Heartless Choice - E11 'Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underwold' Recap & Review

The enemy is trying to go across the chasm via ropes but it proves more dangerous than expected. The integrity knights ride in and destroy the few pugilists who have made it across, and cut the ropes. Iskahn is horrified at the pointless loss and feels helpless. Sinon and Leafa, with the help of Yui, go to RATH and contact Kikuoka. They notify him that the FLA rate, the passage of time, is synched between the real and virtual world. Also, countless American players are going into the Underworld and join the Dark Territory army. Lisbeth pleads and tries to persuade other VRMMO players to join them and help Kirito and Asuna.

Asuna arrives in the Underworld and is greeted by Tiese and Ronie. They take her to see Kirito who cries, almost speaks and tries to move. Alice than attacks Asuna suspecting her to be an enemy spy! Burcouli breaks up the fight and has Asuna tell the captains about where she comes from. Then Asuna explains that the enemy wants Alice and it is revealed that there could be sabotage going on! The episode ends with Alice, Asuna, Ronie and Liena coming to share stories and information about Kirito.

Alice Becomes the Priestess of Light and Lights it Up! - E8 'Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underwold'

Alice dishes out some MAJOR damage and Dee cannot figure out how that is even possible?! This causes them to retreat. Eldrie confesses to Alice he is not worthy to be her pupil and has failed as a knight but he encourages him to continue. The Orge, Fruger, tells Alice that Vecta wants her because she is the Priestess of Light. This reveal prompts Alice to make a new plan with Fanatio and Bercouli to go into the Dark Territory and find the World’s End Alter. The Orcs make the biggest sacrifice and offer up 3,000 soldiers for the mages - which again shows us not everyone in the Dark Territory is “evil”. Eldrie makes the noble sacrifice and lures away the death worms from the other Integrity Knights and ultimately dies for his choice. Alice makes a proclamation to the Dark Territory army and Gabriel gets to see her for the first time.

Renly redeems himself and returns to the battlefield. It took the courage of Tiese and Ronie to inspire Renly, and even Kirito trying to do something, that pushed him from his own self doubt. The “stabby sisters”, Fizel and Linel, show they are a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield with their amazing skills and fearlessness! The Dark Territory forces release their minions but quickly learn their magic does not work. ‘Uncle’ wipes out the minions with his perfect move. Then Alice finishes collecting the souls of all who perished on the battlefield, remarking how similar we all are and why should we fight?, and dished out a catastrophic blow against the Dark Territory.

Alice von David Joins The 'Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underwold' Episode 1 Recap & Review

Inside an unknown VR environment, Kirito spends his days as a child with his friends Eugeo and Alice. One day the three explore a cave in the outskirts of the Human Territory and get lost, ending up at the boundary of the Dark Territory. Alice trips and falls with her hand accidentally touching the Dark Territory. For this violation, she is sentenced to execution by the Integrity Knights. Kirito attempts to stop Alice from being taken away, while Eugeo stands motionless despite Kirito's pleas. Soon after, Kirito awakens in the real world with no memory of what happened. Later in Gun Gale Online, Sinon, Kirito, Asuna, Silica, Lisbeth, and Klein confront a mysterious squad that flees after one of them is taken down. After the battle, Sinon thanks the others for joining her against them, and back in the real world at Agil's café, she invites Kirito and Asuna to join her in the upcoming edition of the BoB tournament. They agree, and Kirito reveals that he is working part-time for the Rath Company as a tester for a new Full-Dive technology known as "Soul Translator", or STL. On their way home, Kirito and Asuna are attacked by Johnny Black, the final survivor of the Death Gun incident, who succeeds in injecting Kirito with a poison syringe. *Via WikiPedia
