title>
<description>In December 1978, best friends Kerry Graham (15) and Francine Trimble (14) vanished from Forestville, California. The girls were last seen heading to the Coddingtown Mall to shop for Christmas—but they never came home.

Seven months later, skeletal remains were discovered off Highway 20 in Mendocino County. Bound with duct tape and buried in a shallow grave, the victims were never identified. For nearly 40 years, they were known only as the Mendocino County Does.

In 2016, DNA testing finally gave the girls their names back: Kerry and Francine. But the answers ended there. Their killer has never been found.

This week on Find My Killer, we dive into the decades-long mystery of two inseparable friends whose story was nearly erased by time—and the chilling question that still lingers: who murdered Kerry Graham and Francine Trimble?

      <title>Zebb Quinn</title>
<description>In January 2000, 18-year-old Zebb Quinn clocked out of his Walmart shift in Asheville, North Carolina, and vanished. Two weeks later, his car was found abandoned in a restaurant parking lot—with the headlights still on, a puppy trapped inside, and a strange lipstick drawing scrawled across the rear window.

For years, suspicion swirled around the last person to see him alive, his coworker Robert Jason Owens. But it wasn’t until 2017—after Owens was convicted in another shocking case—that he was finally indicted for Zebb’s murder. Then, in 2022, a plea deal revealed a chilling new account: Owens claimed his own uncle, now dead, was the real killer.

This episode unravels the bizarre twists, alleged cover-ups, and lingering questions in a case that remains unsolved more than two decades later. Who killed Zebb Quinn—and why?

      <title>Thomas Wales</title>
<description>In October 2001, federal prosecutor Thomas Crane Wales was working late in the basement office of his Seattle home when a gunman crept into his backyard, raised a pistol to the window, and opened fire. The shooter vanished into the night — leaving behind the only unsolved assassination of a sitting federal prosecutor in U.S. history.

Wales wasn’t just a respected Assistant U.S. Attorney. He was also a passionate gun control advocate and a man unafraid to take on powerful enemies. Over the years, investigators have chased leads from a disgruntled pilot to a bizarre handwritten confession from someone calling themselves “Gidget,” and even a tip from a future serial killer working as an FBI informant.

In 2018, the FBI made a bold announcement: they believe Thomas Wales was the victim of a professional hit. But who ordered it? And why has this high-profile murder — with all the resources of federal law enforcement — never been solved?

Over the years, investigators have chased leads from a disgruntled pilot to a bizarre handwritten confession from someone calling themselves “Gidget,” and even a tip from a future serial killer working as an FBI informant.</p>
<p>In 2018, the FBI made a bold announcement: they believe Thomas Wales was the victim of a professional hit. But who ordered it? And why has this high-profile murder — with all the resources of federal law enforcement — never been solved?</p><p> </p><p>Learn more about your ad choices. <title>Jennifer Servo</title>
<description>Jennifer Servo was 22 years old, ambitious, and just beginning her dream job as a television reporter in Abilene, Texas. But only weeks after moving into her new apartment, Jennifer was found murdered—strangled and beaten—in what looked like a deeply personal attack.

There were no signs of forced entry. No arrests. And two decades later, her killer remains unknown.

This week on Find My Killer, we revisit the unsolved 2002 murder of Jennifer Servo. We examine the crime scene, the forensic evidence, and the two key suspects—an ex-boyfriend with a tangled past and a co-worker who may have wanted more than just friendship. Could Jennifer have known her killer? Or did someone slip through the cracks?

If you have information about the case, contact the Abilene Police Department’s Cold Case Unit or Crime Stoppers.

<description>On May 16, 2003, three people were found shot execution-style inside a small bank in Greer, South Carolina. The victims—56-year-old bank teller Sylvia Holtzclaw and married couple Eb and Maggie Barnes—were forced into a back room and killed in cold blood. The killer left behind no fingerprints, no DNA, and no clear motive.

More than two decades later, the case remains unsolved.

      <title>Robert Wone</title>
<description>In August 2006, 32-year-old attorney Robert Wone planned to spend a quiet night at a friend’s home in Washington, D.C. Less than 90 minutes after arriving, he was dead—stabbed three times in the chest while lying in bed. The three men who lived in the home claimed an intruder was responsible. But with no signs of forced entry, a suspiciously clean crime scene, and unanswered questions about what really happened, investigators believed there was more to the story.

      <title>Missy Bevers </title>
<description>It’s just after 4 o’clock in the morning on April 18, 2016. A fitness instructor arrives at a local church in Midlothian, Texas, ready to set up for her early morning boot camp class.

But within less than an hour, she would be dead.

When her students arrived, they found their instructor, 45-year-old Missy Beavers, lying in a pool of blood, brutally murdered.

The chilling part? The killer was captured on surveillance footage, walking through the church hallways in full tactical SWAT gear, casually opening doors and peeking around, as if searching for something… or someone.

Nearly a decade later, despite having video of the suspect, the case remains unsolved.

Who killed Missy Bevers? And why?

      <title>Lauren Dumolo</title>
<description>On a hot summer morning in June 2020, 29-year-old Lauren Dumolo left her Cape Coral, Florida apartment and was never seen again.

Her purse was found abandoned on a bench at Four Freedoms Park. Her cell phone? Back at her apartment. And her flip-flops—discovered later—near a drainage ditch just blocks from where she was last seen.

There was no note. No signs of a struggle. No goodbyes. And no trace of Lauren.

Over the next several weeks, search teams scoured the area. Flyers went up, tips trickled in, and local media tried to keep her story alive. But nearly five years later, her disappearance remains one of Cape Coral’s most troubling cold cases.

Was Lauren the victim of foul play? Did someone close to her know more than they’ve let on? Or is it possible she vanished for reasons no one could have predicted?

Her family is still searching for answers.

      <title>Elizabeth Barazza</title>
<description>Today’s story takes us to a quiet suburb just outside Houston, Texas. It was early in the morning—January 25th, 2019. Elizabeth Barraza, a 29-year-old wife, friend, and beloved Harry Potter and Star Wars superfan, was setting up for a garage sale in her own driveway. She was cheerful, excited, and looking forward to an anniversary trip with her husband. Just minutes later, she’d be dead—shot execution-style by a disguised figure who calmly walked up to her, pulled the trigger, and disappeared.

Captured on chilling home surveillance video, Liz’s murder shocked the community, drew national attention—and yet, her killer has never been caught. Who would want her dead? Why that morning? Why in such a calculated way? And how has no one been arrested?

      <title>Sydney Land</title>
<description>Las Vegas is known for its bright lights, bustling nightlife, and the illusion that anything is possible. But beneath the surface, there are darker truths—truths hidden behind closed doors, secrets people would kill to keep. In October 2016, 21-year-old Sydney Land and her boyfriend were found murdered inside their apartment. The case remains unsolved. And the deeper you dig, the more sinister it becomes.

This is a story about corruption. About fear. About a young woman who may have been caught in something far bigger than herself. And nine years later, her family still doesn’t have answers.

This is Find My Killer, a podcast about unsolved murders, and the people left behind. I’m your host, Courtney Fretwell, and today, we’re investigating the brutal murder of Sydney Land.

      <title>The Setagaya Family Murders</title>
<description>On the night of December 30th, 2000, in the quiet suburbs of Tokyo, a family prepared to ring in the new year. Mikio and Yasuko Miyazawa, along with their two young children—8-year-old Niina and 6-year-old Rei—were at home, winding down the final hours of the 20th century.

But someone else was in the house.

Sometime between nightfall and dawn, a killer entered their home. What happened next would become one of Japan’s most disturbing and mysterious unsolved murders.

All four family members were brutally killed in their own home. And yet—what truly confused investigators wasn’t just the violence. It was what the killer did after the murders.

He stayed… He ate their food… He used their toilet. He might have even taken a nap on the family’s couch.

And when he finally left, he didn’t bother to clean up. He left behind his clothing, his blood, and his DNA.

And still—he was never found.

I’m Courtney Fretwell, and this is Find My Killer. Today, we unravel the case that left Japan in shock—and ask: how does a killer leave so much behind... and still vanish without a trace?

      <title>Carina Saunders</title>
<description>It started with a missing person report — a 19-year-old woman last seen getting into a red Ford truck near Oklahoma City. Just two weeks later, the horror truly began.

In October 2011, the dismembered remains of Carina Saunders were discovered stuffed inside a duffel bag behind a grocery store in Oklahoma City. What followed was a tangled web of suspects, rumors of drug cartels and sex trafficking, and a case that spiraled into chaos, confusion, and controversy. Arrests were made, then dropped. Witnesses vanished, and leads went cold.

More than a decade later, the question still remains: who killed Carina Saunders — and why?

In this week’s episode of Find My Killer, I revisit the chilling timeline and examine the lengthy investigation. Was this a random act of brutality, or was she silenced to send a message?

If you have any information regarding the unsolved murder of Carina Saunders, please contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.

      <title>Father's Day Bank Massacre</title>
<description>#11 - On a quiet Sunday morning in 1990, as families across Denver celebrated Father's Day, an audacious crime unfolded behind the locked doors of the United Bank Tower. When the vault was finally opened later that day, $200,000 was gone, and four people were left for dead.
What seemed like an open-and-shut case quickly spiraled into one of the most baffling unsolved heists and murders in Colorado history. Despite a nationwide manhunt, FBI involvement, and decades of speculation, the full truth behind the Father's Day bank massacre remains buried.
In this episode, I dive deep into the timeline of the murders and explore the suspects and theories.
Were the murders committed by someone who worked at the bank? Was it an inside job? Or something far more sinister?

      <title>Murder of Molly Bish</title>
<description>On the morning of June 27, 2000, 16-year-old Molly Bish was dropped off by her mother at Comins Pon in Warren, Massachusettes, where she worked as a lifeguard. Her mother noticed a strange man in a white car near the parking lot but thought little of it at the time. Later that day, visitors to the pond found the lifeguard empty and reported it. Molly was nowhere to be found.
The search for Molly Bish became the largest and most expensive search for a missing person in Massachusetts history at the time. Despite extensive efforts, no trace of Molly was found until three years later, in June 2003, when her remains were found in the words of Palmer, Massachusettes. Although there have been a number of suspects named in her murder over the years, no one has even been arrested or charged. Who killed 16-year-old Milly Bish that summer day?

<title>The Notes [Death of Ricky McCormick Part 3]</title>
<description>Part 3 of the Death of Ricky McCormick - "The Notes"
On June 30th, 1999, Ricky McCormick was found dead in a remote Missouri cornfield. Although the medical examiner was unable to come up with an exact cause of death, the police have always suspected foul play. Throughout Ricky's 41 years on earth, he found himself in trouble with the law and ran in some sketchy circles of friends that might have contributed to his untimely death. But Ricky's social life and criminal record aren't what makes this case so mysterious. While searching Ricky's pockets after his body was found in the cornfield, the authorities discovered two pieces of paper. But they weren't just any pieces of paper. They were written in a secret code that not even the FBI could crack. What do these notes mean, and how was Ricky McCormick killed?
If Ricky could talk, he would ask us to "Find My Killer."

<title>Persons of Interest [Florence Salon Murders Part 5]</title>
<description>Ep. #5 Florence Salon Murders "Persons of Interest"
*If you haven't already listened to Episodes 1, 2, 3 &amp; 4, "The Hair Gallery," "Black Sunglasses," "A Man in a Top Hat," &amp; "Great Bend, Kansas," it is highly recommended to listen to those episodes before this one.
*This is the final episode of the Florence Salon Murders series.
Three women are found stabbed to death inside a Florence, Montana salon. Their bodies were discovered by a regular customer who reported seeing a strangely dressed person leaving the salon at the same time the police suspect the killings happened. Nothing about the murders made sense since no clear motive could be established, nothing was stolen from the salon, and none of the victims had any known enemies. Although potential suspects have emerged over the years, the case of the Florence Salon Murders remains open and unsolved.
Anyone with tips about the murders is urged to contact the authorities at 406-258-3302.
