Host Jeff Graham sits down with Jearnest Corchado!

“Little America” is an anthology series that consists of eight 30 minute episodes that focus on a different person overcoming some significant obstacle, whether it is deportation, visa problems, language gaps, or other cultural clashes. In episode 2 titled “The Jaguar”, Corchado plays ‘Marisol’ who is an undocumented teen that becomes a killer competitive squash player. Created by Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Corchado recently starred in the horror film "Cucuy: The Boogeyman”, which is currently available on VOD. Up next, Corchado will star as ‘Gia’ in the indie film “Raise Your Hand”. The film follows Gia and her best friend who try to survive a rough childhood in a neighborhood where every kid has a sad story to tell. In addition, Corchado recently wrapped her first series regular role in the upcoming series “Sneakerheads”.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Corchado made her first appearance in the acting world at the age of 8, taking the leading role on "Esto Paso Aquí, La Adopción". She went on to act in several other Puerto Rican projects, such as the TV show "Sin Limites" and its latest telenovela, "Dueña y Señora”. At the age of 14, she participated in Miss America Outstanding Teen Puerto Rico, and won Best Talent Award for her acting/dancing performance. In 2011, Corchado was cast in the Puerto Rican movie, “Coplas" and upon completion, she was discovered and selected to attend the Celebrity Actor’s Camp under the direction of Adrian R’Mante (Disney). After attending the summer acting program, she realized she had what it took to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and made the permanent move to Los Angeles to continue pursuing her dreams in the entertainment industry.

In 2016, Corchado won Best Actress award at the Monaco Film Festival and Movement Latino Film Festival for her performance in the feature film "Crave: The Fast Life”. Additional acting credits include: CBS' “Fam”, ABC Family’s "The Fosters", NBC’s “The Blacklist”, “Whiteblood”, “Lowlife”, and "The Player".

Host Julana Dizon sits down with Ramon Reed!

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ramon Reed began acting at the age of five in community plays through his school, church and with Porch Productions. In 2015, his starring role as Donkey in a North Carolina Children's Theater summer camp production of "Shrek Jr." sparked a more serious desire and love for acting. In 2017, he decided to give acting a real shot and auditioned for Disney’s "The Lion King" musical. He landed the role as Young Simba and toured with their North American Rafiki Company. He performed in 13 cities for 10 months and appeared in four out of eight shows each week. While on tour, Reed was asked to join the award-winning musical on Broadway, where he performed as Young Simba for three more months before he landed his role on "Just Roll With It."

Reed stars as Owen Blatt, an accomplished student who thrives on detailed schedules and being highly-organized, in Disney Channel's "Just Roll With It." The first-of-its-kind series is a hybrid of a scripted family comedy and an improvisational comedy in which the studio audience members vote on the outcome of certain scenes.

When Reed is not on stage or in front of a camera, he can be found singing, inspiring others, having Nerf wars, playing board games, go-karting, shooting basketball or playing with his baby sister, Skylar. He also loves spending time sharing jokes with his family and friends, whether he is at home or exploring the city.

Reed is a Sickle Cell Anemia warrior and is an advocate for those who live with the disorder. Determined not to let his condition define him, Reed wants to inspire others to continue to pursue their dreams – no matter what life throws their way.

Reed currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.

Hollander is best known for her role as Sheryl on the hit Showtime series Kidding. The show chronicles the life of Jeff Piccirillo, the host of the popular children's television show Mr. Pickles’ Puppet Time. Sheryl is a puppeteer on the series who brings life to the character of Astronotter, a transgender otter who is an astronaut. The cast also includes Jim Carrey, Catherine Keener, Frank Langella, and Judy Greer. Season 2 is set to premiere February 9th.

She has also made a name for herself in the world of film with her lead role in the musical comedy short Marriage Material. The film follows Hollander’s character Leah as she embarks on a quest to make herself suitable for marriage after her boyfriend rejects her marriage proposal. It has made a name for itself on the festival circuit as a Student Academy Award finalist, earning awards for Best Musical Film at the Rhode Island International Film Festival as well as the Manhattan Film Festival.

Prior to landing the role of Finn, Buie was featured in a guest-starring role on "Modern Family" and had a recurring role as "Brad, Jr./Ella" on "Daytime Divas” and in the film Gifted. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Buie loves learning about cars and is a whiz with almost all makes and models. He also enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, playing X-box, driving his Traxxas Rustler, biking and playing soccer.

Born in Tasmania, Australia, Nathan graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and is a former basketball player. Additional acting credits include: “The Good Place”, “The Code”, “Deep Water”, “The Kettering Incident”, “Bombshell”, “Headland”, and “This Is Littleton”.

Black later won the role of Boggs, the creepy convict in the play adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption, before departing for San Francisco, where he studied at the American Conservatory Theater.

There aren’t many people who can point to a career full of success as a performer, teacher, storyteller, entrepreneur, and expert. But Michelle Danner can.

The legendary acting teacher and co-founder of the Edgemar Center for the Arts and the Los Angeles Acting Conservatory, Danner’s also now well-established as a successful feature film director. Her latest completed film, “Bad Impulse,” is a psychological thriller about family secrets and modern technology, starring Sonya Walger, Grant Bowler, and Paul Sorvino; and she’s set to begin shooting “The Runner,” an action thriller and true-life coming of age story about a troubled teenager forced to go undercover to expose a drug kingpin.

A dedicated mom (with one son who is an aspiring filmmaker), Danner still has her “day job” – overseeing the faculty of the Los Angeles Acting Conseratory, and conducting her weekly acting class. Danner’s list of students has included Christian Slater, Salma Hayak, Gerard Butler, Seth McFarlane, Penelope Cruz, Chris Rock, Gabrielle Union, and Zooey Deschanel. A longtime student of legendary acting teachers like Stella Adler and Uta Hagen, Danner’s eclectic approach (which she calls “The Golden Box”) allows actors the freedom to employ a wide variety of techniques.

Raised in a show business family and with a deep appreciation for all of the performing arts, Danner also continues to run the boutique “Cinema at the Edge” film festival (scheduled for February 2020), and is currently preparing to direct a new one-person play, Bonnie Culver’s “Norris,” starring Anne Archer, based on the memoirs of the widow of writer Norman Mailer.

Simply put, there’s almost no one in the business who knows as much about acting and success as Michelle Danner – and her continued success in multiple creative fields makes her one of the most successful women working in the industry today.

Now, Jason documents his long and curious career in his new memoir, Shut Up, I’m Talking: Coming Out in Hollywood and Making it to the Middle from CCB Publishing. After years of bit parts in films, his upcoming breakout performance opposite "Mr. Robot” star Carly Chaikin, in the psychological thriller, LAST MOMENT OF CLARITY, set to to be released in early 2019, should potentially land him on the list of talents to watch in the next few years. Also planned for release in early 2019, Zach will be seen in THE WHITE CROW, the story of legendary ballet dancer Rudolph Nuryev, directed by Ralph Fiennes, which was previewed at the Telluride Film Festival in late 2018, and picked up by Sony Pictures for distribution.

A Midwesterner at heart, Zach spent his teens playing football and dabbling in high school theatre, ultimately playing for Indiana University until an injury ended his NFL dreams. While the arts continued to be a hidden passion, upon graduating he entered the Doctoral program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. While there, he was also attending underground comedy shows and joined local theaters groups, which ultimately let to the decision to shift gears and take a leave of absence from his schooling to pursue acting full time. To fund his goal of moving to LA, he began selling Quickbooks software door to door in the Chicago suburbs and finally made the move west on New Years Eve 2011.

Acting classes helped him get acclimated to LA and meet upcoming directors that lead to work on shorts and indie films, but he also found that cultivating relationships have been the most effective way to get roles, finally landing CURVATURE in 2017 via his friendship with Producer Andrew Levitas. Roman will make his feature film debut as Chris in the upcoming Warner Brothers horror film, The Curse of La Llorona, which will be hitting theaters April 19th. The story depicts the urban legend of La Llorona, the ghost of a woman who lost her children and now cries while looking for them in the river, often causing misfortune to those who are near or hear her. Ignoring the eerie warning of a troubled mother suspected of child endangerment, a social worker and her own small kids are soon drawn into a frightening supernatural realm. His mother in the film is played by actress Linda Cardellini. The cast also includes Sean Patrick Thomas, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez, and Raymond Cruz. Tim Lounibos returns with perfect timing as Hollywood begins to embrace diversity.

Much was expected of Lounibos when he first entered the biz in the 90's. He was branded as part of an "exciting new breed of Asian American actors with widespread mainstream appeal" and went to work immediately on such shows as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Suddenly Susan, and The Nanny, as well as recurring guest stars on Beverly Hills, 90210, The Practice, JAG and The West Wing. He also starred in the feature film Erotique, which was one of the first US films shot in Hong Kong.

Eventually, Lounibos entered what one network executive termed the "tweener stage" -- too old to play the young buck, too young to play the dad -- so Tim made the difficult decision to leave Hollywood to provide for his growing family.

As fate would have it, Tim's acting would be greatly enhanced as he learned real-life experience running a business and supervising hundreds of employees, all the while striving to be a good husband and father and gaining a newfound sense of groundedness and gravitas.

Then, as onscreen diversity began reflecting the face of society, Tim realized his mixed-race combination of German/Irish/Asian along with his seemingly unlimited acting range made the timing right to leap back in.

So far it has proved to be quite successful as Lounibos has quickly stacked up a new set of credits, booking such shows as A.P. Bio, Criminal Minds, Doubt, The Real O'Neals, and The Young and the Restless. In 2019, Tim is set to guest star on Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS and recur throughout the fifth season of Amazon Studios' Bosch.

Indeed, timing is everything.

Produced by and starring Harry Lennix (“The Blacklist”), Taylor stars as Cephas (known as Simon Peter), the apostle who denies knowing Jesus, appearing with an all-star cast that includes Chaka Khan, Michelle Williams, and T’Keyah Crystal Keyman. “Revival!” opens in select cities this December, and is co-directed by Danny Green (“Troubled Waters”) and Obba Babatunde (“Miss Evers’ Boys”), and features a gospel-inspired score by Grammy nominee Mali Music.

A student of both Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler, Kirk Taylor’s life as a performer has found him working regularly in memorable supporting roles in films such as “Death Wish 3,” “School Daze,” “Full Metal Jacket,” and later in acclaimed indie dramas like “MacArthur Park” and “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn.” He’s seen his share of parts left on the cutting room floor, and his name left out of the credits, but that hasn’t stopped Taylor from finding success and praise from all corners, from strangers who recognize him from a key role in a favorite film, to a chance encounter with Sidney Poitier that left a lasting impression.

Born in Edmonton, Canada, to Collette and Tom Gilmore(a former professional hockey player), Gilmore seemed destined for the spotlight from an early age. Meet Paxton Booth: an 8-year-old BMX rider, Tim Burton film lover, and series regular on Disney Channel’s new TV show Coop & Cami Ask The World. Paxton stars alongside castmates Ruby Rose Turner, Dakota Lotus, Albert Tsai, Olivia Sanabia and Rebecca Metz. The show follows a brother-sister duo who make almost all of their decisions — both mundane and madcap — by crowdsourcing opinions from the millions of followers on their online channel ‘Would You Wrather.’ Paxton plays ‘Ollie Wrather,’ the fearless and enthusiastic younger brother of the duo. The show, which premiered this October, is currently in it’s first season.

As a talkative toddler with a love for being in front of the camera, he began his professional acting career at just 2 ½ years old near his hometown of Ventura, CA. While on set, Paxton never shies away from an exciting stunt thrown his way. Although he doesn’t have any formal stunt training, he has carried out several stunts on the set of Coop & Cami with the supervision of a stunt coordinator. Paxton’s fearless nature translates both on and off set, as he has been riding BMX bikes since the age of 3 – around the same time he took off the training wheels on his bike. Racing his BMX bike through skateparks and pump tracks has helped Paxton as an actor by increasing his body awareness. While, his love of automobiles also runs the course of a smaller, plastic track – with his collection of over 1000 Hot Wheels. Having spent countless hours at car shows and museums, he has developed an immersive knowledge of classic cars, noting details on every single one of his Hot Wheels toys.

Beyond car museums, Paxton has an admiration for the arts and loves visiting both classic and street art museums. He also has a fascination with less artistically praised, poorly assembled ‘50s black and white horror films.Captivated by the horror genre, Paxton deeply admires the directorial style of Tim Burton and dreams of being cast in one of his films. Shawn-Caulin Young is a director, producer and actor who stars in the film Heart, Baby as ‘Crystal’, a devout transgender Christian who quotes scripture in support of LGTBQ+ rights. The film follows the true story of George (Gbenga Akinnagbe), an unbeatable prison boxer who turned down an offer from the 1984 US Olympic team in exchange for his freedom, his best friend and transphobic inmate, Doc (Jackson Rathbone), and his transgender female cellmate & love interest, Crystal (Young). To prepare for the role, Shawn lived as a trans-woman on and off set, and throughout the course of filming, experienced harassment both as a female and trans-woman. “I knew if I as a cisgender gay man was going to try and tell a trans story, I needed to know in my soul what life was truly like for a woman like Crystal. It was hard, but I wanted to experience the day-to-day and all the feelings that came with living as a trans woman, so I could try to honor Crystal, as well as my trans sister & brothers. I did it so I could be a true advocate and ally, not just another cisgender person who sympathizes.” Shawn also co-produced the film and has won awards for his performance. Heart, Baby will open in New York on November 16th at the Village East Theatre and in Los Angeles at the Ahrya Fine Arts Laemmle Theatre on November 23rd, with additional markets to follow. Shawn will next be seen in season 3 of “True Detective”, returning Sunday, January 13th, 2019 at 9pm. He is known for his guest roles on Netflix’s “Santa Clarita Diet”, Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place”, and Netflix’s “Godless”. She was also featured in writer/director Mickey Keating’s indie horror thriller Psychopaths. She wrote, produced and starred in the dramatic short Pretext, all of which takes place during a tense conversation between a rape victim and her rapist. And she was the comical referee on the football betting series Cousin Sal’s Sure Thing.

A Nashville, Tennessee native, and a graduate of Northwest High School, Smith got her first taste of show business as a competitive dancer. During that period, as part of a tap dancing trio, she won the U.S. National Championship. However, acting was a stronger draw for her, and she soon began to appear in stage plays, music videos and commercials in her native Tennessee. She also made her feature film debut as the star of Happy and Dead, which was produced locally.

When opportunities dried up in Nashville (she had appeared in so many music videos, she was oversaturated in the market), she decided to pursue her acting ambition in Southern California.

One of her favorite early experiences was working opposite actress Geena Davis in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, in which she portrayed a traumatized mother seeking treatment for her suffocating baby.

She also came to the attention of filmmaker Darrell Holmes who cast her as a popular girl in his romantic comedy Promenade. She then booked a victim role in the Morbid Minutes web series, which was directed by Ted Raimi, and she‘s the dippy bimbo sister opposite Bree Essrig in the Killer Sisters Midnight Hour horror movie review show for director Michael Williamson.

Smith’s other television credits include: Young, Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Wacko Smacko. Her additional feature credits include: The Rocker, Ever, Mountain, and she starred opposite Alan Ruck and Kathleen Wilhoit in director Mike Williamson’s horror short Deathly.

Comfortable with comedy roles, Smith is a veteran of The Groundlings, 10 West, and Upright Citizen’s Brigade. When she isn’t acting, she continues to dance; she’s passionate about animal rights, and fascinated with mythic storytelling from around the world.

She later received her master’s degree in biomechanics, kinesiology and physiology from McDaniel College. White first performed in front of a VHS camera when she produced her own television show at ten. She did some theater work in high school and college, but her introduction to show business began with field promotional work. While also earning a living as a personal trainer, she began demonstrating new products at trade shows, auto shows, boat shows and conventions – touring for such companies as Dr. Pepper, Humana Health Insurance and Nintendo – a job that took her all over the U.S. This promotional work soon led her to becoming a spokesperson, which began to interest her in expanding her creative juices. White’s epiphany came when she and Jon Ingle produced Little Bits,a lively 40-episode sketch comedy web series, in which she wrote, directed, produced, edited and acted, playing a wide variety of comical characters. Shortly thereafter, she made her prime-time television-acting debut in Parks and Recreation, in which she played a socialite opposite Amy Poehler, Adam Scott and Aubrey Plaza. Her additional television credits include: That’s What She Said, America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back, Happily Never After, and Saigon Broadcasting Television Network. White also got a chance to exercise her creative skills, when she was cast in The Office of Doom, a film spoof of The Office that was completed as part ofa 48-hour film competition, with White playing an office secretary with super powers.

I love conflict, and horror films are chock full, whether it’s man against man (Scream), man against self (The Fly), or man against the supernatural (The Prince of Darkness). In Killer Kate! we pit family against family. This film was inspired by many of the low budget flicks of the 1970’s & 1980’s. I draw influence from countless directors, but folks like John Carpenter, Sam Raimi, and James Cameron really drive my work. My wife plays the lead, her family tackled art department, and my family handled production, while our closest friends filled out the rest of the team. It was a true family affair. The song, which was co-written by "All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor and The Elev3n, streamed exclusively on Girls' Life Magazine on June 21st, followed by the music video premiere yesterday on J-14.
