These bills will now proceed to the House of Lords for final approval. They may make good on threats if resumed nuclear talks with the U.S. collapse. In the meantime, once again, the Iranian government has threatened the life of Donald Trump. Are they serious about peace talks? Capital Research Center analyst Ryan Mauro contends that it is “the fastest makeover of a public figure” he has ever seen.  Ahmed Al-Sharaa is a “former leader of an Al Qaeda branch in Syria,“ who is “suddenly celebrated as a guy who saw the light.” Trump just lifted sanctions on Syria, but can a leopard change its spots?

• Is Kurdish Protection of  Christians a Myth? When ISIS arrived in her village, Kurdish officials told her family, “We will not sacrifice ourselves for filthy Christians.” Assyrian International Council member, Ashuriena Abraham, argues the world should not count on Kurdish militias to protect Syria’s Christians from Islamic jihadists. “Those who leave us in silence while building false narratives as our protectors will never be guardians of peace because they are among the many architects of our erasure."

• Jihadists are Coming for “People of the Book.” Israel responded forcefully after Hamas “ came for the Jews” on October 7th. Syrian Christians now fear renewed attacks after a suicide bomber recently came for them at a  Damascus church.
