In the latest pod sports broadcaster, and Singapore Spurs tragic Shehzad Haque hosts alongside his Madrid CL final travel mate and Cheese Room OzSpur Mr. Jolly, with a debut by long time Spurs fan, and fellow Singapore based broadcaster Andrew Leci, whose father was on the books at Spurs many moons ago and whose grandfather was a ST holder for 67 years. The podders discuss the Jose inspired “That’s Beautiful” scrap between Hugo and Sonny, as well as the key aspects of a mostly turgid game including team selection changes, Moussa and Winsky in midfield, as well as how well Dier is playing at the back, or not. There’s also discussion of how Andrew enjoys playing the “Ben Davies Drinking Game” where he skulls some wine for every Davies backward pass. Spoiler - he often gets fairly pissed up!

The lads also wax lyrical on the joyous future of Giovanni Lo Celso, during which Mr. Jolly suggests GLC is Lamela with a brain and Andrew expresses his Lamela loathing via gasps of disbelief, followed by veiled threats. Finally, there’s time for a deep dive into Andrew’s Spurs background, and a rapid fire quiz to see if he’s as smart as he made out when we recruited him. Teaser - he is! Then, in a post pod recording coda we hear Andrew tersely correct Mr. Jolly for his pronunciation of Jose’s name during the pod, referring to him as a redneck Aussie bogan, while Mr. J announces he’s gonna "keep on mispronouncing Jose until he actually wins something with us" before telling Andrew where to stick it. What fun!

PLOT: Recording an hour after a really dross defeat can mean a lot of the raw emotion is still there, that's fairly evident on this one. NSFW and plenty of F-bombs, not sure why I've censored the title to be honest because the swearing starts as soon as Seb starts speaking. The Podders pull the game apart and try and make sense of another lacklustre performance. They pay special attention the balance of the team, the terrible defending and the general malaise around the squad at the minute. And, if so "where do you draw the taste line?” They also discuss the impacts on their own lives briefly before getting their teeth into the Premier League announcement on the indefinite end date for the season. HG suggests that the season might go over two seasons, an idea that Seb argues would be the “end of British football”. The podders also riff on the improbability of behind-closed-doors football games in the current climate. They then talk Tottenham related issues with a look at our “best team of the season”… in today’s show the GK and defence are covered. They ask if Hugo Lloris is a good leader, and wonder how long he has left. They also wonder where Tanganga fits, and if “Surge” Aurier is the best RB. Also WTF do we do about LB? The lads finish themselves off by ruminating on who you’d prefer your daughter to date, the mad-as-a-cut-snake Serge Aurier, or the boring old librarian James Milner?
