In that spirit, I looked at artists who represent the opposite of the phony guru Zappa mocked in Cosmik Debris, musicians who reach for truth instead of selling shortcuts. We played The Impressions, George Harrison, Donovan, Peter Tosh, Jeff Buckley, Robert Plant, and others whose music feels grounded, also needed after the loss of fan favorite and one-of-a-kind troubadour, Todd Snider. This show just made sense. And not even the flu could stop me from getting behind the mic to chronicle this time in our history, mine and yours.
