Marc was in the host’s seat this week, as Matt wanted to be one of the guests to celebrate ten years since he first visited Slovakia—a country where he spent two years watching football up and down the Slovak football pyramid, as well as venturing into the leagues of neighbouring Central European countries.

Joining Matt as a guest was his good friend from his Slovak years, Thanos Michael. Thanos moved to Slovakia from his home in Greece and soon fell in love with the country and its football—especially his beloved Spartak Trnava, who he has watched every game (so far) this season.

We also talked about some of the fun grounds in Slovakia, the wackiness of the Slovak football scene, Matt’s love for the Slovakia national team between 2016 and 2018, and Thanos's impressive feat of watching four games in four different countries in 24 hours.
