Hang Nguyen is the amazing creator of SIDEWAYS SMILE, a dope new web series making the rounds at film festivals right now including Newfest and the Austin Film Festival!

About SIDEWAYS SMILE: Alex fakes orgasms because she’s never had one. After Dara, her eccentric queer roommate, pushes her to “get to know her pussy better,” Alex reluctantly enrolls in a class to get more in touch with her body. Each week, Alex learns something new about sexuality and identity, and must reckon with whether she wants to be what society tells her an Asian American woman should be or carve her own path.

About Marina: Marina Pires is a trilingual actress and singer-songwriter born in Brazil and raised in South Florida. She spent almost a year and a half touring with The Miami Sound Machine as a swing/understudy Gloria in “On Your Feet!” She was due to make her Broadway debut as Jasmine in Aladdin. And she still will. Eventually.
She was also on a badass musical improv team with Adrian when she first moved to the city and has been avoiding this interview ever since.
Here’s some other fun stuff she’s done: PHISH (Madison Square Garden), Vanessa “In The Heights” (Dallas Theatre Center), and Rapunzel “Into The Woods” (with Tituss Burgess).
Her band “The Heartstrings Project” is releasing their debut album Shadow People in 2020. Do us a favor and put us on your quarantine cooking playlist.

      <title>E10 - Lucia Sawh Doesn't Know Where She's From</title>
<description>Lucia Sawh is an actor and movement artist dwelling in Brooklyn, New York. Don’t ask her where she’s from, because she won’t have a clear answer for you. Although she was born in Colombia to a Colombian mother, and Guyanese father, she was cultivated throughout the US, moving from state to state every few years. The only consistency in her life was her love for the arts. She is a conservatory graduate of Terry Knickerbocker Studio and is currently studying improv at UCB. While she continues to work with independent filmmakers and artists of all walks to develop original art, she is lover of collaborations, so feel free to drop her a line! She loves new friends, feminism, hip hop, movement, and her nephew, Gabriel, above all. www.luciasawh.com // all the socials: @luciasawh

      <title>E8 - Esther Burke (A La Mezcla Family Special)</title>
<description>Esther is a consumer behavior and motivation researcher who spends most of her time trying to understand why people do, say, watch and buy the things that they do, with a focus on deconstructing how the internet and emerging technologies are revolutionizing the way we interact, consumer information and make decisions. Esther grew up in a half-Peruvian, half-Irish household (the same one as Adrian!), so she's equally well-versed in making Pisco Sours as well as how to properly pour a Guinness!
