Real Dan of course has no problem with any of it, until they got too woke and made it more inclusive and less "slavey"

What does VIP mean to you? It means Very Interesting Podcast as far as we are concerned. We had some incredible opportunities over the last few months. Dan, Erik, and Jimmy enjoyed the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour last week. Within the past few months, Dan and Erik have both taken the Walt's Main Street Story guided tour and Erik alone (with nine other people) spent a whole day with a VIP tour guide.

The Case of the Single Rider Springstravaganza: Part 1

It's that time of year again! Because we can't say March Madness because we will get sued...wait....'

Anyway, it is the time of year where we create the brackets and decide the best thing in all the 4 parks or some variation of that theme.

This year, what is the best single rider line in the domestic parks? The intent of this episode was to break down all the single rider lines and get to a top 16 so we could debate for the final episode in March with a special guest host from DL Weekly Podcast, Tage. However, upon further investigation, Disney did it for us because while there are officially 9 at Disneyland, there are only 4 at Walt Disney word.

So, while we also discuss other items I.e. price of the parks, general hot takes etc, we land on the elite 8 and determine the brackets for this year's challenge.

I swear we are not becoming haters on the parks, Jimmy just posed the "is it too expensive" question and like the rest of the arguments of this show, it just depends.

The Case of the Boat Ride restaurants set at night: The Blue Bayou v San Angel Inn

The Blue Bayou is a fine dining restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. The first of its kind in any Disney park. It sets an atmosphere of dining alfresco in the evening while boats pass through the bayou on their way to seek adventure. San Angel Inn is exactly the same thing but with Mexican food and a decidedly worse attraction. Will San Angel Inn win out because if you get the wrong table in Blue Bayou where you are meant to be dining outside you could see right outside to see sunny southern California? Or will Blue Bayou win because it did it first and it's in a better ride?

The Case of the Land Boat rides: Living with the v Storybook

Storybookland Canal Boats (or some iteration) was in the plans for Walt Disney way back when it was going to be Mickey Mouse Park across from the studio in Burbank. Living with the land was an original concept for the Land pavilion at Epcot. We thought this one was going to be straight forward. It was not.

The Astro Orbitor at Disneyland is not a new attraction. A version of the attraction opened in 1956. Astro Orbiter opened in 1974 at Walt Disney World. From the Tencennial celebration in 1965 that introduced several ground breaking attractions still in operation today somewhere around the world. While that was Walt's last official milestone celebration, the tradition carries on to this day. The Case of the Horseshoes: Golden v Diamond

The Golden Horseshoe was one of the first attractions ever used at Disneyland. Similar to The Mark Twain, The Golden Horseshoe was used on July 13th for Walt and Lillian's wedding anniversary party before Disneyland opened to the public. The Diamond Horseshoe was also an opening day attraction at Magic Kingdom. And, Wally Boag (star of the Golden Horseshoe) opened the Diamond Horseshoe in 1971 to keep the tradition of this live stage show alive.

Today, neither are quite as impressive. The Golden Horseshoe has dueling pianos while the Diamond Horseshoe has a player piano that doesn't play.

We discuss the Ride, its origins and why people go so crazy over a bunch of robot bears!. We also welcome our newest host Nick, son of former host who sadly passed away from an unfortunate hot dog incident at Six Flags, a sad but common theme for our hosts over the years.

While we do have some Six flags references sprinkled in the episode, it is sadly mostly about a Disney attraction. We will get back to the normal schedule on next week’s show.

The Case of the Towers: Twilight v. Guardians or “The Towers of Terrence”

The Tower of Terror is a very unique thrill ride found at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is a similar thrill ride found at Disney California Adventure. There is a shared origin for both of these attractions which includes original ideas by Mel Brooks of all people. We are joined by Terrence of Earzup Podcast and we try having a 4th as Dan acts as the "Jury". I thought jury's were supposed to only listen, but Dan proves us all wrong in this very fun painstakingly detail account of both of these beloved thrill rides in their respective parks. If you're tuning in because you thought this show was about the Steve Guttenberg joint and a marvel film, you will not be disappointed.

Hey There TSR family. We were going to record Tower of Terror this week, but our special guest had a last minute conflict. While we fully understand, we decided to record a sidebar conversation. It was intended to be mostly Disney park related and while we covered the parks and general frivolity, we got in to some serious subjects about mask wearing and social injustice. We know you may be inundated with people's opinion on these subjects, so if you would like to just enjoy the fun stuff, you might want to skip from 25:53 - 52:28. Don't worry, there are plenty of warnings along the way. We kept this part of the show in because we feel it is important and needed to vent our feelings.

Conversely, is the fact that Walt Disney World is so big make it better? For example, the Odyssey in Epcot is a large space that has sat largely empty for years. Does the fact that Walt Disney World have so much underutilized space make it worse? The case of the Haunted Mansions: Disneyland v. Magic Kingdom

The Haunted Mansion is a beloved attraction. The mystery of its structure being erected years before its actual opening have been passed down through generations of Disneyland fans.
